He should have been nominated for an Oscar and won that year. He looked gorgeous in "King of the Gypsies." A lot of tribute videos and clips of him from that film are on TH-cam and social media.

Eric is an excellent actor deserving of a solid high-quality comeback commensurate with his skill and the Oscar worthy heights he reached earlier in his career in films such as “Star 80”. I loved Steel Magnolias, but I have to agree with Eric on that one. Julia wasn't great in that. And he is right that once you get into that kind of stardom, people will not tell you the truth. I felt that way about a couple of the actresses in that film, tbh. They could have done better with a few reshoots.
