If you like anything you see, please check out the links below. Also, if you comment that you would like additional information about a particular item, I'll look into making a video about the subject. Nice Home Theater but in the future, please don’t play loud annoying music it’s very distracting.
Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate it and I’ll try to adjust moving forward.
This is an awesome setup! I love it!
Glad you like it!
Nice theater setup
Thank you! I want to do a more depth video soon. Like and subscribe so you don’t miss it.
Looks great 👍 👌
Thank you 👍
You should get yourself some voice automated 'switchbot' curtain closers. They work on any Pole, I actually have the same grommet curtains as yourself. Only need charging twice a year (via USB)
Thanks for the feedback. The curtains are on a hospital style track so it’s not a rod. I would have to see if anything would actually fit the track and ball design.
great setup
Thank you! We love this setup!
Looks good. Definitely need some side surrounds though
Thanks for the feedback. I agree that side surrounds would improve the theater.
Nice job on the theater! As for Smart Home, are you using Home Assistant? I'm just getting started in Home Assistant and there is a lot I need to learn!
Home assistant was ordered recently but not received yet as I wanted a low power solution. We currently use SmartThings, Google Home, Apple HomeKit/Siri, Alexa, Lutron Bridge, Aqara, and a few other one offs.
@@JoshsSmartHome By ordered, you mean you have a Raspsberry Pi or NUC on the way to set up Home Assistant? I went with a BeeLink mini PC, $169 on Amazon. Apparently this is overkill, my brother tells me has a friend controlling 70 devices on a Raspsberry Pi with no issues.
My first objective is just to control the lights etc in my home theater but ultimately I would like to add the AC, the sprinkler, all the lights, garage doors, etc etc etc... One guy set his up to monitor his weather station and if it hadn't rained in some number of days to turn the sprinkler on. Lots of cool stuff can be done using, "if this happens, then do that" statements to make it automate things.
@@mfkhometheater7742 I have the Home Assistant Green on order which is due next month.
@@JoshsSmartHome I hadn't seen that one, if I had, I might have gone that route to avoid having to figure out how to get home assistant installed. That part turned out to be really easy however. Setting up Local Tuya, that doesn't always work out well, or at least I haven't had much luck with it.
I bought it from the retailer linked via the home assistant website.
what kind of seating
Seatcraft Monterey Black Leather Power which we bought through 4seating.com
Sweet setup. I do have a question, what seats are you using? Thanks again.
Thank you. The seats are Seatcraft Monterey. Maybe I will make a future video to show all their features. Make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss it.
@@JoshsSmartHome thank you, I will subscribe. The Monterey and the Diamante are on my short list of chairs to get for my theater. How do you like the Monterey and what made you decide to go with them? Thanks again for your help.
@@percybedford6266the power headrests put it over the top with the wow factor. We found them to be the best mix of Luxury and price. Having the genuine leather is a must in my opinion.
@@joshwallet yeah and the Monterey has to 2.2 memory foam where as the Diamante has the 1.8, but the Diamante comes with Soundshakers as well. I still have some time to decide.
I consider the integrated sound shakers but opted to go with these instead. I think you will be thrilled with either
Am confused no surround speakers
There are surround speakers in the rear and upward firing armos on the front floor speakers. We probably should have went with in ceiling speakers as well, but there is a bedroom and office above that we didn’t want to pollute with sound.
Let me know what you would like me to make a video about
How do you deal with that jut out in the right side wall
This is an area that bumps in on the foundation to match a setback on the main floor between 2 gables. We worked around it by ensuring it doesn’t block any viewing area by putting the A/V equipment in the corner and a walking path to the side of it.
@@JoshsSmartHome Does affect the sound from the side surrounds from reaching any row of seats?
From my experience it only has a slight impact as the chairs are fairly wide which keeps ears away from the wall. We’ve ensured there is a straight line of site from the front speakers to every head. The rear speakers have line of site except the right to the right front but they aren’t close enough to have much of an impact for that seat.
Сделать такой кино зал себе, хорошие кино зал!! И повесит в него такой ужасный проектор??? зачем спрашивается???? и это ещё в Америке! Ладно было бы это дело в России понял бы, а тут... не понять!
We enjoy it. Thank you for the feedback.
