I already appreciate the level of detail in the podcast. The fact that you all have a team breaking down the clips and timestamping is big for me. Can't wait to dig into these episodes.
This was awesome! Billy Donovan is a legend along with these guys who built the foundation of the team who made it to '99-'00 NCAA Championship, something most people did not think could happen after Lon Kruger got us there in '94. Great podcast Mike and Udonis, hope to see more former Gators on here, great to see the different generation of Gators on here!
Billy Donovan is hilarious. Is my 1st time seeing his personality out in the open. He's great! I kinda love him now. Love his ideas and opinions about the in and out of the basketball and college basketball. He was such a great guess
Two authentic, real Guys U.D. and Mike Miller "The OG's" is already becoming one of my favorite pods, these 2 have that Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles (Knuckleheads) chemistry with the interviews, just a cool laid back vibe! 💯
I remember playing in the Dodge Shootout in Gainesville over the summer in high school. OG was supposed to be the new T-Mac. I was scared to ask UD for an autograph. Lol. Great time playing against Kwame Brown, Nick Calathes, Chandler Parson. Great time meeting UD, Brent Wright, Teddy D, Ladarius Halton, good times thanks Coach Billy D.
This is now one of my favorite basketball shows to listen to ( and watch) No BS. you guys don’t try to make controversial statements or talk about things like you’re always right. Just good conversation with great guests spitting knowledge
Its crazy the history that the OGs have with people. When I see this coach, I remember the big 3 heat and little 12 days when we beat that young athletic okc team 4-1
@UD from your brother from Duval I am making sure all the fellas watch you and Mike’s podcast. This is like sitting around chopping it up with you and MM. Keep up the good work. Wishlist of guest: Antoine Walker, Ray Allen (only former C’s @UD would chop it up with), Rasheed Wallace, Elton Brand, K Martin, GP, White Chocolate anybody
Mike/UD, doubt y’all see this, but one of my favorite memories as a kid was this one time @ UF basketball camp where UD was coaching a team of 10yr olds. All the UF players coached and/or refereed the games all the campgoer’s, and UD’s team lost vs my team (can’t even remember my coach lol) in the finals due to a bad call from one of the other players. UD’s reaction would make Bobby Knight blush. It was admittedly a little scary at the time but I believe UD had to be physically restrained from fighting one his teammates who was refereeing a camp ball game. From there on it was no surprise that UD won wherever he went. Nobody can teach you that type of competitiveness. As an old 34 yo with 3 kids now thank you guys & coach, of course, for the memories as a kid. Congrats on all of y’all’s successes in life, #1 of course is being good fathers. Looking forward to more of this!
W Kentucky Chris Marcus 7'1" is the player i believe they mentioned , who had an interesting life, never played till high school. Sadly passed in 2020.
UD mentioning graduates still working at normal jobs than the career job they studied for back in his day that’s still happening today. It’s just hard out there after graduating
Absolutely, you don't want to listen to players n the they don't listen to you n already lost in your locker room give n take in every situation. I think that's why a lot of the older coaches aren't around anymore. That my way mentality.
Udonis Haslem’s statement about people who have a degree is wild and very poor. I see why dude can’t even talk without cursing left and right. I glad the coach as a smart man educated him. Dude you are lucky because you were gifted with body that allowed you to play a sport that goes and match perfectly with the size that you have. So, instead talking down on people that were not built with the size that you have, the height that you have, the potential that you have a sport, say thanks to God bro.
it's pretty crazy to see what the NCAA has wrought for itself. trying for so long to keep players from being paid might ultimately be their downfall. But we'll see
Now that Dragic retired, I would love to see him on the podcast too!
He retired?? We could still use him on the Heat now.
Yup yup
Dragic ftw
This is a MUST!!!!!!
Stoooopppp itttt!! That’ll be 🔥! I believe the OGs can pull it through for us! The dragon deserves his respect and a platform.
I already appreciate the level of detail in the podcast. The fact that you all have a team breaking down the clips and timestamping is big for me. Can't wait to dig into these episodes.
Time stamping is a major game changer🔥
Crazy how Coach Billy D turned UF into a power house basketball school. Definitely the foundation was laid by those 2 major pieces to that program.
So many gems. That segment in particular about the perspective about sacrificing but more so the power of believing in that sacrifice. I needed that.

Went in liking Billy D, left lovin' Billy D.
What was melo like in OKC? And was it difficult to balance out the offensive with Russ and pg?.
Absolutely, you don't want to listen to players n the they don't listen to you n already lost in your locker room give n take in every situation. I think that's why a lot of the older coaches aren't around anymore. That my way mentality.

Brilliant
Billy-can you talk about the walk-ons?? Patrick O’Connor? Dave Kliewer? Adriel Davis?
I agree try getting the dragon on there. He said he wanted to live in Miami at the end of his career too supposedly

Exactly. And of course people think its so cool. Its pathetic. He'd probably be in jail otherwise.
It was Chris Marcus....big man outta Western Kentucky....

it's pretty crazy to see what the NCAA has wrought for itself. trying for so long to keep players from being paid might ultimately be their downfall. But we'll see
