    Quite honestly the best review and honest opinion video I have seen on the 570S. I bought mine with 24,000 miles and had several maintenance issues with it on arrival, including replacement of the battery. But I think it’s solid now. It feels faster then my Gallardo Superleggera

    • @TABonTV
      @TABonTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Much appreciated and glad you're enjoying the car! Fun aren't they!? As you say sounds like just required maintenance on yours and the battery is quite a common (but pricey) one. I'm sure it will be solid!

    Seems like it might make sense to get the warranty for the first year and drive the crap out of it to uncover any weaknesses or catastrophic issues. After that, if you're handy with wrenches and/or can stay away from the dealer you can handle a lot of the maintenance and minor issues yourself.

    • @TABonTV
      @TABonTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I think that approach is OK. I really do think once they've proved themselves they're good. Just the usual maintenance and care!

    you can get a warrantee from Thorney Motorsport too for £2850. I went the safer (in my mind) LP560-4 Spyder route and it's been rock solid for the last 4 years but have no doubt the 570s would leave my car for dead.

    Awesome review and gorgeous car, I really appreciate your views, although i would have liked to know how much you pay in insurance, and if there are any conditions laid down by your insurance company, also servicing as well as what a full Thorney warranty might cost? many thanks again.

    • @TABonTV
      @TABonTV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the kind words. I was paying about £800 a year at the time for insurance, no conditions other than no track use. There is another video covering full costs somewhere on the channel. As for Thorney warranty, best to speak to them as it's been a while!

    Into my 5th year of spider and it’s still perfect.. no major issues at all. Just keep them on trickle charge, drive considerately until warm and let turbos spool down and cool for a few minutes before switching off if you have been thrashing it. Simples.

    The reason why they break down is because there not daily driven.
    A Head McLaren mechanics understand they should be driven daily to keep all engine components warm
    Usually they have more problems when you let them sit for a month without driving it than go ape shit on them the first 15 minutes after awaking the beast. Most ppl believe since you have let it warm up properly nd drove it that first day that the car is ready to be pushed to the limit. That’s not the case
    It’s not smart to even push it to the limits after you warm the car up after a days worth of driving. So instead ppl will leave it in the garage for a week or two take it out and rev it to the limit thus putting more strain on the car’s components
    Theres McLarens out there that have well over 70k miles and still running amazing because they are daily driven
    These cars are ment to be driven daily not sit in a garage
    And there’s actually an interview that’s about 1 hour long with a McLaren mechanic I believe in England that says that’s the reason they break down so fast improperly warming it up when first day it’s awaken after a week of just sitting you should just be cruising in it

    he needs to stop smacking his lips, & often maybe a teeth issue? don't know. I'm considering buying a mclaren next up & his suggestions all ad up, including a few others road tested. was surprised with some corrosion issues wouldn't have thought on a mclaren at just 6-7 years old. could be the salt on roads doing this?, & also suspension issues on another, will look at more tests on you tube.
