    This was a GREAT tutorial! I tried all methods except 2-4 which was due to limited or non-applicable system results and thought that after running the "Check Disk" and still seeing the error. I would have to take it into a shop. However, I decided to try one random action and that was to go back into Advance Options, Startup Settings, and selected Safe Mode. My PC started to process the action. Then suddenly I heard the Windows chime!!! To my surprise my system did not boot into Safe Mode but actually opened Windows as normal. Man was I excited! So I am not sure if it was any of the processes that acted as the contributing catalyst but apparently attempting to initiate Safe Mode allowed the system to boot into Windows normally. So for what its worth. Try going into Safe Mode first and again this was a great tutorial, thank you!

  • @Grover_
    @Grover_ 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Tanks a lot for your video it helps a lot ! However on my case it is most for understanding the problem as for now :
    1.Enabling AHCI mode didn’t work
    2.Cleaned the hard drive still not working
    3.In the advanced options, System restore didn’t work as well as System Image recovery, Startup repair
    3.In Cmd Prompt, after typing c:\>dir, there was a $Windows.~BT file as well as a Window.old file (I suspect the problem comes from here)
    4.Remove pending update : all command works until 4th command where I get: Error 50 DISM does not support servicing Windows PE with the /Online option so couldn’t finish 5 and 6th command.
    5.On SFC scan this message popped after I type the command ‘Windows resources could not perform the requested operation (same as you so still restarted the pc but still not working)
    6.On DISM tool also not working.
    7.On Check Disk tool, everything went smoothly. Got this message when it was done: Failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 50.
    At this point I’m not really sure what to do next expect from buying a new hardware.
    I would be eternally grateful if you know what is going on.

    Ehhh. As the comments say, if your issue is a BIOS setting, the beginning works, but the help sorta ends there. The reg backup recovery is probably sound advice (although mine is empty), but the rest of these are iffy at best.
    .
    Some of the commands you're showing here are straight up failing even in your own video. There's typos in the commands in the description. They don't work on any install (eg 9:40). Then on top of that you're running DISM with the /online option, meaning you're running it from a fully booted operating system. This is a very different situation than somebody with this "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE" BSOD error who is in WinPE recovery like you directed - and can't use that flag. In theory you should be able to just substitute /Image, sure, but it's situational and doesn't always work. A similar situation applies to your SFC command,, some of these operations only work in online mode, which anybody who is having this issue is not in.
    .
    At the end of the day this unfortunately reads like you copied/pasted this stuff from another source w/o actually understanding what is going on. Not trying to be a dick, but that's what it looks like based on the issues with the commands. It may give some people direction though on what they can look into further to try and diagnose this issue.

    • @Vaynecenzo
      @Vaynecenzo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So is there any other fix if it's not the AHCI step?

    • @MrSlowestD16
      @MrSlowestD16 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Vaynecenzo It depends entirely on what the problem is. If the problem is caused by a recent Windows update, then the DISM commands might go somewhere. If it's an important file issue the system file checker (SFC) might get somewhere. Both failed for me last time I had this issue, though. Neither helped.
      From there, if it's caused by a driver you installed you can uninstall it through safe mode. If it's not any of those (broken system file, botched update, or faulty driver), IMO it becomes infinitely harder, and then the best options are either try to restore from an image, and if that fails or you don't have a restore point, format time.

    Cool video however my problem is I used macarium reflect to clone the drive. When I installed the new drive in my laptop I get this stop code. So it has something to do with the cloning software or Windows knowing I cloned it and not letting me do that. I really don't know enough about Windows to know what's going on other than if I were to have done a Linux DD command with a Linux system this would have worked perfectly fine. I also did same exact thing using etcher Drive clone and I get the same inaccessible stop code. What do I need to do? You may not know?

    I updated my Asus bios on my Z790 and was getting this message for a few hours. Watched all the 'Inaccessible boot device' videos I could here on YT with no luck.
    Finally, I noticed all my drives were listed as RAID on the first page of my UEFI. I toggled the Intel Rapid Storage Technology option below and it put them back to what they should have been. I cannot remember if it was off and I turned it on, or vice versa. Whatever it was, it enabled my NVME boot drive to be detected again.
    I've updated my bios a few times before with no issues. I think I pressed the wrong function key when it first rebooted and told it I wanted to run my drives in RAID mode or something.

    Windows couldn't detect the boot partition whilst trying some boot repair commands, yet the windows partition on the same drive was browsable without errors. I received the Inaccessible bsod error after doing nothing but a 5 second microsoft -malware- defender update. I gave up, connected a usb with a copy of windows on it, chose reset in the repair options *but selected to keep my files* .. everything installed in Program Files (installed programs) was removed. The hidden Appdata folder (where programs often keep saves, browser passwords and so on) were removed, but moved to a temporary Windows Old folder on the root of C, just in case you wanted to copy anything back to where they should be, after reinstalling programs later on. Your desktop files, downloads and documents folders should all be ok. Obviously shortcuts on the desktop won't work anymore until you reinstall software. Remove any unnecessary drives or devices before any last resort 'reset and keep my files' option if nothing else works. Run crystaldiskinfo or a similar tool if you can get into windows or after the reinstall to make sure your drives are healthy. If any cautionary messages appear, copy vital data to another device and replace the old windows drive

    If you don't find ACHI in advanced, just navigate to other menu and check there.
    I did not find ACHI in advanced but in some other header.

    So I had a few drivers out of date. I believe 2 of them was NVM storage drivers I updated the first one and restarted the PC that's when I ran into the BSOD. None of the steps done anything the directorys couldn't be found. The only one that's doing something is the chkdsk. Failing this can I just re install Windows?

    I have a m.2 drive that has the OS. I was trying to enable secure boot option in Bios of Gigabyte Z97-D3H. After rebooting my bios didn't detect any drives and said 'no bootable device found'. I googled a lot and changed my SATA config to IDE when my windows system drive finally appeared in Bios Boot Options. After selecting it, this new Windows 10 error started - Inaccessible Boot Device. I'm frustrated at my own stupidity to try and enable secure boot. This one thing has caused this issue. My pc syill refuses to boot. Idk what to do :( I'm gonna try these methods and hope one of them works.

    • @funwithtalkingtom_official
      @funwithtalkingtom_official ปีที่แล้ว

      So i finally found the fix. No prompts in this video were accessible to me. However my fix was the AHCI setting. But it was not as straightforward for me. I lost all boot options suddenly from bios while trying to turn on secure boot. No hard drives were showing up. So I found a fix to go to sata config and change it to IDE. Now my hard drives finally showed up. But everytime I booted, this blue screen would appear. I tried everything in this video. Some of it was inaccessible to me. Sfc scannow didnt work either. System restore didnt work either. I didn't wanna reset my pc so I weny ahead and watched this video 2 more times. The only thing I didn't try was changed IDE back to AHCI. But last time AHCI didnt work for me. No hard drives were showing. This time too, it didn't work. Had to change back to IDE once again. I was stuck in this loop where IDE would detect drives but windows would give bluescreen and AHCI would straight up show no drives. So I went into cmd again and this time I noticed my windows files were on F drive instead of C drive. I have another hard drive in the system that was now assigned letter C. So I googled how to change letters and changed the letter of the drive containing my system files to C. Then I rebooted into Bios and changed from IDE to AHCI and viola! I'm in my system. Everything works normally.
