You gotta do "A Little Priest" next!! You really shoulda done it first so this one wouldn't take you so much by surprise, lol. I love every song in this show, but my other top recommendations are "Not While I'm Around", "Pretty Women" "Epiphany", "Kiss Me / Ladies in their Sensitivities" and "The Worst Pies in London". And btw, that's Mrs. Potts from the original Beauty and the Beast as Sweeney's partner Mrs. Lovett.
There are a couple of really sweet songs in this. "Green Finch and Linnet Bird", and "Johanna" are absolutely beautiful songs. But "A Little Priest" is a funny, comic, DARK song.
To truly appreciate this song you need to check out A Little Priest. It's from earlier in the play, when they're coming up with the plan to make the pies. The Broadway Cast recording is full of so many delicious puns too. :D

It is, I believe, the song immediately preceding this one in the musical, and explains roughly how they came to this point - and it's hilarious, the funniest song about cannibalism you will likely ever hear. Definitely worth a reaction.

I'm recommending the soundtrack to Six the Musical to you India, In think you'd love it. It's the story of Henry VIII's six wives from their point of view, done in a totally modern pop music style. Each queen is modeled on a famous pop star, Catherine of Aragon is modeled on Beyonce, for example. The queens are vying for the lead singer position in the group, and whoever was the worst treated by Henry wins. It's my new favorite musical and I'm recommending it to everyone. Stay safe.

4:27 since when can u even buy only a piece of a meat pie? it would seem pretty pointless to sell it in pieces. they are already pretty small. they are like the size of a burger.
Len Cariou won every award there was for this show. He was able to modify his voice between sweet and gravelly while sounding both gorgeous and menacing. Not sure what you're criticizing about his accent here because he doesn't really use one.. maybe you're thinking about the guy who played Toby?
@@billythedog-309 He doesn't. The only main characters who really have accents are Mrs. Lovett, Toby, Pirelli, The Beadle and Beggar Woman/Lucy. Johanna, Anthony, Judge Turpin and Sweeney all speak in and sing without an accent.

Jesus, this actor playing Sweeney Todd is terrible! He attempted a British accent as much as Kevin Costner did in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.
