Just wanted to to say this bike looks awesome. I have a GS550E that I'll be attempting to turn into a cafe racer this summer, and this has definitely added a little motivation. Great job.

What size did you have to re-jet to, with that air filter, and has it given you any trouble? They say those CV carbs have a hard time with anything but the stock filter.

Really nice build. I've got an 81 550T as well. Will be rebuilding it soon. Hoping to put on a 650 top end and block etc. Is the jet kit the one for the 550M? What coils and leads are you running? By the way man, this is one of the best, if not the best, GS550 build I've seen.

sorry its a great build and 6 speed if i remember .. everyone into hondas so you did somthing real spl....try a 550 katana tank bolts on with a TT shape + 5gals gas

Nice job. I have a 78 and it's all original now but after 3 years of riding it daily I think I'm ready to cafe it out. Thanks for the ideas.

They're k&n. If you Google gs550 k&n you should find them.
