- Thanks to everyone who showed up to the livestream last night! In my opinion, I feel like this episode didn't do a good job of setting up the finale next week. There was very little development regarding all characters. I will say I am REALLY STRESSED about Baylan though - he's the best character in this series by far for me. What did you think?

Here's a thought, Sabine's talking in the Rebels epilogue is actually her catching Ezra up to speed that happened off screen in this episode.
I loved the way Anakin mentioned Asajj Ventress for the first time in live action including a cameo of his astroidmech droid C-3po truly awesome and wonderful 👍🏽👏🏾👍🏽
The way you only get hype when a male character appears on screen is so funny to me lmao, at least you try to be subtle sometimes

Has anybody checked on the Japanese for "Shin Hati" it's very interesting for those of you who might want to know more of her back story.
I know Shin means heart in Japanese.
As for her last name. Dave Filoni def used both Hati and Skoll as the Norse mythology tale of the two wolves that chase the moon and the sun.
Re: Ezra and Sabine, honestly, I do think there's an interstitial relationship type somewhere between "just friends" and "lovers." Let's call it the "Sam and Frodo Zone." Two people that have an element of "romantic" love, but _something_ prevents that from progressing to "traditional" romance. IE: both are straight men as in the Sam and Frodo example, or maybe one of them has serious psychological intimacy issues, or one of them is asexual, or one of them has been very hurt and is actively eschewing romantic relationships right now, et cetera. I would suggest the most-likely roadblock here is that Sabine is too traumatized by loss to have that sort of thing be a part of her life (or she could just be asexual, or aromantic, or even gay: she's never really shown an interest in anyone during this show, or during "Rebels," so, we really don't know).
I can speak from experience: having been raised exclusively by women, I tend to bond with women, so, the vast majority of my friends are women. So, I have several friendships with women where there has always or almost-always been a..... "Platonically romantic" undercurrent. It doesn't mean we're about to be making out in the corner (though that, and more, _has_ happened with a few, to be honest) or ever will, it just means that there's something more there. It's just not "in the present." Like meeting your spouse from a previous life, or something.
I don't know, it's hard to explain to people. I think most don't understand it, because they've internalized this hard friends/lovers line of separation that feels more culturally-imposed than real. So they either go straight to "I must bone you now," or actively shut the feeling out of their brain because of a fear of "ruining the friendship" somehow. I kind of just let it coast organically, come-what-may. I just value so much that level of intimacy in friendship, and I wouldn't reject it becoming something more in the future, or regret it staying where it is right now permanently. I just value them being in my life, and having that kind of deep connection to another person, in any form.
So, what Sabine and Ezra has feels like that to me. They don't want to date each-other or sleep with each-other, or anything, but they're incredibly, incredibly important to each-other. They're a _little_ "in love," but not in the way we usually mean. Do you watch "Doctor Who"? The Twelfth Doctor and Clara are a fantastic example of that (though The Doctor kind of cheats by not really being a sexual creature outside of what River Song and the mere existence of Susan implies).
And, Dave Filoni did say, at the end of "Rebels," when he was asked why he didn't get Sabine and Ezra together, that he had wanted to show that a man and a woman, especially two younger ones, could be extremely close without having to be in a romantic relationship.

@@joel5135 That’s grief. Extreme grief, but grief. A very good friend of mine died last year at just 31. You’d better believe she still haunts me. There’s a framed picture of her and I on my wall, and I still have intense dreams (and occasional nightmares) involving her. I live just a few blocks from where she did before she passed, and every time I walk past her apartment building, I stare, and feel unfathomably sad. I still have videos of her on my phone, and the last voicemail she sent me. I was never in love with her in a romantic sense. I’m just still grieving for her, 14 months later. I suspect I always will be.
@@joel5135 honestly it’s mostly due to trauma…. She lost all of her family and the only ones she had left are hera, zeb, Ezra and kanon (who died)
Both zeb and Hera are busy and Ezra got stranded in part due to Sabine letting him go off to face thrawm alone (she distracted everyone else so he could sneak away and basically sacrifice himself)
The boxes could be generations of witches, just waiting to be awoken (such as Thrawn did for the Great Mothers), to repopulate Dathomir. Maybe the price he paid for their help was transporting all of them to Dathomir for that purpose. He got home - and they get to reestablish Dathomir.

To be fair The Book of Boba Fett and Mando Season Three's penultimate episodes were *better* than the finale, so if this breaks that trend Ahsoka's finale will be the best finale since Mando season 2 lmao

My thoughts are this was one of your weakest reactions. Was expecting more. On the episode what’s the point of Sabine hiding information from Ezra when Ahsoka knows that she blew it. Ezra is going to find out from Ahsoka. Hate that senator! The dual between Baylan and Ahsoka was great! Loved the music too! Sad that last week is it 😢
I suppose every episode can't be Great.
40% drop in viewers from first episodes compared to episode 3 - not surprising. May improve with episode 5 / 6 but not looking good for Disney Star Wars.
Disney knows how to not make this show believable with not injuries to the whales or the crab people in combat just too new Disney no blood nothing like George's star wars
My thoughts WTF was that All the episodes have been 9's for me With one 8.8.. This episode I give a 5 out of 10 Some of the worst fight choreography I've seen in a while.. But yeah I wasn't feeling it ,it felt like a rushed episode Very sloppy work... Not bad and not good Just in the middle... Definitely the worst of the series so far anyway..
