Doesn't the porsche do 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds? Well thats what porsche says we all know its faster .
Both the turbo s and r8 have been recorded under 3 seconds

You can get a 650hp 570s, 0-60 in 2.8
Put the Audi's engine in the McLaren and you create the perfect car.
Verdict: 570s wins in all performance aspects, R8 wins all luxury aspects and has one of the best sounding engines in all supercars and hypercars, and 911 is in the middle with a little but of both luxury and performance.

The mclaren doesn’t compare to the r8 or the Porsche, there so far much better engineered than the mclaren. Also the r8’s sound is superb, and the r8 and 911 are much more practical.

The good folks in Britain man. They really giving Ferrari and Porsche a run for their money. That 570S is such as good buy. Can’t go wrong with the 911, though. The R8, while I love mine, for some reason, I am attracted to the 1st Gen R8 more. It just a better looking car out the box to me. Maybe I’m weird I guess.

I don’t know why people act surprised when McLaren win group tests. Since the 675LT, the company has been on fire! The carbon tub and chassis are unrivalled, everything else comes as a bonus.... read ya magazines folks!

Love the McLaren performance but personally for me and looking at the overall total picture of everything offered from interior to performance I would take the Audi V10, that sound is unique too!
911 Turbo /Turbo S.... Best daily road going supercar since 1996.
Another great video Ollie. I'd take the 911, partly as it's the least likely to break down.

The Audi R8, is still my favorite of modern exotic cars. The V10 sound and experience is amazing. I don't race and/or plan to race, so that's why I would prefer it. Of course those other two cars would be the better choices if you're planing to seriously drive your modern exotic car hard.

I’d say it depends what kind of car you would like to have....
I can’t really picture myself crouching out of a carbon tub everyday- have no significant space for luggage (...) etc.
The MacLaren in my eyes is rather a second or rather third car for the weekend. The 911 turbo I see rather as everyday super car - while the Audi is definitely “daddies fun car while mummy is driving a more reasonable and practical SUV...

@@seth6526 He could've used the 991.2 turbo s which would have been as fast if not faster than the 570s in a straight line not to mention how more desirable the Porsche is... And that Audi is simply the best super car in the bunch due to its engine.
@@chicken4967 Porsche being "more desirable" and R8 being "the best of the bunch" are opinions which you have but he clearly doesn't have and this video is old so that Porsche was probably the most up-to-date at the time.
Virtuosiity The Porsche is not more desirable to me.. Don’t get me wrong, a beautifully engineered car but it should be because they’ve been working on basically the same design for the last 50 years. Most people could not tell which was the new 911 if you parked a 2019 next to an immaculate 1997.

This test is actually about 2-3 years old. The 991.2 Turbo didn't exist at that time.

Good review, but an old one... 991.1 turbo, ‘upcoming 540c’, 659s has been replaced, ultimate series is not the p1 but the Senna and speedtail. Still a comprehensive review👍

Why has this just been posted? It uses an ‘old’ 991.1 and it’s not the S either. He says the 540 is ‘due out’ when in Dec 2018 (now) it’s been out for ages. Come on Top Gear. This is just re-warmed old news.

As a subi owner I have to go with the flat engine 911.
We all know the 911 turbo is the fastest but I’d honestly still probably go with the McLaren
Not sure the facts are correct in a straight line drag the porsche turbo would destroy the other two not to mention the four wheel drive porsche would also be more than be a match for the others.
Porsche tends to underestimate its performance figures.
All great cars yet my favorite of the three is the mclaren. That would be my choice ..ymmv. Great video

Hmmm let's see, an English reviewer - reviewing an English car vs the competition; which car will be the winner...anyone care to guess? Has anyone notice that McLaren usually wins all these British based comparisons test? It has gotten downright ridiculous. Then when similar test move across the pond, results are the opposite. Either there is super bias testing, or McLaren are supplying British reviewers with juiced up press cars.

McLaren all the way! Audi and Porsche are nice but the design is so much better on the McLaren imo. You often see Porsche or sometimes Audio R8 on the Road but when do you ever see a McLaren, it's just a different league
Filmed on the road to the highest point of Portugal: Torre, Serra da Estrela (2.000 meters/6.561 ft). Probably in the summer :-)

I tested these cars in Germany and the Porsche is definitely the fastest. This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about

No reason the 570s should cost more than the R8 performance
mate its the only one which is an actual supercar - doors go up, experience to drive, f1 tech. the audi is forever an audi 0 pedigree
