I just wanted to say, This should be more upvoted! Great video quality. Very thorough in step by step description. Made me more confident. Thanks heaps!
Just moved from Brisbane to Sydney, and looking at what to do. This has been really helpful. (Hopefully I don't pay much for blue slip as I just bought a new car last September) Handy tip on the CTP insurance application without NSW rego. Cheers mate! This has been helpful.
Mostly correct info. The $66 blue slip fee is set and can not vary. It’s NOT a teaser as you say to get you in the door. Cars without issues ONLY costs $66. You buy crap you need to get it fixed
Are the additional fees he talks about for finding the problems or fixing the problems? Could you fix the problems yourself and get it reinspected? Cheers
Quotes to repair are normally for free when the issue is obvious. If there was going to be labour involved to determine an issue the mechanic would charge for the labour to investigate the issue. Yes you could fix the issues and then go back and try and get a blue slip a second time
@@nointernetdinosoursgame2351 its a quote to fix the issue something to keep in mind is if h can find someone who only does inspections and does do repairs u may have a better time as they will be less in centivised to add non issue as a requirement for repairs
Everytime you go to a mechanic for anything they've got you over a barrel. Before they start their "inspection" the least they can do is lube up their glove well beforehand.
Great video. But I was wondering as a NSW resident how do you transfer the car from QLD to your name after purchasing the vehicle. What are the stamp duty costs like? Cheers
could anyone shed some light on the previous process to register your car? This system seems frustrating, but im sure the its yonks better than what the government previously had? Cheers.
Hi Mate, what if vehicle is REPAIRABLE WRITTEN OFF in VICTORIA, has been repaired ( have all the documents ) but car is not registered, Can I bring that car to NSW and then register it ?
Thanks for the video My question is this what if it comes with the QLD plates ready Do I hand them in to NSW service office when it’s time to pay for the new rego I plan on buying a car and driving it back to NSW
Yep, the NSW team will ask for your QLD plates and will take care of sending them back for you. You get a pro rata refund for whatever rego is still remaining in QLD, minus admin fees
Hey! Wait, I thought the pro-rata rego from QLD goes back to the previous owner? So it goes to the buyer? Also, what about the "proof of entitlement" - what did you show them for that?
The refund goes to the QLD rego holder (seller if you’re buying from interstate, otherwise you if you’re bringing it in yourself). I just showed them the VIN number on the QLD rego papers showing that I am the owner ✌🏼
Did you tow the van into nsw or did you drive it in? And if you drive it how did you drive it if you can't transfer it into your name since you live in nsw?

Need a blue and pink slip for a cars registering

So the blue slip is done in NSW, not the purchased state?
Yeah pretty sure you need to do the “blue slip” inspection when you get the vehicle to NSW, but maybe someone can correct me if I’m wrong 👍🏼
Thanks for the video

Hi, when you use the calculator online it mentions Stamp Duty just wondering if you had to pay that at registration?
Hey! Wait, I thought the pro-rata rego from QLD goes back to the previous owner? So it goes to the buyer? Also, what about the "proof of entitlement" - what did you show them for that?

how to register a interstate repairable writeoff vechile in nsw plz help me out
got. blue slip got a green slip but they still not doing it
Mate, is that Blue or Pink Slip or its the same thing ?
Think this would be a “blue slip” for NSW because it’s the first time it will be registered there
Is it the same process if you are registering a car that is currently registered anywhere ?
hey, if i have no old registration nd number plates then how can i do new registration?
I guess you’d need a “blue slip”
Did you tow the van into nsw or did you drive it in? And if you drive it how did you drive it if you can't transfer it into your name since you live in nsw?
I drove it from QLD which is where I bought it. I bought it in my name and then also transferred it into my name in NSW 👍🏼
helpful. thank you
Welcome
Cheers bud
No worries 🤙🏼
Hi, did it cost $500 for everything to be fixed or found? Would it be possible to fix the problems yourself? Thanks :)
Yep it was about $500 to fix everything. Could have been worse I guess. I’m not a mechanic, so I wouldn’t have a clue how to fix these items 🤷🏼♂️
@@vantelligence6478 awesome cheers
did you have an unregistrated permit?
Nope, drove it in to NSW with QLD plates
I need number plate to register
I have a 05 econovan ❤it,
you dont need the MECHANIC to fix your car, you can do it
