It is nice to see that companies do improve and make changes to their products over time. However it is also nice to know that products can last a long time, and get lost of use! Makes it all worth the money we spend.🙂
Any shell will fit over it, it just depends on your needs and uses. Both a trim fit shell or a regular fit shell will be ok. It just depends on your budget, and if you want a heavier or lighter shell. I would also recommend looking at a Cortazu All Weather Hardshell.
I wish they made the beta with pit zips, I like the smaller hood and the inside pocket, but it's lacking pit zips like my beta lt has, but my beta lt has a huge helmet compatible hood (not needed for me) but it has pit zips and no inside pocket
Hi, I’m looking for a new goretex shell. - Needs to have helmet compatible hood - At least one chest/napoleon style pocket - pitzips for ventilation - as light as possible Recommendations? Price is irrelevant
@@meandmyjackets the AR as well? It sounds silly but im looking for the perfect rainjacket that will be stealthy if needed too. It will be for in my WSHTF backpack. So any kind of reflective things I rather avoid. This would be a bit of a deal breaker for me.
Maybe you have any other great recommendations. I want a good rain hardshell that I would be able to use all day round either for hikes, bike rides, backpacking and even trips in the city.
@@justaletdown I like the Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0, or maybe the Norvan From Arc'teryx. The Norvan is lighter, designed for trial running, but nice all around shell.
Hi i have a Beta AR and im wondering if i need to have a LT for sping/summer and somethime in falls. Do you think its a great idea or a wast of money while i have a AR?
The lightweight is lighter, which is nice for warmer weather. It just depends on your budget. Other options that are nice and cheaper are the Arc'teryx Norvan, the Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0, the Rab Downpour plus, or the Helly Hansen Loke.
@@Ice-Fall Arc'teryx keeps changing names. It gets a bit confusing after a while. The LT used to mean "lightweight", now the LT is the Beta Jacket. The SL was called the "lightweight" until recently. The Beta AR has remained the same, ... so far!🙂
Thank you for this. Please do one for the Beta Insulated!
I did a video on the Beta insulated jacket a while back.
I have a 2003 Beta AR, back when it was a shorter ice climbing jacket and it doesn't look a whole lot like the Beta AR of today.

Thanks for reviews , very useful content for online shopping. I have an atom heavyweight , which shell would be the best fit over top on it. Thanks

Check out the Cortazu AR Hardshell. It is really nice, cheaper, has a smaller hood, and pit zips.

How tall are you and how much do you weigh for reference?
Sorry, sometimes I forget to mention that. 6'2" 215 lbs. size XL
all beta jackets have Recco reflectors

For regular city use and occasional outdoor adventures, would you recommend Beta LT or Beta better?
+1
LT

their fall 2024 has a Beta SL now. wondering where that is position?
It's the same Beta Lightweight, just renamed SL. Arc'teryx is crazy with their names lately.
The SL is 55 grams lighter than the LT, and uses ePE Goretex.

hello sir can u prefer for what jacket weather ?
Shells can be worn anytime for protection in wet, snowy, or windy weather. , What you wear under it depends on the weather, and activity.
