Hello Lumpy, A lot of People aren't aware of the Close Ties between The Gurkhas & the Scots. In 1814 the British East India fought against them & by 1815 they were Recruiting them, they were that impressed with their Fighting Ability & their Honourable Tactics. The First Regiment they served with was Scottish & both were impressed with each other. The Scots understood them Far better than the English & they Bonded over the Feelings each had for the Highlands & Mountains of their Homelands. When the British Army Recruited them, it was the Scots who taught them Drill & Weaponry & the Bond grew Stronger. The Loyalty of the Gurkhas runs very Deep & they've never Forgotten their Scottish Brothers. The Pipers learnt their Craft from the Scots.

What a good sounding band although not keen on bagpipes and the marches without the bagpipes were a refreshing change from all the usual ones - excellent

Is it just me or are the bagpipes out of tune?
