It looks a nice, simple, clean finish, & we all know how hard that can be to achieve. I'd forgotten how beautiful the tank was. I built an FZR600 in a similar vein, single-sided swingarm conversion, indicators built into the seat frame, clip on's well below the top yolk & a single clock recessed into the chrome headlight & even the bar end indicators, really simple, the geometry of the swingarm alone took ages to get right, it rode like a Water Buffalo until I got it sorted. I'm watching this with a friend, who says it's not a very "Performance" related bike, I'm pretty sure that was the idea, just for long lazy rides on the PCH, then I reminded him of the bike I built for him as opposed to the one he wanted. He wanted a 1,000cc + Italian because he's such a good rider, I built him a Suzuki GSX750F( these have a de-tuned GSXR600 bottom end, that with a bit of love & affection can give excellent performance) based Cafe Racer, which still outperformers his ability, a lesson my beautiful wife taught him at the Nurburgring by taking 3 minutes off his best time on his bike that she had never ridden before, it's amazing how many people blame their bikes for not performing well enough, a little "Rider Training" would go a lot further than any performance "mod" & it's theirs forever. Be safe & thank you.
As strange as it sounds, I own a 1983 Suzuki GS 650 GL. I bought it in an advanced state of disrepair and it has taken me almost 5 years to get the parts needed to rebuild the engine. After that, I did not know what direction this project would take, from the moment I gave up the idea of a BMW. Of course I wouldn't do something like this project with this kind of monoshock. Although the one using the green BMW R 100 RT, I really loved it. Speaking of the past and current life, I must say that my first motorcycle was a venerable little machine made in Mexico with a Morini 125 cc two-stroke engine. It left a trail of white smoke and backfired asymmetrically most of the time. But I loved her as the first love that I felt "fly" with me, for me and by me. Born in 1959, my family's television had a black and white screen, in a beautiful wooden cabinet, and on that screen in 1974 I saw rifles with carnations and heard for the first time a song that I love: Grandola Vila Morena. It was the first time I saw the power of technology, which brought me closer to distant events, as if they were on another planet and the silver screen brought them to my window. Now I have the planet on my cell phone in the palm of my hand and my motorcycle is made in India and I know how to prepare a francesinha. I think I will let my imagination run wild to take my Suzuki GS 650 GL to new horizons.

@@RACER_TV Gracias, now in Mexico we are on our very own 25th of April. I do not speak about the subject anymore because it could be interpreted as something political and the theme of the channel is motorcycles, especially the so called cafe racer "craze".The cafe racermania. But those democratic machines that give us so much freedom and happiness are well worth the references to history. The good thing about speaking a Romance language as mother-tongue is that our hearts can switch from Spanish to "Espagués" and from Portuguese to "Portuñol". Saludos 😊

having now had 45 years of building my own rides i can say that the metal tech alone has come a tremendously long way. one can buy off the shelf tools that folks like myself had to fabricate and the types of welders and metal compounds available today....amazing. advancements like the ones i barely scratched the surface of ,that are available to the average person ,allows for the creativity that we have come to admire and channels like yours showcase. thanks for your efforts in showcasing the talents of yourself and others. enjoy the day my good man. =dok=
You cannot judge a man's wealth by the amount of money he has, but by the people surrounding him. I really love this bike! It is a fresh take on motorcycle design, both form and function. Great colors, the seat design is perfect! The rims I'm on the fence with. Not the white paint on them, but the look of them. Such low mileage on an almost 40 year old bike! It is barely broken in. All in all, it is a great machine that is purpose built, simply to relax and enjoy some free time...
Once upon a time, in the late ‘70’s, I had several GS750 & 1000’s, both the E & L versions. In my opinion, that was the toughest built air cooled 4 cylinder engine of that era. This is an amazing build by Johnny. I am not surprised, his twin BMW’s were also very nice! I like his concept and appreciate your presentation. A wonderful thought to start the day with today! As always, thank you for Racer TV, the Café racers only choice! I hope you’re able to get out soon on Frankenstein and bring a few minutes of beautiful video of your ride! Ride safe my dear friend. Hope you are all doing well!
So, just like i said in the video, if you had those bikes in the 70's, by my Portuguese standards, you were a very rich man, right. Lol. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. Yes, I finally already rode my Frankenstein after 5 months stopped. I was amazed how the engine started right away, and the battery had still enough power to start it. The only problem I have now, is an oil leakage at the front Left brake caliper. If it was a Honda part, this oil leakage would not happen. Lol :) Cheers.
I liked the video Victor but for me I'd rather choose to watch video without subtitle so I can see clearly the full details of motorcycle you are presenting.I love watching your video.. Good job Victor I am your no. 1 fun. God bless and keep safe.
Lol. Yes, I know what you mean. Maybe you should see each of my videos twice. One for the subtitles, and other to appreciate the lines of the bike presented. Lol. Thank you my friend for your very kind support. You too. :) Cheers.
I like the idea of not fitting into one or no category. That is a beautiful bike. My bike is all OE except the lights and nobody can guess what it is or what category it falls under. Upcycle Garage does amazing work. Can't wait for the snow to melt and go for a rip.
You are correct what once was not attainable by by the average person is now common place in every day life the sad thing is most people take it for granted. Great video real nice bike i don't think any one would realize it that old As always God bless you and stay safe in these troubled times 🙋♂️🇬🇧
Always a great jump for joy happens when your latest video pops up on my feed. As always, thanks for your efforts at sharing with us great cafe racer builds. 🇨🇦
Thank you. I am looking for inspiration for something to do with my 06 CBF 500A. Not much information available. But a build like this, ticks many boxes is interesting. Lovely perspective on life. Thank you.
Thank You for the Racer Tv
@@RACER_TV You know I've been drawing a lot of inspiration from watching your videos, my bike is slowly turning into a cafe racer. I bought an oddball of a bike, the Yamasaki YM-50cc and I already upgraded the motor to a 125cc and took out the stock head lamp for a classic 7 inch circular. The motorcycle is a full size adult frame, I believe it was originally designed for a 250cc engine but sold with a 50cc. I can see the strategy behind this motorcycle, sell it with a 50cc so in most states / countries wouldn't require a license thus increasing the appeal and availability to buy. Sorry for rambling here, thanks again and I look forward to more videos in the future. Cheers!
Fantastic build, key located in front, under the tank. The speedo on the side, the detail and style with the original tank no less. Suzuki GS650 is a wonderful bike for this project.
Great looking bike, and great video I always say live everyday like is your last day. Be kind to all you meet and enjoy your journey. Do what you like and ride like the wind.
Thank you for the motivation. I have this same bike sitting in my garage ( although not in as good of condition) hopefully I can start work on it this winter.
Great video Racer, as always. You're completely right , we don't realize how lucky we are today. A great looking bike, excellent craftsmanship by the builder. Ride safe mate, Cheers
Nice bike, mine is almost finished and its really something different gained alot of experience building a cb750 and a z750 and racing my Crf250r I thought of building something light and fast but most importantly looks epic
Great content as usual brother! You can pick up the Suzuki GS models for very cheap in California, because they are not the most sought-after at the moment, it is 2:51am in America right now, if I'm sleeping I will literally wake up to watch your videos when you post, thank you for another great video brother! And as always Ride Hard but be safe out there in Portugal my friend!
Bom dia Victor!
I'm glad you liked. I think it could be a bobber, if it had normal tarmac tires. I use this "robotic" voice created by software, because I'm Portuguese, and my bad English accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that I like for my videos. I already tried a real British voice in one of my videos, and, surprisingly, almost everyone hated it. Curiously, the robotic voice sounds realy very good for to non-English natives. :) Cheers.
Awesome bike, and excellent video work!!! I really like that it has deep meaning. Once I built a similar shape bike for a friend of mine on base of soviet bike from 1957, we called it Bobberacer)) That geometry is super fun to ride! Thank you Racer TV
In the most cases I agree with you but this bike is not my cup of tea. But I honor the craftsmenship and the lot of knowledge put into it. Verry nice Video as allways.
Isn’t it great to see what was initially another form of cheap transport when bikes were first made, to be interpreted as nothing else out there? The human brain thinking outside the box!🤤👍🏼🤣🇦🇺
Sorry for rambling here, thanks again and I look forward to more videos in the future. Cheers!
Fantastic build, key located in front, under the tank. The speedo on the side, the detail and style with the original tank no less. Suzuki GS650 is a wonderful bike for this project.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.

What custom bikes are all about - taking an ugly old unloved machine and transforming it into something personal and beautiful. Cool. Cheers 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
Another great build, with the soothing voice of an old friend! Thank you for returning to the original voice of the channel.
Thank you my friend for your support. :) Cheers.

Nice bike, mine is almost finished and its really something different gained alot of experience building a cb750 and a z750 and racing my Crf250r I thought of building something light and fast but most importantly looks epic
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
Thank you my friend for your support. :) Saludos.
Como sempre, obrigado RacerTV
Obrigado amigo pelo apoio :) Um abraço.

Espetacular motocicleta nos trouxe hoje! Parabéns! Melhor ainda seu texto. Love the sound of gs....! Bravo well done ..!
Thank you. I'm glad you liked my friend. :) Cheers.
Nice bike, nice video: good start for a great weekend.
Thank you. I'm glad you liked my friend. :) Cheers.
You're welcome my Friend. Visit us one of these days when you Travel west of France..

Thank you. I'm glad you liked my friend. One of the things i dind't said, is that this bike was sold on the internet, by USD $12,500 :) Cheers.
Excelente canal.
Talented young man! Well done! And thank you as always sir for bringing it to us.
You are welcome my friend. My pleasure. Cheers.
The David Attenburough of the custom bike scene..
very well done video!
Thank you. I'm glad you liked my friend. :) Cheers.
Lovely build! It's a bobber...
Great vid. Not sure about the British auto voice. It's not the 'first of its kind'!
It's a bobber x
I'm glad you liked. I think it could be a bobber, if it had normal tarmac tires. I use this "robotic" voice created by software, because I'm Portuguese, and my bad English accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that I like for my videos. I already tried a real British voice in one of my videos, and, surprisingly, almost everyone hated it. Curiously, the robotic voice sounds realy very good for to non-English natives. :) Cheers.
I will always count on your upcoming contents.
Thank you my friend for your support. :) Cheers.
Bonita moto, y una buena historia.
Un saludo
Thank you my friend for your support. :) Saludos.
Easy to decide if it is the left or right indicator.
I have an ‘81 GS850 that I’m totally copying you for!
Beautiful!
Awesome bike, and excellent video work!!!
I really like that it has deep meaning.
Once I built a similar shape bike for a friend of mine on base of soviet bike from 1957, we called it Bobberacer))
That geometry is super fun to ride!
Thank you Racer TV

In the most cases I agree with you but this bike is not my cup of tea.
But I honor the craftsmenship and the lot of knowledge put into it.
Verry nice Video as allways.

Merci pour ces commentaires philosophiques
Great video! Just wanted to say we here at Viking Bags really appreciate your content! Keep up the good job!
Thank you Guys for your support. :) Cheers.
Isn’t it great to see what was initially another form of cheap transport when bikes were first made, to be interpreted as nothing else out there? The human brain thinking outside the box!🤤👍🏼🤣🇦🇺
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
excellent video ,beautiful bike... it screams California the land of sun and beeches 🤣🙏
Thank you my friend for sharing your Californian perspective. :) Cheers.
F nice
Love it. Only thing I'd want to change is the rear tyre guard, it's going to allow water spray up your back.
