the sea vixen is my highest k/d vehicle (average 4 kills per death, 2 kills per match), and i once won a 5 vs 1 in it. you can bring much less fuel with it because as soon as you launch all your missiles the only thing you can do is rtb, i usually bring 40% which is 10 minutes the last thing is that you need to manage your energy well and you need to know when to fire missiles. the best ranges for launching red tops are between 1-2 km, and the best times are when your target has low energy and/or doesn't have enough time or space to have the rear aspect missile lose its lock.
The plane specializes in high-altitude turn and burn gameplay. It's a very specific and inflexible, yet also very effective playstyle for this plane. You have insane thrust, climb (For your BR), and energy retention. The Red tops suffer at lover altitudes due to their size and mass. But after the recent missile changes, at higher altitudes, they sometimes just feel dirty. They can be slaved to your radar, making it sometimes easier to get shots on people since most at this BR don't have chaff. Just don't ask them to turn especially hard. It may me a little more agile than an Aim-9B, but that's not a high bar. Best case is to go top-down on people and shoot preferably between 1.5-2km (~1-1.25 miles). If you wanted to get spicy, the Red Top does have limited all-aspect capability against afterburning targets. So if a Mig-21, Mig-19 or F-100 is going for a head-on, that could be a funky stunt.
Sea Vixen is a killer plane in WT. You can easily get a 4 KD ratio and higher. Get to 5km alt, seach for bombers and kill em, then or if there's none - dive to the other planes) But be sure all the time that you ain't being folowed and don't drop your speed low. A better range for Red Tops - 1.0-2.0km in a straight line depending on a target's speed. But sure you can get kills beyond that range - from 0.5-2.5km but the chance of it is not high. BTW if some jets with afterburner have low speed and AB burning, you can lock them on a head-on in about 0.7-1km. So there's a chance to get them even in a head-on. But be sure - they're slow and they're got AB burning. Oh - and try to use a radar. It has a very thin vertical range, but if you keep a targed locked it helps to lock your missles. o7
The trick to playing the sea vixen is to get high, and I mean HIGH (like 7-8 km/24k ft). Get in behind people who are slow and low on energy. When you follow these things and recommendations people have given in the comments you’ll be dominating fast
Not now .. Gaijin put it on 9.0br .. no flares no gun pod but why not .. full miggers 21s and other fast biases with canons .. Gaijin ruined another good stuff ..
takes off and instantly 180 for the first bomber he sees. Dude...u have no buisness on youtube. I bet most of your kills are from full commit head-ons. Common man...learn to play first

@@dorcusmalorcus well it was only a test drive for an hour and I had no experience or seen videos of it but good to know if I ever buy it thanks
serious skill issue
Advantages: speed, missiles, altitude
What this guy did: turn, fly low, dog fight
@@nooby_nate189 that is my kind of play style lmao
@@lollolbityt but that doesnt change the fact that the plane cant be used that way and work well

its worse post missile change. still figuring out how to use the new missiles
average wallet warrior cannon fodder
@@Sturmführer-h3o it was just a test drive lmao but I’ve seen people who are exactly that
You were literally doing a turn with full thrust... the turn rate is INSANE if you pull back the thrust and hit the airbrake......
@@MexxiUK good point lmao
