Nice video and still current. Please don't forget the Tolls, Taxes, Duty and Levys when you purchase and operate a vehicle in New South Wales. Here's a breakdown of how crazy the costs have become on money you have already paid income tax on. You get a drivers license and pay a fee. (1Y = AU$62) You purchase a car and pay GST on the cost of the car. (10%) You pay a stamp duty when transfering the title to your name.(< AU$45k=3%, > AU$45K=5% on the GST inc sale price) If your vehicle is over 5 years old you will require a road worthy cert (Pink Slip) which is AU$43 including GST. (10%) You purchase your green slip Compulsory Third Party Insurance (CTP) and pay GST on the policy. (10%) You register you car every year and pay a vehicle Tax based on the mass of your vehicle.(eg Ford Mustang = AU$505) You pay GST on your car registration cost. (10%) You decide to get a comprehensive insurance policy that covers damage to your own vehicle and pay GST by the insurer adding it to the policy cost. You fueled the vehicle at the local petrol station and paid a fuel excise tax of AU$0.46 per litre when you pumped the gas. You paid GST on the cost of the fuel including the excise tax. (10%) You drive your car from Seven Hills to the city and pay a series of tolls that include GST in their cost. (10%) - M2 North Ryde AU$9.23 - Lane Cove Tunnel AU$3.84 - Sydney Harbour Bridge AU$4.00 You park in Harris St Sydney and pay AU$5.60 per hour at a parking meter that includes GST in the cost per hour. (10%) You drive back to Seven Hills and pay another series of tolls that include GST in their cost. (10%) - M2 North Ryde AU$9.23 - Lane Cove Tunnel AU$3.84 If you can think of any more I have missed please let me know.
