    Good video, short and informative but need more little but further explanation to access from HMI like PV 800

    Hi, thank you very much for your videos, I just bought a kingstone 64 gb microSDXC empty from factory. I want to collect data in the data log but the led does not light up. what can I do?

      @user-ds2yf30f8q: Thank you for your support to my channel. There are a few things you might need to know. The microSD card needs to be FAT32. Most of USB, SD cards and microSD cards above 32GB are not FAT32. However there is a free software (I don't remember it now but I used it once) to format any cards or USBs back to FAT32. Good luck.

    Great Video, better than the Allen Bradley Manual. Just adding a Spectrum 2080-SDMEMRTC-SC unit to my Micro 850. I am going to try the MICRO 800 remote access tool to grab the data log.

      Would recommend using the MICRO 800 REMOTE ACCESS Tool. Worked effortlessly and it exports the data sets as an Excel file.

    Hi Mr. Hoang, Can we do this on a Micro850 as well? I'm unable to spot the "DATA LOG" option in the "Controller Properties" page in CCW, while using a Micro850 PLC

    • @SYPHOANG
      @SYPHOANG  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @anthonybuddini2828: Unfortunately, I don't think that is possible for Micro850. it might be hard to believe it but in fact, it is a limitation on Micro850 compared to Micro820. (1) there is no SD card slot on Micro850 and (2) the Micro850 doesn't have the realtime clock (RTC) so that it is incapable of capturing date and time data. In fact if you want to turn on RTC on Micro850 PLC, you will have to installed a plug-in module for that specific feature. Thank you for subscribing and your support to my channel.

    I can't do a simulator in CCW, if you have done this could you show this to us?

    • @SYPHOANG
      @SYPHOANG  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess you are using the free standard CCW version. You will not be able to simulate actual IO on the controlLer. Simulation is only available on "Developer CCW version" and it is not free. My recommendation is you just need to create a few internal variables that represent those actual controler IO, then you can go online with the controller and toggle those internal bits OR change the value if they are DINT/REAL. Please let me know if this works out for you.

      @amir hamzah sarihan: here you go "Run Mode Change allows program logic changes in run mode to save time during machine development". They are not exactly same. That's why "Developer version" is not free. When I first knew about CCW, I already noticed this and called in Rockwell Tech support and that is what they told me early last year. FYI, I am still using the free standard version. You just need to create a few internal variables to test your logic first before you tie it to actual IO on the controller.

      @Anderson Dachery: I am not sure what you meant for "remote access". For remote access, I think you can only watch/monitor live data from the PLC.

      @@andersondachery385 : You might want to check out the below video. You need to install some FREE special tools from Rockwell website. Please let me know if it helps. I am not sure who recommended you to use a 2080-MEMBACK-RTC for data logging or remote access. It is NOT what you think it is for. Its sole purpose is to backup/restore the existing program from the controller. It has nothing to do with datalogging or remote access to logged data.

    In your example you collect a data point every second, but how much faster can it sample, or is that its limit?

      @mattdellecker: I never tried it but you can actualy try with ms. @2:01 you can type in t#1ms instead. Theoretically, you can go as fast as 1ms. But practically I don't think it will work :) Thank you for subscribing and your support to my channel.
