You can call a swift all you want for the haters.. I've had one for going on 20yrs ..never had a breakdown , cheap to run , gets me to the same place as a 30k shitty audi or bmw would do.
As a long term buy the new Swift is probably the best supermini due to its relatively low price (for these inflationary times!) and Suzuki reliability. Also you get a lot of equipment as standard. The only other cars worth buying of this type is the Toyota Yaris and Honda Jazz. They are more technically advanced than the Swift but also a lot more expensive. The Mazda 2 is also worth a look as it is similar price to the Swift.
Iv always took a great interest in the new improved swift, as I drive a swift on a 70 plate. Which I find exciting to drive, the rear suspension could be abit more better to make it more smoother to drive with out feel every bump, pot hole in the rd. Technology wise mine don't come with sat nav, as iv seen on the video the screen a lot better & bigger. The trim on the inside looks lovely. My car is manual, & love to try the new ultra auto. As for the colour, the blue is absolutely brilliant with the black top & rear spoiler, I see it gain it shape , front & rear light a great improvement more stylish in design. Boot space not so bad , which I can't complain. I'm not very stuck on the wheel.
Overall it looks good in the flesh some colours will look much better than others and the roof colour will be important. The motion wheels look like Dacia wheel trims seriousely ive got nicer aftermarket wheel trims on our steel wheeled Jazz. Like the Orange metallic standard option though interior would be improved with a heated wheel its on my wish list.
Somehow the bonnet doesn't seem to be complementing the overall design. Perhaps it is due to the black roofing, or the camera angle it was shot at. I'd love to take a closer look at the machine.
I have the 2018 model SZ5 Mild Hybrid with 1.0L 3 cyl Turbo Boosterjet Engine which has 109bhp. Got to say very underwhelmed by the new model, it just looks liKe a facelift of my car. Slightly different at the front, and the tail lamps slightly different as well. Interior is almost identical apart from the larger infotainment screen. Overall the car is not that much different. The main disappointment is the engine only delivering about a measly 83bhp, don't get me wrong, I love my Swift, but to release a new model almost identical with a lesser powered engine is a backwards step by Suzuki. I am test driving the new one next week, but the engine downgrade is really bugging me.
It’s tough to even call it that. It’s a 12v mild hybrid and it’s next to useless. It adds complexity, but only improves power and fuel economy by a tiny amount.
@@afcgeo882Agree rather have one without it, Hyundai's new i20 now comes without a one probley down to reliability or warranty claims because of it so stopped using it on the new model.
@@Silver-st2zq To he fair, the i20 had a 48v mild hybrid system, which adds a huge benefit of replacing the starter and alternator, and taking a large initial torque load off the ICE engine. Hyundai removed it for cost savings. It’s 12v systems that are pointless.
The difference in specification between Motion and Ultra is ridiculous! A rear heater ‘outlet’ how mean is that? The differences in real terms amount to slightly nicer wheels, folding mirrors and automatic HVAC. That’s it. You can get a Polo, Fabia, Corsa, Sandero, MG3 in this price range. There’s zero reason to buy this at all
everybody in this comment section must be either bots or out of their damn mind! everybody in social media groups agrees that the new design is horrible and the older one is better!
What happens if battery packs in after 3 years, Suzuki dealer sold car, after 3 years was only charging to 72%, was 18 grand for new battery , no thanks
Just drove the previous version in Ireland for a week and it was… okay for a hired car. Incredibly slow and loud on the motorways. The CVT (not eCVT) was smooth, but the hybrid completely useless. It looked way better than the new one, but lacked power windows in the rear. It had very good standard safety features though. I got 5.5L per 100km, so 51 mpg… that’s okay for such a small car, but nothing stellar. My Rav4 hybrid gets better and it’s AWD and MUCH larger. As with all Suzukis, you get what you pay.
The speed alert system on this car is defective. It cannot detect all road signs and therefore, causes distractions on incorrect speed alerts. It beeps at the wrong time, which is VERY IRRITATING. A disappointing car and I wish I never bought it.

Completely agree.
When you compromise safety

Mine's 16 years old and yes it has been rock-solid reliable and great fun to drive.
Suzuki is Japanese, it'll be reliable

Great review - just ordered a dual tone Burning Red from John Banks!

Love the car😊
I want one in all black...Ultra spec
i've got one in black & it's great it's the all grip ultra so go for it

Trust me, it looks awful in person as well
Mileage please?
Will there be a sport version ?
Nice presentation
Cute car 😍- nice review 👍- sweet presenter ...💙
Great review.
Would you choose the swift or Hyundai i10?
Greatest review ❤❤
Nice information ❤
Mpg is 64.2 not 62.2
Absolutely fabulous information thank you I want one

Wheres the sport?!
Hope the next version of Swift will not continue with the aesthetically challenged design.
I think we will probably have an electric SWIFT next....
Looks somewhat like a mini cooper
I would have preferred a cheaper car with less tech. Not exactly a budget choice.....Good review

Shame about the wheels, they really let it down. The previous version had much nicer wheels.
get the swift ultra the wheels are much nicer
The wheels are awful in the flesh - like the cheapest possible alloys you’ve ever seen. No excuse at this price, none at all
@@MarthaMansbridge not if you buy the ULTRA

Uses a 12v Battery as far as am aware at around £400 to replace.

Get out of here!😣
Much like the new Mini, the exterior styling is absolutely abysmal.
That hood looks hedious ... as if a rectangle and a smaller rectangle over it and then amalgamated it .... Uglish
Im guessing that beeping was because you kept looking at your camera not the road? Annoying for a car reviewer😂
to be honest.....this car is ugly...sorry....but the opel corsa is the better choice for a small car😊
Opel has wet belt engine peaugot engine a very bad engine Google it
Yes,but reliability is zero in comparison with Suzuki.

It has the lowest safety ratings and is called a "tin can" in India.
The important part of that is being called that in India. In the UK the previous car had a 4 star Ncap rating ☺️
