Additionally, this guy probably got atleast 1 million views, which is roughly $1,000 USD (I think, but please correct me if needed) so the copyrighter COPIED a video, made atleast 1k, then had the AUDACITY to copyright a TH-camr with only 2k! TH-cam pls fix
Fun fact about the strike and copyright system, if you make too many requests and strikes, youtube will start to manually review your requests and when they see that they are fraudulent, they will start blatantly ignoring and denying your requests

How can you strike someone for fair use and get away with it? If a false claim is proven to be wrong, it should automatically strike the claiming channel back. My brain is bending when I constantly hear about someone striking channels left and right and always getting away with it. This problem has been around forever, so why is it still a thing in 2024?
Well then that limits the claimant's ability to seek justice for potential copyright abuse, which is strictly protected under the digital millennium act that governs the platform. TH-cam would get sued to death by every copyright holder on the planet if they stopped prioritising copyright holders over creators. Also for it to be "proven" it has to go to court cus TH-cam cannot legally determine what is and is not fair use, only the courts can do that, so once a claim has been made the only way to reverse its effects are either for the claimant to retract the claim or for the courts to say it's fair use (TH-cam can only really do anything if it's not a question of fair use and there is just blatant misuse of the system) It's similar to the issue that creators can only refute 3 claims at a time while copyright holders can make as many claims as they want

Exactly! Spizee apparently striked my boy Vesh for "copyright" but in reality, from Spizees "my response" video, 90% of Spizee talks about Veshremy bullying him too harshly. Maybe if Spizee gave Vesh a strike for harassment/bullying, then that would be a better case. Now obviously I'm on Veshremy's side and I'll admit that Vesh did say some things that I wouldn't have said to Spizee in terms of how sensitive TH-cam is, but technically, it's commentary, which is legal, and Veshremy doesn't even mean the stuff he says, it even literally says that on his TH-cam description. But what Spizee does need to learn from this is that when you get fame, there'll be hate.
I think this situation might be the a great example of taking things at face value. TheManniShow apologized and cleared up the reason why copyright strikes were issued (They were done by an agency he hired that didn't ask for his consent). But regardless of how much you make dislike or hate his content, looking into the situation deeper is always important. I'm only saying this because I see some comments that are fresh 1 or 2 days old, that jump the gun when there is new information already available. Considering that Charlie created a post about SSSniperwolf's situation and how she isn't responsible for the claims, I hope he does one too with TheManniShow because honestly he is surprisingly a chill dude. What the original video talking about why everyone hates the Manii show was saying was that the entire Manii show channel is copied content, he takes ideas from other videos and recreates them then uploads them, sometimes copyrighting the original video to have it taken down. The entire channel is disgusting and I'm surprised people are just now catching on because he's been doing this for years.
tbh, youtube algorithem can be good at it's job, I ignored it like, 2 years ago, and never got a recommendation of his videos ever again. 12 million subs seems like a lot but there's almost 8 billion people on earth. And subs don't translate to views most of the time.

How can you strike someone for fair use and get away with it? If a false claim is proven to be wrong, it should automatically strike the claiming channel back. My brain is bending when I constantly hear about someone striking channels left and right and always getting away with it. This problem has been around forever, so why is it still a thing in 2024?
I expect that type of claim to get at least proceed by the employees themselves since the claim itself is important 😕

Well then that limits the claimant's ability to seek justice for potential copyright abuse, which is strictly protected under the digital millennium act that governs the platform. TH-cam would get sued to death by every copyright holder on the planet if they stopped prioritising copyright holders over creators. Also for it to be "proven" it has to go to court cus TH-cam cannot legally determine what is and is not fair use, only the courts can do that, so once a claim has been made the only way to reverse its effects are either for the claimant to retract the claim or for the courts to say it's fair use (TH-cam can only really do anything if it's not a question of fair use and there is just blatant misuse of the system)
It's similar to the issue that creators can only refute 3 claims at a time while copyright holders can make as many claims as they want

Exactly! Spizee apparently striked my boy Vesh for "copyright" but in reality, from Spizees "my response" video, 90% of Spizee talks about Veshremy bullying him too harshly. Maybe if Spizee gave Vesh a strike for harassment/bullying, then that would be a better case. Now obviously I'm on Veshremy's side and I'll admit that Vesh did say some things that I wouldn't have said to Spizee in terms of how sensitive TH-cam is, but technically, it's commentary, which is legal, and Veshremy doesn't even mean the stuff he says, it even literally says that on his TH-cam description. But what Spizee does need to learn from this is that when you get fame, there'll be hate.
I think this situation might be the a great example of taking things at face value. TheManniShow apologized and cleared up the reason why copyright strikes were issued (They were done by an agency he hired that didn't ask for his consent). But regardless of how much you make dislike or hate his content, looking into the situation deeper is always important. I'm only saying this because I see some comments that are fresh 1 or 2 days old, that jump the gun when there is new information already available.
Considering that Charlie created a post about SSSniperwolf's situation and how she isn't responsible for the claims, I hope he does one too with TheManniShow because honestly he is surprisingly a chill dude. Cringe videos and humor yes, but really chill.
