Hi Lee, have you hit any insurance quote etc problems due to disabling the airbags and changing the wheel. Any advice or recommendations welcomed...I have a Momo to fit but haven't yet.
Found it ! the ground is the intermediate fitting ring in OMP! btw your video is great, showing tools and the exact procedure you followed. SUPER. Cheers
Multi hobbyman cheers mate, it'll all be down to whatever I can afford. At least you know it will be realistic stuff and super expensive recaros nobody can afford 👍😁
Aiden is all Knowing yes I've been considering it but I cant think of way to do it and look good. Don't like the stuck on look. My video for the lights is delayed as I'm doing it a little different. Brand new light fittings and converting the projectors to demon eye. I post regular on Instagram if you want updates 👍
Very good video, as per usual. One question regarding the fitment of this wheel. I have long legs that seem to get in the way of the standard wheel, so I need more clearance. How far back does the MOMO sit compared to the standard wheel... What options do I have, other than a smaller diameter wheel?
Looking forward to your next video with the headlight lens! Where did you order yours from? I’m thinking of getting a pair for my Spyder as well to have that sleek look since the projector lens also come with a halo ring.
Steve Hiya, me too they will look good.. the video is a bit delayed. I've ordered brand new lights and some red LEDs so I can modify the projectors to be demon eye too. The projectors were just random ones from eBay. But look for the bi-xenon so it has high/low beam
SpyderLEE I appreciate the comment back! I was wondering if you can tell me the size I’m supposed to get the projector lens? There are some that are 2.5” or like 3.0”. Didn’t know what measurement to get so that’ll it fit nicely with my headlights
SpyderLEE So would you recommend getting the 3” lens? Because if that’s the case I’ll start looking into lens that are that size and see what I can find that’ll look cool on my Spyder haha
The Most Ariel it just went on with the plug off. I soldered the cable directly to the pin on the clock spring. It just squeezed in. I thought momo would have designed it a bit better with it being a car specific one and not universal
i hate the toyota sterring wheel but i love the airbag anyway the momo is just great. as for the headlights i will send you some fotos to see what i did in mines?
I am a Spyder owner was well - this morning I was looking at my steering wheel I wanted to replace it while maintaining an OEM appearance, do you think a GT86-series wheel could work?
What's the part number for the boss
Still so far one of my most favorite spyder builds
Does the smaller wheel block the dash? Especially the speedo? It is hard to see already with the stock wheel.
Lee you're the best. Whatever I need to know about you've always got a video for it!
that exhaust sounds awesome
Hi, How long is 2 the screw that holds the horn pad/airbag? I lost mine and need to buy a replacement. Thanks!
Not sure but speak to Andy at www.j-spec.co.uk they’ll probably have some.

I was thinking the same. In the UK isn't it illegal to drive on the road without an airbag if the car was originally fitted with one?
Great video. Plan on doing it to my other Spyder once I convert it to a manual.
Hi lee, missing something in your work. IS that a two contact horn os single? Where did u get the second cable. OEM is single contact. Cheers m8!
JDMidol hi mate, horn only needs one cable, the other side of the switch goes to earth. The oem is earthed through the steering wheel
Saw now that u got a ground plug in your momo boss, no idea where is that in an OMP boss.... :/

JDMidol ah lol, just jam the cable on a ring connector between the wheel and the boss it’ll Earth that way. 👍
I did exactly like that! :) thx m8 really appreciate your video and help!!!!!
Are we going to see any new seats, cage etc
Multi hobbyman yes eventually. 😀
SpyderLEE cool. Can't wait to see what stuff you get.
Multi hobbyman cheers mate, it'll all be down to whatever I can afford. At least you know it will be realistic stuff and super expensive recaros nobody can afford 👍😁
SpyderLEE Im trying to decide on what seats to get.all depends on how wide they are vs cage size.
Ever considered installing Switchback LED Strips on the front headlights? I really want to order some but I have no idea how one would install them.

The other option is use a drift wheel. They are a deeper dish. Closer to your chest but away from your knees.
@@SpyderLEE I've got you, thanks for that. Can I get a wheel just like yours, but with a longer/deeper boss?
@@julianneale6128 yeah a boss with a quick release will bring the wheel further forwards.
Mr lee lm very glad if you can name what hub do use, from the Philippines joe

Steve the ones I have are 2.5" but I think 3" probably would have looked better.

Steve I'm not sure if the 3" stick out more. If you look on my Instagram you can see what the 2.5" looks like
I had to ditch my clock spring when i replaced my steering wheel. I have 00 Celica, I installed a MOMO Jet steeringhweel
The Most Ariel it just went on with the plug off. I soldered the cable directly to the pin on the clock spring. It just squeezed in. I thought momo would have designed it a bit better with it being a car specific one and not universal
My car is 180.000km, oil changes every 15.000km, never ever the oil was below midle level before change, so, no oil required here
What is the steering wheel size?
My MR2 (2003) has shifter buttons on the steering wheel. How do I disable these without messing something up?
Works Bell makes a hub with shifter buttons specifically for the smt mr2’s
i hate the toyota sterring wheel but i love the airbag anyway the momo is just great.

Richard Perez to be honest, I’m not sure which other stock wheels fit
I'd like a steering wheel that is squared off at the bottom so I can actually get in and out of the car.
Yup, I just got one for mine, now chasing the boss kit
Nice video 🚲🚲
thanks for this vid
