Hi Capt Xavier, while I was glad to see the Razorbeast in a k26 video, I have a minor thing to add, a personal experience. I bought a Razorbeast brand new back in 94 at the age of 11, from good ol Toysrus. I saved up for months to purchase it, I believe it was 29.99, plus I bought a pack of belts and darts, bumping it from 15, to 30 dart capacity, since the belts just clip together. Man alive was this thing fun, but after a few months I noticed the power downgraded fast. Eventually the Razorbeast got to where it would only fire a few feet, probably after a year of owning it. At the time I also had a Sharpshooter 2 that I didn't care for, young me decided to mod. Well, I somehow managed to get both the original razorbeast spring and sharpshooter 2 spring in it. It fired very similar to how it did with k26 in your video. It was insane, but young me had a hard time cranking it. After a few weeks from modding it, I was cranking away blasting darts all over the house,... then a POP.. I was worried immediately upon hearing the noise. What have I done to my Beastly Nerf blaster? After opening it up, I discovered the carnage. The blaster could still fire, but on the front of the plunger tube a tiny piece of plastic that indexes the rotation had sheared right off. My Beast was dead. I was a young teen that couldn't fix it, I had spent so much time saving for it only to have it break a year later. Anyways just thought I'd share, k26 might break it as mine did with doubled up springs.
P.s. I'm 35 and I love watching your videos, I've learned so much about modding, the hobby and history of blasters from both you and Walcom. Peace!

@CaptainXavier, i managed to find a Lazerfang at Goodwill with both wings still attached. They do not fold out or anything. They're just aesthetic pieces

I had a Razorbeast back in '97. When my band and the roadies engaged in battle, I put the stock against the front of my hip, held the handle with my left hand, and turned the crank with my right. Wish I'd kept up with all my Max Force stuff, in hindsight...

I brassed both a Lazer Fang and an Eagle Eye...they both hit hard.
The laser fang wings don't move, they are fixed in place and just snap on to the side of the blaster.
I really like the look of the LaserFang, makes me think of a Tyranid Ripper. I need to find one of those.
2 new plunger types: Direct Reverse Plunger, and Indirect Plunger.
That old "razor beast" looks to have some real potential! If you replaced that hand-crank with a beefy enough electric motor, it might be pretty fun!
As for the ammo problem, somebody could 3d print new belt segments that use modern darts, and possibly improving the original design to be more flexible.
Actually, hearing the wonderfully meaty sound of those internals paired with the deep drone of an electric motor would both make my day, and send me running in the opposite direction rawt with mirth and terror.
You could put a brushed motor in place of the crank on the razorbeast and rebarrel to make it the first indirectly direct plungered fully automatic elite firing blaster!!!

The Razorbeast needs a Zombie Strike repaint and compatibility with Ripchain belts (since I don't see Vulcan belts returning). Some kind of successor would be a great fit for the line.

Just thrifted a laser fang and a rattler today $5 for both of them of course the laser fang doesn't have its wings but The light bulb still works and the rattler looks brand new just light peeling on the stickers
Captain X i think the Laser Fang was the first blaster to ever have a barrel primed backwards direct plunger system i could be wrong you're gonna have to check to see
The lazerfang Is exactly reverse plunger, just that the barrel/piston moves instead of the cylinder.
Why does nobody build things ambidextrously? Even scissors aren't.
Razorbeast innards are really interesting, and actually quite well designed, if eccentric. The sear surface is on the crank, and the direct plunger having a seperated spring is odd. I suspect that the shell cracking will be the fail point.

You should get an absurdly long belt for the razor beast and mount it
Suggestion: Make a CiTaK26 video where you put said spring with the aide of 3D printed plungers or pieces that would otherwise not hold.
I think that X-shot stole this priming system for the Micro blaster.

I am wondering if you can fix my maverick and Xshot miroshot. My friend didn’t have them so I gave it to him and he tried to mod it but I’m not sure what he meant to do. I tried opening the maverick up but the screws are very messed up. On the micro shot it doesn’t catch. I believe he took out some parts out of the blasters.

No. The plunger tube is not the issue. The catch is. There are springs just as powerful that do fit...just get one of those.
Oh ok this would probably be over doing it but couldn't you use a metal catch like the orange mod works one and the brace plate if you were afraid of the plastic breaking

I have a question for you, however. Would it be possible to decrease the volume of the music about 25%, or increase the voice volume by 25% to normalise the two, please? As of the last couple of videos I've had to turn up the videos to listen to what you're saying, and then the music has been much louder. Maybe I'm just getting old. I can deal with it if you don't feel like doing it later or just forget to do it, so no stress either way, I just thought I'd ask.

@@CaptainXavier ,lol but I'm thinking of buying one and now that he has one for Rival and Mega as well as standard elite I'm now needing a comparison to see which one I can get.
The Mega and Rival have been out for a while. With what he just released, you can buy one and switch out the parts for the others by just purchasing new fronts. So, go with standard Elite for starters, then get the others in the future.

The Elite version will give you the best performance and functionality overall. The Mega and the Rival have their uses, but their performance at distance won't be up to what you get from the Elite. Only get those if you are dead set on using them over normal darts, they will be more expensive to feed too. Anyway, Rival performance at high speeds and distances is poop anyway. And at some point in the future, you can save up and buy a new front, which will be cheaper than a whole new blaster, to run Mega or Rival with the blaster you already have. But that's just my two cents.
