  • Upgraded the front brake lines on my suzuki gsx-r600 2004 with Hel braided lines. I must say I could already feel how firm the brake lever when pressed. Hope you enjoyed the video, don't forget to like, comment and subscribe if you haven't already thank you.

    Fitted Hel lines to my R6 2 years ago. No issues first MOT but latest MOT tester saying I fitted the wrong as angle at callipers is too acute and should go straight up. Instead they angle towards rear of bike before going up to master cylinder. They but up against the spigot on the calliper. Is it possible to orientate them incorrectly? Can’t remember at time of fitting if it said there was a master cylinder and calliper end. I defo fitted the longest hose to the furthest away calliper so it’s not that. Any thoughts?

    Well done! So you first bleeding down the calipers and then on top the radial pump? Is that right?

      Yes sirr make sure all calipers have been bleed and all fluid from reservoir is all gone and just bleed the master cylinder just incase before undoing the banjo bolt to make sure all fluid is out.

    Hi, great video, thank you. Do you know the lengths of the brake lines? Is it a standard kit? I am also looking to upgrade mine on a 2004 GSX-R 750, the seem to be the same. Thank you.

      Not sure on the length..but if you go to hel’s website they will have two options, 1 is the same routing as the original so 1 pipe coming from brake master cylinder then splits in two for each brake calipers. And 2nd option is two pipes from master cylinder and then straight to the calipers.

      @@JetMB Again, thank you. I'll check them out, hope they sell them in my country. If not, I'll go with Galfer 🙂

    Great video. I noticed you switched from OEM layout to two full length individual lines. I'm about to do the same (since I accidentally ordered full length instead of OEM lines). I am a bit concerned about the LHS line rubbing on the mudguard and damaging paint. Have you noticed any such issues after using the zip ties??

    • @JetMB
      @JetMB  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No not at all... just make sure to route it nicely..

      @@JetMB my pal has fitted my HEL brakelines as per the OEM layout and i thought it was wrong, is that still ok or will that cause me problems you think?

    • @JetMB
      @JetMB  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should be fine mate, they have two different layouts oem and direct..

    Is it important which side brake line goes closer to the master cylinder?

    • @hnaseer7010
      @hnaseer7010 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the longer line on the left (furthest side from master cylinder) and the shorter line on the right (closest to master cylinder), that’s if you go for a race setup (two separate lines).
      If you go for manufacturer spec (over the mudguard) put them on the same way you took the old ones off.
