Good job, Chris. I am curious; if you have any opinions about this beta lightweight vs. the patagonia storm10 shell, they seems to be similar with quite a price difference. I've been looking at that coat.

The Beta lightweight is the same as the SL. They just changed the name from lightweight to SL

Does the DWR bead water? I learned the hard way with my new Patagonia that the DWR doesn't bead water or repel stains anymore. Dries just as fast and I do not get wet but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the toxic DWR that made them stain proof. McDonald's stain right on the front that after a week of trying just spread out more.

I haven't herd much on the differences between the older DWR coatings and the newer PFC free coatings. I'll try to look into that. When the garment is new, it all should work well to bead up the water. I know that on time, and with use the coating can diminish. I have had to reapply a graingers DWR to a few pieces over time. Not sure if the PFC free last longer or shorter.

all these videos about these jackets but bad audio. Time for a microphone so we can hear you better.

I bought a nice, expensive shotgun mic, but I keep it several feet away as to keep it out of the screen. I can't use a clip on as it would get in the way. I'm trying,

@@meandmyjackets there’s gota be a way to adjust or tweak it to make it sound closer if you have an expensive mic. Hope you figure it out cuz you’re always giving us jacket reviews.
