Really an excellent build, that will allow for flexibility between engines. Classic appearance by Miss Daisy qualifies this video as a "two thumbs up" production!
On your plate where the bell housing bolts are. You could flip it over and put ford bolt pattern, then you'd have both patterns on one plate. Just a thought. Love your videos and always waiting on the next one. Thanks for the informative and entertaing videos.
Very nicely done! Love to see a good initial plan and the ability to adapt as the build goes along. The end result is great! Also, after watching a ton of your videos I just realized your left handed…welcome to the club!
Thanks pops. Me and my brother was just going to build one of those engine stands. And if you don't mind. We are using your idea. Thanks pops keep up the good work
In my heart of hearts, in all of life and all that I myself do love, I truly 100% from the bottom of my heart truly do believe that the 2 absolutely most gratifying things in the world at large are 1- cutting the grass. The whole nine yards, trimming, edging, weeding, blowing.. all of it, weekly during the summer. That's just the absolute 2nd best rewarding chore in the world. I LOVE doing the lawn. Still cut the parent's and the in-law's lawns EVERY week (and I'm 44).. 2- Fabricating something from scratch. No BETTER feeling than a freshly fabricated something. Anything.. Steel, wood, tile work, 3d printed.. anything. Cutting the grass and fabricating both take me to the same mindset of nirvana. I love LOVE it!! Great video my friend, thank you for this one!!
I found your TH-cam channel last night and let me just say. This is by far my favorite TH-cam channel right now. Just makes me think of my paw and I really appreciate you being yourself!
Nice stand ! I’d put a tool tray on it and a boat gas tank and a throttle stick plus a choke , but that’s me not you ! Lol. Oh and an oil pan / tray to change the oil would be handy .
Hope everyone is having a great new year so far!? Awesome way to finish up the week by watching your videos!!!!Your the best keep up the amazing work you do!!!!God bless you!!!!!!🙏🤓
Thx for posting. Been thinking on a engine test stand design for awhile but completely forgot about needing to get the engine lift stand under it. Happy New Year.
Really enjoyed watching the new fabricate the stand. I'm so glad I found your Channel I watched every video you have. I enjoyed watching you work on things build things anything as always thank you for the hard work you put in the videos for us. Can't wait to see the shop get built machine in a couple videos back the poles in the ground can't wait till you get that done.
Happy New Year Chad! Glad to see your newest display of ingenious entertainment! I still have a few videos to catch up on, but that is what binge watching is for.
Regardless of what you're working on it's always interesting. Your run stand looks very nice, looking forward to seeing you operating it. Keep up the great work and have a wonderful new year 👍✌️🇺🇲
Mechanic, welder, fabricator, electronics, electrician, internet guru, some singing lessons and you will be a well rounded man, lol, very entertaining and informative. Keep up the good work.
Good job. A universal starting stand. You could probably sell some plans for that. Do you think you had a big enough grinder? I would think a normal 4 or 5" would have done the job. You are right on the china freight blades. Have you thought of putting some bloopers at the end of your video like others do? Keep up the good videos, love them all. Nice to see miss Daisy again.
you could probley just slot those motor mount plate holes to fit all kinds of engines with out making different plates for diff. engines ..just a thought .. great vid!!
Thanks for sharing Chad, looks great brother! Stay safe, warm and healthy my friend! Sending prayers for you and your family, Kirk from Louisiana! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Man, i was torn with this 1. I love watching ya work on old junk. Buildin a run stand wasnt a project im interested in, but ya made it something i watched! Good job my man. I'm apparently in for whatever you're doing. Keep up the good work!
Run stand looks great!! Love the control panel. Also and oh by the way, I think it’s a requirement of the universe that when you build a run stand, you make it impossible to get the engine crane frame under it. I did the same thing once upon a time.
that was truly awesome,,i know you always say that you are no expert but making that stand from scratch was pretty good! hats off to you !happy new year!
Very nice video as usual we might not agree on everything but you always make me think and keep me honest with myself and I always learn thank you sir PEACE ☮️
Nice ,job ! I think though if it was I, I do the back like an engine stand where they move around for different blocks ,but it's very nice design ,can't wait to see more
I bought one of those little roll a round engine stands got lucky got it on sale for 350.0 I don't have a welder or anything like that, can't wait to fire up one of three motors, one with boom tubes 357 chevy one 306 gt40p heads and pull headers and my bronco 351 gt40 heads and long tube hookers to welcome spring lol..
I don't wanna point out obvious kinda thangs BUT, you forgot the throttle. Something to actuate the carb will be a huge help when a motor is cold. FE's,Windsor's and 385's all have different motor mounting. The LA Dodge blocks, versus the new style magnum, are also different. Your 318,when you pull it, will show you the typical mounting. A Chrysler big block is another one you'll have to make a set for. The back plate, I'd build for maker too. The Gm bolt pattern's are pretty much the same.
I don't see any need in that. All I've got to do is reach up at the carb and hit the throttle. I believe I stated I would have to make different mounts for different motors.
I don't know how I MISSED THIS EPISODE,, just now watching it,, I gotta clean up a mess I made, just about time you mentioned CHINA Freight ,I WAS TAKING A SWIG OF MELLO YELLO, AND WHEN I HEARD THAT I SPRAYED IT EVERYWHERE!!😲😳😳😂 reminds me of when I refer to TSC,,as HORSE SUPPLY ( ABOUT ALL THEY HAVE IS HORSE STUFF) AND WALMART MIGHT AS WELL BE CALLED "CHINA-MART"!!
So I'm watching a video about the 30 cylinder Sherman Tank engine made by Chrysler. The video is Visioracer " the super complicated 30 cylinder....." on the first shot of the straight 6 cyl. As reference is Your Video at 2 mins, pulling the generator out of the tree row, your garage basement, I thought I'd see Mrs Daisy come running up but didnt.... check it out.
For your pivot peices, the on that will be on the block mounts. Make them a wee bit shorter, or round off your edges. It will help in the mounting to the bottom upright arms.
your comment about having to screw it up 2 or 3 times to get it right made me think of what my dad told me once, he built house pads and roads for a living and the company he worked for had an unofficial motto it was we do it right because we do it twice. lol
Really an excellent build, that will allow for flexibility between engines. Classic appearance by Miss Daisy qualifies this video as a "two thumbs up" production!
Like watching a Popular Mechanic magazine come to life. Nicely done Chad.
On your plate where the bell housing bolts are. You could flip it over and put ford bolt pattern, then you'd have both patterns on one plate. Just a thought. Love your videos and always waiting on the next one. Thanks for the informative and entertaing videos.
Woo hoo!!! Let's get it!!! Best part of my Friday yet again! Today couldn't get here fast enough!
💙🙏🏼👊🏼
Very nicely done! Love to see a good initial plan and the ability to adapt as the build goes along. The end result is great! Also, after watching a ton of your videos I just realized your left handed…welcome to the club!
We're looking forward to seeing that motor run.👍 thanks for the video.
Nice work! Always look forward to seeing your new projects. Thank you!
Thanks pops. Me and my brother was just going to build one of those engine stands. And if you don't mind. We are using your idea. Thanks pops keep up the good work
Awesome I can hardly wait until that engine is running. Thank you for sharing

Great job. You always just make things look easy and just simply make sense. Can't wait to see that hold a running engine 👍
A fine design executed well. A run stand is always a good thing.
Thanks. Central California watching.
Looks great! Engineer friend said to add more triangles to make structures stronger. Square turn into rhombus real quick. Triangle make square better.
It's a run stand not a drag race frame, therefore no load just revs.
Friday is not over until This and That garage has been watched 💪💪💪
I found your TH-cam channel last night and let me just say. This is by far my favorite TH-cam channel right now. Just makes me think of my paw and I really appreciate you being yourself!
Preshate that. Stick around and we'll have some fun!
Nice stand ! I’d put a tool tray on it and a boat gas tank and a throttle stick plus a choke , but that’s me not you ! Lol. Oh and an oil pan / tray to change the oil would be handy .
I really enjoyed that today, looking forword to the next one.

That was pretty cool. I love that kind of genius.
This was a very cool project Chad. Thanks for the added laughs...!! Happy New Year...!! Cheers
I am a maintenance/printing process technician in plastics and man I learned the way you did by doing. I love your know now.
Nice....hear it run before....it goes in the "whatever" keep up the good work 👍 2023
Good to see you Sir, I hope all is well
Love your get 'er done work ethic! Nice work This N That!
It takes a special kind of fabricator to use only plans in your head, KUDOS!
I heard you singing…you need to be in Nashville! 🤠
God bless 🙏🏼🇺🇸
One cool engine stand I can't wait to see the video with a motor on it run
Thanks for a great video keep them coming for a good year
I always love watching my Saturday morning this and that garage
Thx for posting. Been thinking on a engine test stand design for awhile but completely forgot about needing to get the engine lift stand under it. Happy New Year.

Mechanic, welder, fabricator, electronics, electrician, internet guru, some singing lessons and you will be a well rounded man, lol, very entertaining and informative. Keep up the good work.
Looks great and I'm sure it will work for most engines with the built in adjustments you incorporated into the stand. 👍👍
That was fun to watch and your editing is perfect!
Preshate it.
That sir was the funnest cool video i have seen ,,, thats how i work in my garage lookin fer next video thank s sooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A great video and a fantastic build. Well done.
You have truly got an amazing engineering mind, another job well done
Looking forward to seeing your next video

Nice job and works well, I would put some round safety pins through your upright posts under the vertical pinch slider, cant be too safe!
Don't really see any need. Once bolted to the motor they're not going anywhere.
LOL! ... Nice Mud Dobber decoration on the side of the engine block next to the Fram oil filter ..... I think I have a few of those also! ...
Man, i was torn with this 1. I love watching ya work on old junk. Buildin a run stand wasnt a project im interested in, but ya made it something i watched! Good job my man. I'm apparently in for whatever you're doing. Keep up the good work!
That there motor run is fine as frog hair. Great video as always my friend.
Pull out that gas-ka-leen and look what you can build Mr. Chad! Great video sir as always!
Very nice run stand. Good video
Excellent video, very clear descriptions.
Can't wait to see how you're stand works. I might take some of your ideas and build my own. Good video!
Good job Chad. Looking forward to seeing the engine running. Good luck buddy and a happy new year.
Good job Chad ! Real nice engin stand ! Simple yet good and strong 🤙🤙🤙
Excellent Idea and design.
Nice build brother! A whole lot better than mine. You got me wanting to build a new un.
Run stand looks great!! Love the control panel. Also and oh by the way, I think it’s a requirement of the universe that when you build a run stand, you make it impossible to get the engine crane frame under it. I did the same thing once upon a time.
Great job, very informative and helpful keep the content coming 💪
Great Job! I like it!If I ever need one I will Steal(I mean Barrow) this design!
Have at it!
Cool stand 👍. That flexplate sounded cracked
Hello miss daisy! Nice work Chad 👍. Good to see you doing some low stress fab work.
That turned out nice. Good job.
May I suggest fitting a throttle controller it might just make things a little bit easier for you mate 😉
Nah. I'll just grab the carburoster and twist it.
Great Job. Blessings from Texas
that was truly awesome,,i know you always say that you are no expert but making that stand from scratch was pretty good! hats off to you !happy new year!
Everything you do is awesome great job on the run stand 👍👍. Absolutely love all your videos keep up the good work.
Very nice video as usual we might not agree on everything but you always make me think and keep me honest with myself and I always learn thank you sir
PEACE ☮️
Nice ,job ! I think though if it was I, I do the back like an engine stand where they move around for different blocks ,but it's very nice design ,can't wait to see more
Nice work! That's going to come in handy!
I really like this making anything from scratch YOU DID GRATE !!!
I love that it can be used for different engins
That’s a pretty neat engine test stand!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You are slicker than a firehouse pole . I'll tell you what. Nice job brother 👍. God bless.
O degrees. Rain and snow?
Just before Christmas.
We had that here in Brighton, hour north of Memphis!
It sucked for a little over a week!
Looks great i built one could not use clutch fan not enough air movement. Went to 7 or 6 blade flex fan worked great
Might have to go with an electric fan eventually.
Try Starrett saw blades. Love the videos!
Great job! This should really come in handy!
It sure will!
Nicely done.
Enjoyed this video very much. Thank you
I bought one of those little roll a round engine stands got lucky got it on sale for 350.0 I don't have a welder or anything like that, can't wait to fire up one of three motors, one with boom tubes 357 chevy one 306 gt40p heads and pull headers and my bronco 351 gt40 heads and long tube hookers to welcome spring lol..
Love what you do👍
You The Man!
Cannot wait to see an engine running in that👍👍👍
Next week hopefully.
Nice piece of Back yard Engineering! Should work great!
Enjoyed the fab work
In the 1970 high School shop class we made a radio and t v tube tester and we used a chassis punch to make the holes in the sheet metal
Great job that will be a useful tool.
I enjoy your channel always look forward to your videos

I'm jealous. That is so cool.
Just subscribed, great show, look forward to seeing you filming in the new shop!
Preshate that. 👍
Happy new year sir! Great content as always.

I didn't have any trouble bolting them together.
just a suggestion ole friend a vacuum gauge would be awsome too to dial in ur carbs im saving this build to build one like it when my garage is built
your comment about having to screw it up 2 or 3 times to get it right made me think of what my dad told me once, he built house pads and roads for a living and the company he worked for had an unofficial motto it was we do it right because we do it twice. lol
Sounds about right!
I'd say it turned out pretty good
Enjoyed the picture show.
Happy new Year to you.
Great content love the humor
