Watching from the third floor of a row house in a very big city surrounded by millions of people. Amazed by how much variety is out there. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for the support! We know all too well about living in the city. We are very grateful we were able to flip our script and make it to Maine 😊
It is amazing how much our costs have increased here in Maine. We recently had to order some tools for the farm. The prices have gone up 50% since the catalog came out in January 2024! You are wise if you are able to repurpose and barter. It helps to keep the cash in your pocket, or at least in your community. Best wishes at the craft fair!
Even when we came out here in 2021 prices had gone up. We budgeted for a lot of things and that budget got blown out of the water. So repurposing and bartering were a necessity. Thanks for watching!! We appreciate the support!😊
Did I not send you those big fingerless mittens, big guy? Great video. Starting from scratch is expensive. It’s great that u let folks know the possible cost.
Thank you for sharing. As always, we look forward to your videos. We weren't able to make it to the craft fair. But I hope you did well. We saw the pictures and the stuff Jenn made looked amazing.
Hello Jason I have been a big fan of you I try to watch all your videos when I can. I’m a small TH-cam channel and trying to get my homestead going. On the other hand I have been trying to go around and help out other homesteads with any kind of work I’m a carpenter by trade but I love doing anything if you are interested in having me let me know
And we appreciate you and all of your support! What you’re doing, helping other folks, is nothing short of outstanding!! If and when a situation comes up, I’ll be sure to reach out! Thanks again for your support! 😊
@ any time we do it all for free we are not looking for any kind of money for any work we do it’s all just to help people because we know how much work there is every day. keep the videos come bud love your channel
Hi Jason n Jen, Well this was a very interesting video, 🤔 I honestly can’t imagine people asking you how much you paid for all your properties! That’s just mind blowing and rude all the same time 🤷♀️ Wow, you act like it didn’t bother you to much though Jason lol I think you guys have done a fantastic job on everything you’ve made or built! I just love y’all’s determination cause that’s exactly what it takes, huh? Hey you guys stay safe, warm and God Bless you ❤
Hi Pam!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!! We get a lot of questions about living this lifestyle and this is just one of them. I can understand your opinion but I can also understand why they ask. It is scary and unknown for a lot of people (including ourselves when we were getting ready to do this) We are wanting to give people that are wanting to do this an idea and goal for leaving the “rat race” and live a more simpler lifestyle. That being said as you stated determination is a large part of this. You have to want it to be able to achieve it. Before coming out here we didn’t have a huge house and new cars every few years. We could have but that wasn’t our goal so we saved and planned to achieve our goal of moving out here. A good part of it was all paid for before moving here (cabins, solar, well, etc.) We didn’t want to have bills when we moved here. Now there are times when builds (the garage and greenhouse) or certain things get put off till we have the finances. Hope you have a terrific week! Thanks for your constant support! Stay safe, warm and God bless!♥️🙏♥️
