    I’ve had a used 570s spider for 1 month now. Absolutely love it. The satellite radio I don’t think will ever work, don’t care. Other than that, haven’t had an issue. It’s truly daily usable, I just picked up some items from Home Depot today actually. People love it, and I love being an ambassador for the brand. A car company that is a F1 team, and it shows. Also, it’s stupid fast. It might be nearly as quick as my Ducati V4, which is insane for a car

      Glad you're enjoying it - the new Artura is looking very appealing and deliveries starting to drop! As you say - they do get a lot of love. Being a Ducati owner myself, I'd have to agree with you there - these cars put the power down so well!

    Good vid mate, a decent insight into what it takes to own one. £1200 a month isn’t cheap no doubt about it… but I’d be happier spending 1k for a 570s ‘supercar’ vs 1k for a family sedan.
    Congrats on passing 100 subs mark too! 🥳

      Cheers Mr H! Yeah - it's not an amount that will sit OK with everyone, but I still think it's exceptional value. Every time you see that car in the flesh it's fantastic - and it has the GO to match!

    I'd love the idea of a McLaren, but they do have serious quality issues for a car of that price. I can't believe the number of things people tell you to look for before buying - leaking shocks, regularly cracking screens, even rust! And I was shocked to learn that they don't use forged internals in the engine - you get those in a humble AMG. TH-camr Tavarish's 675LT just pooped its insides out through the sump! When you get a good one they seem awesome though - fingers crossed for you.

    • @TABonTV
      @TABonTV  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He had tuned his though, beyond what it's really designed for... Asking for trouble. They do have their quirks though for sure. As you say, as long as you get a good one you should have a lot of fun!

    • @FazerWiz
      @FazerWiz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TABonTV @TABonTV Yes I saw he'd boosted it - in fairness though, they boost that V8 AMG (C63S) engine we both love to 1000 bhp+ without changing the internals as they're forged, so I was surprised to learn that the McLaren's aren't. I looked very closely at the 570 Spider, fabulous drive just let down by all the things you mention in your video and the worry of quality issues for the future. I ended up with a DB11 Volante with that wonderful AMG lump in it, also a great S/H buy due to heavy depreciation in the 1st 2 years. Enjoying your channel - thanks.

    Thank you for making this video. As a former 12C owner, but also several 911 and 12v Vantage, I agree with your reasoning. McLaren stands out for being special on several topics, looks, interior and for sure very special to drive… and speed. These cars are engineered for speed, powerful but efficient engine and low weight thanks to the very strong carbon tub you sit in. Compare it to any 911 or other sports car in the same price class and the McL wins hands down. The spider version beats the Ferrari spiders or Porsche cabrio’s on weight easily while retaining all the chassis rigidity… that is why I am going back to this brand.
    However who else knows this brand for its sports and super cars? Everyone here yes but there are soo many more potential buyers dreaming or shopping for a Porsche or Ferrari or Lambo, new or secondhand… that is why McLarens have a bit of a challenge on their resell value… not enough demand.
    As for the so called technical quirks, usually overrated or misunderstood… also 911 or Ferraris have quirks so find a good experienced dealer.
    And McLaren, please release the tech to independent dealers… but I bet the new owner (VW or BMW) could quickly solve that.

    • @TABonTV
      @TABonTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you enjoyed it. The 12C was definitely a very exciting car, there's a volcano orange one for sale in my local dealer for £89K - good money for a car with that capability.
      I think every supercar has it's quirks in one way or another, a lot of them simply aren't made to the automated scale that the smaller mass produced cars. But for sure, McLaren for me are still the most fun. I still get the feeling something's up at McLaren right now and we'll get an announcement soon... Who knows? Thanks for watching!

    Great video and very insightful! I have had several cars …. C6 Z06, R8 V10, and most recently gallardo superleggera, which I have since sold. All these cars have been fun and exciting in their own way but I felt it was time to give the 5.2 Liter V10 a break. I am ready to hop into the 570S, and I too have heard some negative things about McLaren. However, everything I am reading and hearing is pointing to a great company and very well built vehicle. I think maybe initially the early models had software issues but have since been addressed. Of course though, human nature dictates that we will post and complain when things go wrong, and very rarely when things are great LOL

      @@esthetics4512 Somewhat agree with you. I pulled the trigger on a 570S and dumped about $1000 for some minor repairs. So far so good. You do have a valid point in criticizing the reliability of these cars such as the 570/720S. I do believe there are some QC issues in main head quarters in UK with these hand built vehicles. Do a PPI and use that to your advantage in agreeing on final purchase price. I found the right mechanic to get the car to where is should be and i’m
      happy with it. But anyone can argue that these cars, at this price point, shouldn’t be breaking down.
