true Heat fans remember how Dragić was probably the most consistent player in between the heatles and jimmy era. dude made a ton of sacrifices for the team, and stayed consistent and loyal even when shit went rough in ways no one could have possibly foreseen (CB retiring, DWade leaving for example.) idk how Pat and the Heat management see things, but he earned the right to retire as a member of the Heat and have his name in the rafters. Goran was the Heat's leading scorer in the 2020 playoff run right until he got injured in the finals.

People forget Goran was our top scorer in the playoffs in 2020 and if he had not been injured we really could have won. He deserved to get to play and it was some cruel ish to see.

Goran is seriously one of the coolest cats to ever put on a Heat jersey. Also one of the best point guards to ever play in Miami. I don't own many Heat jerseys, but I'm glad I own his.

He is one of the best players of his time in Slovenia and is now working as part of the Mavs trainers!
And he was the first basketball player from Slovenia to play in the NBA.

That Eurobasket run was so good. That was when I knew that Luka can co exist with Kyrie when they made the trade. He already had experience playing with the Dragon. He also played with great players from Real Madrid and earned their respect. It was just a matter of putting the right pieces around them.

I LOVE listening to these guys. In amongst the hilarity, jokes and brotherly nudging they give each other, they have great reads on basketball and inside experience. Love hearing the history and how differently (because of their careers) they see things so differently from the average fan.

Goran dragic was such a solid player. Took over the suns team and became a starter under steve nash’s tutelage. So many tryouts from bledsoe, thomas, knight.

I might be wrong, but I believe that Slovakia wasn’t really a participant in the Yugoslavian wars.
@@astrodoops You are totally correct. Slovakia is a different country. But Slovenia did. Luckily we were the first to break away from Yugoslavia so the war lasted only 10 days, then the army retreated. Other countries were not as lucky, probably due to proximity to Serbia.
