The market is not saturated. If you were to take the top earners, there's only a handful actually finding success. What is "saturated" is the amount of people who start and do it for 3 months and quit.
100%. It's the person, not the business. I'm going to get this to work.
bruh i been selling beats 10 years since i was 14 using my moms paypal im 25 now i still sell beats everyday tbh my advice is choose another job go back to school unless u wanna b antisocial sitting on a laptop all day ima internet producer or go the studio producer route thats more fun i never go 2 the studio
@@girlblood The consistency and the marketing is half the battle, having great, quality beats that also stand out is crucial.
I'm on that route, how long did it take you to sell beats full-time? or do you still work? I've always had other jobs of course to survive but been trying to build my business since 15. 10 years next month, ideally want a marketing job since I've been doing it for 10+ years with no budget for my own business haha, thoughts?@@girlblood
I've been doing this for 5 years now. the problem is I didn't start posting and selling until a few months ago.. I waited to long and I do feel like the market is oversaturated now. I'm not mad at it but producing really became a common hobby compared to when I started when no one was really interested
Remeber fellaz....i have been doing beats for 15 years, and i am still watching this video :D
i’m glad u mentioned waiting to become good to start selling them. I started making beats in 2019 and don’t start posting till December last year because I didn’t feel like my music was ready yet until now.
I started making music since 2018, but start posting a couple a months ago
So much helpful info. Really really good and to the point. Loved the no BS approach

Bro, this was very helpful 🙏
There were def some gems in here that I’m gonna start applying when I get home from work, might even create my own website with the resources you recommended. Keep getting caught up in handling every minuet detail instead of letting the music speak for itself and putting it out there.
Fuck yeah get the action steps going 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Very comprehensive video. Well done! 👍🏾

Fantastic execution of knowledge to our minds, good sir.
Appreciate it 🙏🏽
Nobody is actually mastering their beats, they're just making them louder "louder doesn't mean mastered"
Very true, technically mastering or making the beat louder shouldn't happen until vocals are on the track but ya gotta do what ya gotta do
Nobody? Huh, i am mastering. and with the EQ, you can use different hz frequencies to make it sound cleaner. One of the cleanest i try to copy, is Neelix. His mastering is insane.
@@jespermynchau5580 ...subjective but aye

Is there a way we should be setting up our beats to recognize copy write strikes? Or. Should we not worry about that?
Fyeee 🔥
How can you know that image for the thumbnail of beats are royalty free?
thanks
You're welcome!
Gold 🙏
Thank you 🙏🏻
Nice
Objectively speaking, I need to learn marketing, because my beat has not been sold for a long time.
Check out the rest of our channel 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Should I save beforehand for copyright costs? Or do you post the videos without registering your music?
No need to register anything, the copyright is yours automatically upon creation of your beats technically.
Hey man i love your vids and how you help producers get to the next step. But i still have a question about selling beats. Is having multiple youtuve channels a pro or con to have??
Thanks for the love! If you produce different genres it's recommended to put them on different channels, for example you wouldn't mix trap beats with smooth rnb beats because those are two completely different audiences. Cons are that you have to manage more than one channel which might put a strain on you depending on your creative output!
real shit
I am interested in selling beats just as a side hustle ...maybe 1k a month? How tough is it to reach about this amount?
I absolutely love this. But I have 1 main concern. I mainly make metal/rock instrumentals which take me way longer than "regular" type beats.
Would uploading 1-2 high quality instrumentals weekly do or do I really gotta push to get at least 3-4 out while still maintaining quality?
Definitely go for quality over quantity especially for that genre. You can get away with trap beats being pretty much the same 8 bar loop on repeat for the entire song, but metal and other guitar based music definitely has a bigger emphasis on the song writing and arrangement, so put the effort in and it'll be worth it!
@@wegotthatHEATE Thanks so much! Yes I do always feel the same way too. 1-2 quality rock or metal tracks would be the most realistic for me. I did want to ask, can I ask some more questions through DM or email? 🔥
Feel free to dm us!
@@wegotthatHEATE Done! Hope to hear soon 🤎
Letsss goo
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Is interacting with other producers also important? I want to succeed on my own. Please advise.
Please make a video on manychat!
🔥🔥🔥🔥👌👌
🔥🙏🏽
Cody co reference was appreciated 😂
classic scene 😂
how are you monitoring people so that they’re not able to upload without purchasing a license?
Good question 🤔 👏
Content ID. I put all my tracks in content ID. As soon as someone uploads it, they get a copyright claim (not a strike) and trough my content ID service, I claim all their ad-revenue until I release the claim. I don't get notified when someone does this but I do get paid for it and can see the statements afterwards of the videos that include my music. If the video is doing well, it'll only hurt the uploading channel, so I kinda force them to reach out to me and buy a license if they don't have it.
This is why I disabled TH-cam monetization with all my licenses except for the most expensive non-exclusive license. I make sure I prepare my customers (through email marketing automation) that this claim may happen and all they have to do when it does is reach out to me so I can check if they have the correct license. If they do, I tell my content ID management service to release the claim for that video.
There's some content ID services out there. Just google and do some research. I'm with a more exclusive company that doesn't except new clients so I can't refer you to mine. The process is similar with others tho.
Hope this helps!
Btw, good question. Noting this down for further research a the HEATE HQ. ✍

very helpful but the most confusing thing in this business for me is how to get paid by collecting royalties and everything around that
That’s a topic for another video 🤔🤔

Ive been playing instruments since 5.....i will put mine online but i mastered making cds and dats.....so mpc 2000 2500 5000 and tritons motifs studio one .....i got an edge.......just letting the noobies get a chance.....once i do .....they'll quit for sure..... when you can play elton john stevie w. At the young age i am...i just want to give a fair try.....im a whole nother level......ambrosia, Coldplay, john mayer,,,,,if you can play or understand this music then you ok.. if you copy off TH-cam....producers....its no long-term
Here's a question: It must have taken you ... IDK ... 4 hours to film this video, and another what? 4 - 6 hours to edit & produce it. Especially since your video is very "high quality", in my opinion. So bruh, when do you have time to produce music? You know ... The music that you're educating us on how to sell !!!??? Bruh, stop selling dreams to these young people. In order to sell music, you have to know someone in the business, just like everything else on the planet !!!
