Great video showcasing what Sonderwerks can do. I found them through one of your earlier videos and while I’ve only used them for one thing so far in my 991, I really like the quality and price and I will continue to be a customer!

Looking forward to this one, as I've considered replacing the stock seats in my 993 with Recaros.

I’ve got carbon buckets in my GT4RS as default with the Weissach package. Yesterday I was at the dealer asking for the possibility to retrofit 18-way seats to the car because on longer journeys more than 3-4 hours I tend get pains from the left hip all the way down to the leg. Just got home from a 1500km round trip to my dealer today, and the first day going down (2 days ago), I had to take pain killers to be able to reach my destination which was 9 hours from start to finish. Going home my body was more accustomed to the abuse and the pain was just slight and no need for tablets. Mostly the GT4RS is just used sparingly on shorter bursts and on track and in those use cases the carbon buckets are just perfect. Maybe tilting them would help on my seating comfort, but it feels like there’s a nerve being pinched in my hip, I’m really no big person either. Just medium sized.
Contemplating on trading the GT4RS for a 2018 GT3 Touring with sofas.

@bomboyagegaming those are good. I had them in my GT4.

@@bomboyagegaming yes I talked to the dealer about those, but firstly I think it’s the angle in my hip that’s the problem, secondly those are ~6000USD to have fitted at the dealer, and that’s a lot not knowing if they’re gonna fix my issue. I did 5 hours in them today, and it was not as painful as the trip I did two days ago. I did some walking and stretching prior to today’s journey. I believe it’s mostly a matter of being in shape. You got to be fit to enjoy driving a modern RS😅

@@Rennthusiast also maybe the bracket to incline them will help on comfort?

@@Nord_Mann yes the designs by Jacob spacers are essential, at least for me. Have them on my Spyder.

What blue is that directly behind the seats? It looks dark to be petrol blue but has that flavor to it.

Why don’t you find a factory RS 993 or Turbo seats? It would be a period correct and a tasteful slight modification.

What about heated option? Retrofit available for 993?

LOL - I thought you bought this car because you wanted to be fully stock and removed the non-stock trim. You have great taste, so I know the new seats will look great, and Sonderworks did such great work for you in the past.

I've run the car in "stock-ish" condition for over a year, which is a lifetime for me to stick with anything haha. That said, I believe you have been watching for awhile, so you know that I change my mind often.
      Couple of points I'll make.
Recaro CS's are brilliant seats for a couple of reasons. They're lighter and they're also really nicely form fitting without being too confining. They're also a reversible mod. By going with cashmere upholstery on the seats I'm keeping with the overall scheme of the car while bringing in a seating element that I have experience with and that I know I'll enjoy....without tearing apart the stock seats.
I don't think I mentioned it in this video, but I am also installing a Fister SSK with the round knob and rubber boot. This is definitely a more impactful cosmetic change that I am making for the reason of function over form. I do think the shift knob looks cool, don't get me wrong...but it also is ergonomically superb.
All of this will be on the channel but I thought I would drop you a comment as you are usually interested in whats going on with the cars.
