Singing like a French vocoder might be my true calling.
Do you speak French?
Mark Fee She does.
I think so! This is so good....such a cool vibe.
ok in fact you speak french fluently don't you? :D
you guys can do whatever y'all want with that talent
Listen to it with 1.25 speed. It's pure disco heaven.
So frekin cool!!!!
0.75x speed for when you've gone to the disco, had too much to drink and end up staggering to the bathroom to be sick
Daaaamm ty, bro
tried that. cool
thank you
Please make an entire cover album of Daft Punk songs because YESSSSSSSS.
YESSSSSSSSS
A Thousand times yes!
This please!
Pleaseeeeeeeee
If this happens I give you 1 million usd
The music is eargasm and they all exemplify the beauty of music. The drummer is joking, the piano player is excited, the bass player in awe, the guitarist in the zone, and the singer completely entranced. This is awesome guys.
How beautifully and very aptly you have described each and everyone here! I also felt the same - to me it is magical.
Ya that good
Infuckingdeed!
Eargasm. Tell me you didnt have a dad without saying it.
This song is brilliantly mixed. Kudos to the producer. There are so many lackluster mixes of good songs. This mix is fantastic.
18 hours later and now I know. ALL of their music is very well produced. I love how they record bass guitar
@@boxofjosh and unfortunately to much compressed :( causing the whole song being too loud.
Enorme trabajo en la voz, quedo genial!
Don't ever let go of that dude on bass. Whole ensemble rocks. Especially the dude on bass.
He's so funky he closed his eyes and stank faced so hard on the power of the funk that he passed absolute zero funk and came out the other side with his eyes bulging out of his head.
Nick Campbell, guy absolutely rips!
Especially since he cant hear anything with those construction hearing protections
609blondebomb a baby wipe would sort it!
Nick makes the song. Funky as hell. His inflections are just gold
2 Years later.... All I want..... is more Daft Punk covers with Nick on bass. And yes, I do realize the world is a much better place with the limited number you've already done. MUCH LOVE!
I need you guys to know that this is single-handedly the most well mixed song I have ever heard in my life. When I try to convince people that more expensive headphones will change their life, this is the song used for comparison. New speakers that need to be set up in the studio? This is how we EQ. It's just stupid perfect. Well done. -Guy who has listened to this probably >2k times
Idk what half ur comment means I’m just listening on my iPhone speakers😭
Using my SeeAudio Yume for this. Whenever I get new headphones, this goes straight into it
As a dude that went broke one time just to get some decent speakers, I agree with this.
Beyer Dynamic DT 1770 PRO + This recording = pure eargasm
I bought some AT-M40X and I’m expecting them to arrive in a couple days, I’ll use this track as test drive for the headphones.
If "something about us" was on ram instead of discovery, it will sound like this
Yes!! I was about to write that.. :DD
Ooowwww Yes
Pretty much
So this is "doing what you love" looks like. I could only imagine
So true most of us is not that lucky.
@@bh2155 luck has nothing to do with it. You gotta take what you want through hard work. It's just many don't have the drive to achieve their dreams. In the words of Shia Labeouf: JUST DO IT. DONT LET YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS
@@DontTripChocolateDrip What you are saying has some truth. However, sometimes following your dreams will not put food on the table, a roof over your head and clothes on your back. Lol
@@bh2155 Too true.
Sure it is!
Nick doesn't slap a lot, but those classy well placed pops and percussive "soft slap" thumb work are INSANE! The songs you do with Nick Campbell just DESTROY!!!!
Watching him play is like a masterclass every time.
I always play this version!

Nataly's voice over that bass line is heaven.
Gawwww thanks Caleb
Agreed, and apropos you used metaphor rather than simile, because Nataly's voice is not LIKE ANYTHING.
I love her finger gesture when singing this song...
Her flat expression blend to the whole lyric makes more PERFECT! 👍
the drummer's expressions are just priceless!
Bless you, TH-cam recommendation algorithm, for showing me this gold.
This made my whole month.
This bass playing is just fantastic, what a solid tone
He plays the spaces so well.
It carries the track. On point the entire time.
Is absolutely wonderful!
It’s tuned very Daft Punky I agree
So solid!
This version of the songs brings life back into my soul. I can feel my soul tremble with excitement! Also I've listened to this version almost 5k times or more already.
Really love her voice! It makes me feel in love of everything comes out her mouth while singing.
This sounds like if Something About Us was on Random Access Memories.

😂 aw buddy you _definitely_ are tho.
Rigz Digz you are DEFINITELY cool enough.
@@Pomplamoose Can you tell my kids that? They're old enough that they don't believe me anymore.
Cool and funny too!
Jajajaja
This literally made my day yesterday. Took me right back to the original anime video series, all those good memories. Seeing their energy in the studio is cool, this is just so smooth. Such a good cover.
This song and a few shots of tequila hits so hard. Here's to the man I love with all my heart who will never see me through. 🥺😭💔
Your bass line is soooooo good. Unreal.
That is one of the things I love about them. The bass lines are great.
Nick's bass is always amazing.
Bass pedal settings please please pleaseeeee, I love this sound!!!
That bass is ON point, my godddd
Nice indeed!
Bass players are brought out of shadows with Daft Punk music. Great Job!
Lyrics completely dope! Amazing song. English/French mix always spicing it up! and the band is awesome!👍👏😊
Has the exploitation of solid bass lines helped Daft Punk them forge their distinct sound? I believe so.
I come back to this video many times, especially because of the incredible bassline ; I wish that we had a version of this cover with camera 100% of the time pointed at Campbell. We could have learned so much from him this way.
I want this bass tab so bad. Been trying to catch glimpses of the neck of the bass the whole time.
Coming back to this song after 2 years, still heavenly and a melodic masterpiece. You need to wear your headphones and close your eyes and feel like you just drift off into a musical paradise. Can listen to this on repeat and still would never tire of listening to it. Thank you guys for such a beautiful rendition :)
Amennnnn!
This hits hard right now, guess it was the time to say goodbye.

I'm crying, this is hurting :(

The reason Pomplamoose makes for a better TH-cam band, than a traditional album band, is that on a record or CD you can't see Nataly staring deep into your soul while she sings.
As a happily married straight man, seeing how much fun Jack has playing these songs takes Pomplamoose and Scary Pockets videos from good to great for me.
You’re right! You just made me realize that their videos are more like performances, as in "performance art".
@@FortunateSoul I'm very confused as to why your lack of perversion matters when you talk about Jack Conte playing music. He's quite talented.
@@TehButterflyEffect yeah exactly hahahah

nataly speaking french just melts me... jack conte is the LUCKIEST man alive istg!!!!
These guys just keep getting better and better….can that be possible? Thank you so much for all your hard work and sharing.

Yessssss TH-cam algorithm, finally something I really enjoyed!
Right!

Exactly the same, here...

He's one of my two favorite bassists. The other is Victor Wooten. Seriously. I LOVE his tone and groove on everything he plays. Oh! ..and I've been playing bass since 1974. 🎸
I've spent a lot of time welded to a bass guitar in my life and Nick Campbell is next level. Such an intuitive feel for the groove and when to throw in an accent, slide or riff. Hats off.
That bassist just adds another dimension to this song, takes 'Eargasm' to a different level!
How amazing is it when people find themselves in music
Seeing them smiling at each other as they play gives me such a sweet feeling
I miss it so much. Gotta get a band together again!!
Man, those guys were VIBING. Amazing vocalist, amazing all around.
This really feels like a hug for me
For those who were wondering about "the French Talking Brige & Outro" : instrument + text + translation
The Instrument playing : Marxophone
Bridge Text : Mais je sais... je sais que je devrais pas mais... mais qu'est ce (que) tu veux? J'y peux rien. C'est pas le bon moment mais euh... bon, il faut que je te dise... parce que j'en peux plus.
Outro : Oh! J'ai besoin, j'ai besoin de toi. Est-ce que tu as besoin, tu as besoin de moi? Oh! oui, j'ai besoin, j'ai besoin...
Bridge translation : Well, I know... I know I shoudn't but... but what do you expect? There's nothing I can do about it. It's not the right moment but Um... Ok, I gotta tell you... because I can't handle that anymore.
Outro translation : Oh! I'm in need of, I'm in need of you. Are you in need of, in need of me? Oh! Yes, I'm in need of, I'm in need of..
PS : The outro can be simply translated as "I need you" and "do you need me?". I just thought of a way to mach the rythm since (unlike the bridge) the outro is singed.
@ROOT _ Crap! thx for your comment... I just made the correction.
Thank you for sharing this! Is the French passage from a version of the song I’m not familiar with? Or did they pomplamoose add that part themselves? Either way I love it! Moreso now that you translated it for the rest of us plebeians. 👍🏼
Saviour of the languages!
This deserves more likes and should be pinned! Wonderful. Thanks for putting the work into this. ❤
omg thank you so much i was translating the cover and couldnt understand the french parts tsm tsm
Home boy on Keyboard looks like he just became best friends with Alexei.
Everyone brought a different level of cool and it vibes hard.
Awesome cover.
I’m obsessed with your daft punk covers, so glad I’m finding them!
You guys are great.!!
Perfect example of how team work creates the music, and how the music doesn't need to be about the individual virtuosity. Love the studio.
Everyone is talking about the bass but IS NO ONE GOING TO MENTION THAT JUICY SNARE

My exact feeling
I want them to do digital love after hearing this

The original tune is just octaves but his fills make it way better. I wish I could figure them out.
And cool faces!
