  • Bought the FTX Outlaw for £104 minus £15 once I sold the NiMH battery and charger. Bargain! Locking the rear diff and a brushless 3100KV 60amp combo the total cost ended up at £120.
It's obviously not a basher, I have a few basher's already, this is what I,m classing as an aggressive all terrain climbing crawler thingy ma jig.
Lets hope I don't break it too quickly..

Yeah seems an interesting buggy if it doesn't fall apart. Looking forward to some proper runs soon.

Good work, that brushless motor gave it a lot more poke! Nice t-shirt too! Liked and subbed 👍

Any chance you remember the specs on the original motor? Length-wise that is. I'm trying to help out a friend upgrade his old outlaw to a brushless and we don't have the specs or the old motor anymore

Hi Ric. Nice video mate. That is a nice looking truck. Be interested to see how it does up at Ramsdown. Should do ok I think. Have you been able to go out with it on some rough ground yet? Look forward to getting my Yeti built and running them together. Hope life is good over in the UK. I'm just on the balcony looking at the sea and getting over a hangover !

Not had it out yet, rain preventing me when i have free time. Should be good at Ramsdown but we shall see.
Don't party too hard and if you can, send some heat over to UK.

Just bought an outlaw. Once my lads got use to it, I’ll go brushless I rekon. Nice video. Are you still on nimh batteries?

I use lipo batteries which gives it a big performance boost and longer run time. Disclaimer....use lipos with care!!!!😁

Took it out today and after a big spill it was game over ,but luckily a very cheap repair even with an upgraded replacement.

Why not just buy the Brushless version anyway saves all the upgrades

    • @rcricco239

Brushless was over double the price at that time and I had a brushless set doing nothing.
Hope that this explanation is sufficient for you?
After owning two FTX rc vehicles, I've decided that there are much better alternatives for roughly the same price or just a bit more.
