Tremendous. Not only do they have the weight of their families back at home hanging over them...but they have the British public watching as well. These boys are the best of the best...and I know this country is so proud of them. We are honoured to be friends with Nepal and their great people.

Best soldiers out there. I was at the Tower of London on Sunday and I spoke to one of the Gurkha soldiers who was not on guard and I expressed my gratitude for their service. Amazing people and the most polite you'll ever meet. True friends and allies. 🇳🇵🇬🇧

Look lets not start virtue signalling for the sake of virtue signalling, im pretty sure the gurkhas wouldnt want that sort of feel sorry attention??, every gorka knows he's appreciated by us the British and respected highly for their professionalism far and wide, to say they've been the back bone in every single war is a bit over inflated? as they didnt get to fight in the falklands even though sent, which greatly angered and annoyed them...also many have already got many medals including VC's... The biggest respect we the public can show, is to honour them and never forget their sacrifices they have given for our country....

Reaching back into my memory banks more than 30 years I think it’s a march called ‘By the left ‘ being played but without the Bugle parts being played making it difficult to identify. It consisted of a Band part with several Bugle Duty Calls being played in it. I’m not 100% sure and I stand by to be corrected!
The Gurkhas (as Rifle regiments) originally had Buglers but this tradition seems to have been lost.
Ive noticed that the Gurkha bands continue to play a lot of their traditional tunes but without the Bugle parts, for example Sambre et Meuse and Men of the Hills.
      But very smart as ever!

How could the cops fire back with all the civilians around? Let alone the fact any terrorist attack would be by a bomb , not a sniper. Their presence spoiled the occasion for me . Great band and love the march at double time.
