    Great video! Do you have (Master modbus) tutorial with the plc micro850, im having conflict to send data to turn a coil on the software (Modbus poll). I can do the slave and send register but i'm having conflict. Im using the plug-in module conection with RS485.

      @luiggi_s1195: Micro850 and Micro820 are in the same PLC family, using the same software. The conflict might be from the slave ID. I have 2 videos about Modbus RTU master on Micro820 that you might want to check out.

    I inherited the management of a PLC which operates a pump system that doses product into a mix and it is all controlled remotely using modbus rtu. I’m not looking forward to the work ahead. I’m a programmer and grasp technology well, but this stuff looks like it was created in 1981 and hasn’t been updated since!😂

      @Angelo C: RTU might seem old school technology but once you experience IP conflict you will see we people still stick with RTU on certain application. For example, I have a dryer from one of our vendor, it has Micro820 PLC and Panelview800 HMI. Even though both have ethernet port but decided to use RTU for communication between the PLC and HMI and reserve that ethernet port for end users. So vendors do not have to equip the unit with another ethernet switch for end user connection and end users can set up the IP to the PLC whatever they want without any concerns about the HMI communication. This is a very smart set up and a good instance for the use of RTU.

    Hello. It is possible to communicate via RS-485 without using the 1763-NC01 SER.A cablE?

      @Ronald Tomas Mucha Aquino: I never tried it but I think it might be possible you can build your own cable with the round 8 pin connector to plug into the PLC port.

    Hi sir, how to get input and output status in coil status of modscan from the micro 850 to modscan by modbus rtu rs485 ?
    I am using 2080 serialisol to take the data....

      @Sudharsan T: In Connected Components Workbench, "Add" any variable "BOOL" Data Type to "Modbus Mapping" (Under Controller), it will automatically goes to address 000001 for "01: COIL STATUS" on Modscan. You can also change the address from 000001 to 100001 for "02: INPUT STATUS". However, my recommendation is still to combine all the bits you have into INT variables and send it as "Holding Registers" 400xx. It is more practical and convenient than mapping every single bit. It is even extremely faster when you are sending arrays of INT variables over Modbus as I showed on this video. You can see I have only 2 lines on my Modbus mapping table but I actually map ton of data in all different data types BOOL, INT, REAL to Modbus. Hopefully you get the idea.

      @@SYPHOANG thank u sir... its working for me in serial sol. Thanks for your support. But my client asking data in coil status only.

    hi sir how can i control of vfd from scada ,if i have schneider drive and micro 850 plc pleased do help me sir

    • @SYPHOANG
      @SYPHOANG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @raja mahendra: Schneider typically comes with Modbus communication. You can do the VFD control in the Micro850 PLC then use the Modbus communication to send control signal to Schneider drive. Micro850 has all Modbus RTU RS-485/232 and TCP. In your case, the Micro850 PLC should be programmed as the master/client. The Schneider drive should be the slave/server. You have to have the slave ID or the server IP address of the Schneider drive in order for the Micro850 PLC send the control signals to.
      Below is the demo of Micro850 as Modbus TCP client controlling an IDEC server.

      Hope this helps.

    Hi sir great video but where can I get the Modbus datasheet like yours?

    • @SYPHOANG
      @SYPHOANG  ปีที่แล้ว

      @dzahien Dzaki: Vendor should be able to provide it to you. Ask them for "Modbus Data Mapping" and "communication configuration". Thank you for subscribing and your support to my channel.
