To some extent, isn't that pretty much true of any S tier character by definition though. Especially in NRS games where the strongest characters are usually designated not so much by what they do well but who has the biggest toolkit and most options.
Aquaman is one of the reasons why I refuse to play ranked matches in the game, Black Atom, Captain Cold, Red Hood have very similar strengths. Luckily you stand a better chance against them with a high defense customized character and swapped abilities on player matches so they can't automatically know what attacks/combos to expect.
A suggestion, you should do a "Why I main" series where you talk about your favorite things on your favorite characters on MK11 or other games, saying how you like to play them and giving some tips
Aquamans trait had a glaring weakness you didn't cover at all. You take full damage on block when its active so playing against people who knew that would just use really strong block strings and special cancel or even bounce cancel for 20 to 30% punish for trait activation.
Aquaman's a basic character that has solid tools in pressuring and footsies (range and trait). A lot of great Aquaman players banks on these fundamentals, along with their knowledge of matchups and frames. He just lacks a bit mixup options against more safe and mobile characters.

"Surface Dwellers" lui kang has a move called done listening and i dont why its so funny.its his 212 if you're wondering and its pretty funny to me. Thats gotta the best job at Netherralm. Give Ed boon a break and lets interview that guy. I bet hes got a great sense of humor

Moira O'Deorain you do know that you take the full damage of the move you block right? meaning that you have to have low enough expectations for yourself to block whatever comes next in the first place (which you wont know because you arent psychic) ,you would still need to be grounded, AND you take full chip damage, take away the extra chip damage and you have a not terrible idea what youre suggesting would make it extremely high risk, situational, with an inconsistent ok reward

The fact that you can't take your turn against him while trait is active because you can be punished for trying that, even if you stay safe, you won't get as much damage as a full combo punish. You still can block, between strings. The only thing that changes is you must have the trait active before, and the opponent, can rely on his hit confirms, without thinking that in any moment of the string he can activate his trait and ruin your offence. Also with the trait active, the opponent can't play neutral with you, and in a aggressive game as Inj2 that's very powerful. It just change that

So I didn't notice this before but at 13:39 you made a mention to Tekken 5 saying that (paraphrasing) all games were just Bob mirrors. However, that did not become the case till Tekken 6. Tekken 5 did not have Bob as a new character, same goes for Dark Resurrection (T5DR)

I heard that when making Aquaman in Injustice 2, they changed that move where he strikes his trident low and flips you over him so you swap sides compared to IJ1 because in the first game, it could basically endlessly juggle an opponent. So I hear. When IJ1 came out, several of my coworkers who aren't comics fans played the game, and one guy said "Aquaman is my boy!". Learning how god like and broken the character was, I guess he'd change anyone's opinion on him. lol

people forgot but aquaman was even cheaper int he first game, he can combo into scoop with no meter, and can do two trident smash, (move twhere he slams his trident on the floor and tracks the opponent) in 1 combo where in the second game he could only do 1 with meter before the patch.

I think launch Geras was one of the most perfect characters NRS has ever made. Had great fast and advancing mids, had the most damaging and easiest to get KB’s (if I remember correctly, had 3 different counter hit krushing blows, all of which did 30% or more) the entire game, had one of the best fatal blows in the game, you couldn’t zone him because of Quick Sand, he had the best jump in with body splash, he had and continues to have the best throws in the game, and he had probably the easiest, highest damaging combos in the game with Gauntlet of the Ages (especially with the Deoxys strat) and a safe all mid meterless launcher off F212 in the corner, he had mixups off his 241, F23, and 111 strings, which 111 lead into a 34% (I think) KB if you didn’t block high, and almost every string and button he has is safe on block, and if you condition them, you can just cancel into Gauntlet of Ages and be plus 3 or so on everything, he had the best wakeup/flawless block attacks in the game with 8 frame U2 and massive aoe U3, he has a combo starter in every variation (bed of spikes is one of the highest damaging special moves and launchers in the game btw), and has one of the best command grabs in the entire game. And to top it off, he had some of the fastest movement and dashing in the game, and he has a 6 frame D1, which almost no one has in MK11. So I guess he didn’t have any good projectiles, but if he timed it right or if you got caught standing, he would quicksand right up next to you (which it was much faster on startup and whiff back then), being projectile immune on the way down, and basically do the same damage as a throw and be right next to you, or if you pressed a button he took like 34% of your health cause of counter hit KB. So yeah launch Geras id say is one of the most solid and perfect characters NRS has ever made. Not completely broken like past characters, but in the respective game and even when compared to some of the past games, I think he still holds up
F212 was actually a meterless launcher in the mid screen prepatch. You forgot to mention that Geras had the highest damage in the game, yes he had higher damage than Baraka and Noob. He had a practical 60% combo with his KBs and he had multiple 80% combos. Look them up if you don't believe me. His stand trap basically controlled the neutral and still does, so you didn't want to be anywhere but right in his face. His up 2 was actually 6 frames, not 8. In other words, it was impossible to flawless block his wakeup on reaction or react to it at all. This is important because you can meaty certain up 2s to stop them but that was not the case with Geras. It was and it the best in the game because it was a class A launcher that he can get 40 percent just from, when most people scaled damage that is less than 30. It has the most range and speed which also meant you can punish things that no one else can.

I never played or watched Injustice 2 so @ 0:20 I had no idea wtf I was looking at

In my opinion I think scorpion is the perfect character in nether realm history from MK XL
I think launch Geras was one of the most perfect characters NRS has ever made. Had great fast and advancing mids, had the most damaging and easiest to get KB’s (if I remember correctly, had 3 different counter hit krushing blows, all of which did 30% or more) the entire game, had one of the best fatal blows in the game, you couldn’t zone him because of Quick Sand, he had the best jump in with body splash, he had and continues to have the best throws in the game, and he had probably the easiest, highest damaging combos in the game with Gauntlet of the Ages (especially with the Deoxys strat) and a safe all mid meterless launcher off F212 in the corner, he had mixups off his 241, F23, and 111 strings, which 111 lead into a 34% (I think) KB if you didn’t block high, and almost every string and button he has is safe on block, and if you condition them, you can just cancel into Gauntlet of Ages and be plus 3 or so on everything, he had the best wakeup/flawless block attacks in the game with 8 frame U2 and massive aoe U3, he has a combo starter in every variation (bed of spikes is one of the highest damaging special moves and launchers in the game btw), and has one of the best command grabs in the entire game. And to top it off, he had some of the fastest movement and dashing in the game, and he has a 6 frame D1, which almost no one has in MK11. So I guess he didn’t have any good projectiles, but if he timed it right or if you got caught standing, he would quicksand right up next to you (which it was much faster on startup and whiff back then), being projectile immune on the way down, and basically do the same damage as a throw and be right next to you, or if you pressed a button he took like 34% of your health cause of counter hit KB. So yeah launch Geras id say is one of the most solid and perfect characters NRS has ever made. Not completely broken like past characters, but in the respective game and even when compared to some of the past games, I think he still holds up
F212 was actually a meterless launcher in the mid screen prepatch. You forgot to mention that Geras had the highest damage in the game, yes he had higher damage than Baraka and Noob. He had a practical 60% combo with his KBs and he had multiple 80% combos. Look them up if you don't believe me. His stand trap basically controlled the neutral and still does, so you didn't want to be anywhere but right in his face. His up 2 was actually 6 frames, not 8. In other words, it was impossible to flawless block his wakeup on reaction or react to it at all. This is important because you can meaty certain up 2s to stop them but that was not the case with Geras. It was and it the best in the game because it was a class A launcher that he can get 40 percent just from, when most people scaled damage that is less than 30. It has the most range and speed which also meant you can punish things that no one else can.

It was so good to play as Aquaman in both injustice games...Easily the best character.
Aquaman has always been my favorite hero so I’m glad he’s op lol
God remember when from the deep was just DUMB op and dragon was MOPPING the field. The lan winners would've been ALOT different without that patch.
It’s not Tekken 5 that was Bob spam, it was Tekken 6. T5 has some pretty varied character choices.
