In Coop's video about the Helios, he says that you have to let go of the priming bar after priming because it's engineered to go forward by itself, which is probably why you got the jams.

I always pull and push the priming bolt, shot mine about 100 times yesterday and had 1 jam.
@@mykr0324Just remember when you manually push forward do it all the way without skipping otherwise it jams!

I have primed mine and pushed halfway to try to jam it, but I’ve tried it at least 50 times and mine hasn’t jammed yet.
I did this upgrade today and am so totally happy with it! Helios is a much overlooked blaster. It performs well stock but, with the K26 upgrade it is excellent! It's more accurate now and packs almost as much punch as my two upgraded Kronos. I cut the spring to the same size as the stock one to be safe. The K26 springs from Luke are really beefy. It was so easy to do this upgrade. The extra power seems to make the jam door want to open and I really gotta make sure and prime it properly. But, It went from an ok blaster to one that is super fun to shoot
If u didn't know the hellos jams because u have to let go of the bolt at the back or SLAM it home. The helios is like an actual firearm in that sense
So its noechanical error its just very very weak to human error is what theyre saying
Just upgraded my rampage, doubled the spring and catchspring, and now it is just mean, hard hitting machine. it is kinda scary but i am glad that i will be welding it.

Hey cap thought you might want to know that lord draconical put a 12kg nerf turf spring in the mediator I think the spring is smaller in diameter

i love how you always start opening up a blaster by grabbing a screwdriver, and after half a second grab the electric one
with the shape of the mediator around the priming grip is perfect for left handed shooters as they could have the vertical grip removed and have a grip that hugs the area where the vertical grip is, the fact that there's a rail on the right side of the blaster make it perfect for left handed shooters as their fingers would not come into contact with the rail! cool series! =D
Hello sir, what's your testing procedure for the longevity of the blaster. Yes the Helios can take a K26, but can it take it after 100 rounds? Just curious, if the gears will break.

As someone who works with a large number of Helos, the failure point is the yoke on the barrel. It slips off when forced.

What if you attach a jolt or triad to the pump handle of the mediator for an extra shot
You could make a spin off with tek spring which are amazing probably one of the best spring you can get by scrapping. it fit the hammershot and some magfed blaster and give them a really good punch.

It would be cool to see a top fed magazine blaster, and have a rail on each side that is at a 45° angle so you could put a sight on it and make a BREN!
And by 45° angle I mean that the rail isn’t on the top or on the side of the blaster but on the top corners)
The Mediator has one of the most large-hand friendly blaster grips i've come across.
I put a horizontal pump on the mediator and now it’s my new stock primary. I DESPISE the vertical mediator grip but with a horizontal foregrip it’s perfect ergowise.
How would a 45° grip look on this blaster? It would be coming out where the mag well is.
The Mediator is my favorite blaster of all time
You should do a pump grip mod tutorial,I recently got one and prefer the angled pump grip
Have you tried the Nerf Dog Tennis Ball Blaster?
Its like i said in the r/nerf group nerf HIR are made from a Hygroscopic foam material. They also seem to break down in water. After i ran testing and found that HIRs are indeed hygroscopic i decided to run further testing. I stored 5 HIRs in a dry box like i do with my filament, and 5 in a standard container, and five out in the open. the second and third groups grew about 0.7-1.1 mm in diameter compared to the 5 in the dry box. Upon placing groups 2 and 3 in the dry box they shrunk back down, however group 3 did not fully return to stock diameter.
Would be cool to see a folding vertical pump handle on the mediator to make it sort of like the serbu shorty 12GA shotguns.

Hmm, for a new pumpgrip maybe the guardian crossbow or the roughcut one might fit. Mediator isn't available here yet so I can't try it out, but maybe you've got one of them lying around doing nothing more interesting?
i managed to install a 10 kg retaliator spring and upgraded the catch spring and it was shooting a lot more powerfully
When firing a k26ed helios, the primary problem i have faced is the jam door blasting open from the kick
My suggestion for helios is if you re right handed put the handle on the right so it forces you to let go of the handle so you dont accidentally hit the mag release

I really like the helios, probably my favourite jolt reskin, but I have one major gripe with it: it's oddly loud.
and I don't mean like normal powerful springer loudness, but like, it sounds super hollow and it rings/vibrates even when you _aren't_ dryfiring. idunno maybe I'm crazy.
How many coils should I use for the Helios on a K26 from out of darts? sorry NOOb here :(
Yo captain I’ve modified several blasters but this Helios is about to get trashed. Help please. Lol
5th time I’ve i reassembled it and I know for sure every single part is in the right place and working order. Like to a T perfect. But every time I get it back together again the very first time I try to prime it the priming bolt gets jammed and stuck only 3/4 of the way back and then jams so hard it won’t go the last 1/4 of the way back and also will not budge to slide it back forward to load the bullet and get ready to fire. Unbelievably annoying and frustrating when I put this damn hung together slowly and for sure the right way. Any tips would help. And thank you motor tips on the khaos bc they are definitely powerful enough to handle lipo and not need motor upgrades. Drops a 45 round clip in 3.17 seconds.

there is a very potent mod for the strikefire(dart tag), you can penny mod it like a maverick, but with only two pennies. remove the ar and you have a great backup weapon
opinion: any preference ?? 13kg or 15kg spring in the Helios ?? is there any significant variation in the performance between the 2 springs ?? happy new year 🎉🎉🎉
Have you tryed k26 in an expanded plunger tube for the retaliator/prophacy?? And do you think it would be stronger than the big 25turn spring worker does??

Hey captain, Lover your vids. 1 question, For the pump action rivals such as apollo/helios/kronos. Does adding a k26 make accuracy worse due to increase spin on the rival ammo or are they about as accurate as the stock versions??
It ruins the accuracy after about 50ft. That is the trade off. Much faster and thus harder to dodge at mid range but no accuracy at all at long range.
Maybe a Retaliator priming thing could be modified for the mediator?
Greetings Captain Xavier, do you think that someone could make a barrel attachment mod for the Helois? Cause if someone does, I think it would be cool, but if you design one, you could call it the Helois X barrel, or maybe you could turn it into a shotgun look, these are just suggestions/ideas, feel free to use them

Could you use the end of a Specter stock on the Helios? I think that might work. A Modulor Specter stock that can attach via a track rail. If there is anyone that can make it happen, you're the man for the job, Captain.

just browsed through all 10 season play lists plus the more recent epidsodes. in one episode, you said you would examine a Lawbringer if you ever had the opportunity. perhaps i simply missed it, but it did not see a video where that question was answered, and i am curious. perhaps in the next season?

the reason you were jamming was probably that the Helios has a real steel like spring back priming mec so if you rid the priming bar or dont let it go all the way you can get two balls in the chamber and jam the blaster so i would just let go of the priming bar when priming

The jams in the Helios are just pure human error. Let the priming handle go once pulled back for no jams, especially with the new spring in, or if you want to hold onto the handle the whole way, just go very fast.

I am terribly sorry for taking up your time, but I have a few ideas for absolvers. The first one I know Beret will enjoy-the Nerf nitro car. Also, I thought that possibly you could create an attachment with tubing with another attachment on the other end to allow you to shoot around corners and such. I know these two ideas are ridiculous, but I also know that ridiculous might as well be your middle name.

The Nitro car is problematic because they are so irregular it would almost impossible to get a seal. But the corner shot idea...that I like...

He’s put k26’s in 184 blasters so far.
OutOfDarts recommended putting some kind of grip tape on the butt plate of the helios. His biggest complaint was that the smooth, almost non-existent texture there was making it hard to prime because it kept trying to slide off of his shoulder.
a bead of hot glue on the mag release will allow a one handed release using the heel of the trigger hand.
I mean let's do a Walcom and have mags come out all sides because why not

Have you ever modified a hydro cannon? I think it could easily replace your bazooka with it having a larger air tank and much larger pump.

The Mediator will take a Buzz Bee Boss or Zenith spring if you have a spare.

How should I know? I don't know anything about you. I can tell you that I ran a Barricade as my side arm until the Stryfe came out and it worked well for me.
