Well that was a lovely little adventure with plenty of twists and turns. Loved the traditional medicine stall. Who are we to doubt the curative properties of such things which may have been used successfully over centuries. Certainly big Pharma are looking more and more towards trditional "cures". Mina is gonna be so funny +6 months when she is speaking almost fluent Au English. My Polish friend, when speaking Polish he is Polish. When speaking English he speaks with a northern Lancashire accent more northern than myself 🇬🇧

No, not all of them. If a song is licenced the software will pick it up. It just seems that anything captured in the background that is Thai is detected more often than any other. There is a lot of Lao music that isn't copyrighted also but it's hard for me to tell the difference sometimes so that's why I asked. 👌

I met a Laos woman on tinder, been talking for a month, tempted to go over one day. Dunno if I date her or anything since it'd cost so much for regular flights there but now Laos is on my brain either way I think I might have to go at least once in my life.
Looks like it might be expensive to get there but cheap to stay though so I dunno how that might shake out. I live in Tassie so LONG flight, Google said it was over $2k there and back before anything else.

They're part of Singapore Airlines. I just searched flights from Melbourne to Vientiane for 18th Oct $377au. Return 2nd Nov $405au. Ya just need to get to Melbourne mate 👌
Flights are always cheaper midweek. Have a look at it, play around with the dates, it will show you what days are cheaper. I don't even bother looking at other airlines now, real happy flying scoot, plus the stopover in Singapore is good, great airport to chill at. 👌

You should trade your truck in for a Jeep Gladiator with a winch then you would be able to explore a lot more places than you can with your big less capable full size truck.
You're right, we do need something tougher, more reliable and with a winch and many other things but, a Jeep is far from the top of my list. The Gladiator looks great but it's very thirsty, not to mention the availability of spares in this part of the world and how expensive those parts are. They do look good tho 👌
