Gotta love watching your content! You never take things too seriously and just have fun out there. Still gotta get myself some gum boots. Quintessential 4WDing gear. Any recommendations here? 😊
cheers that's what's it all about just getting out in nature and having a blast 👌 i just got Kmart gumboots haha they've never let me down (unless it's just user error and i go too deep)
Like the video mate it's cool seeing the adventures you get up to in the territory just an idea u should have a look and see if you can get some e/air lockers in it front and back or maybe a spool in the rear diff probably help you a bit more but keep it up pretty cool and funny stuff mate
thanks mate! i'm sussing out a rear lokka since my last trip to Glasshouse but they don't make any front ones for the Territory so I'll see how it goes 🤙 she's a capable rig as is which is awesome
@@alwaysAWD yeah nice even just having a rear one will make a load of difference I've got a territory me self was thinking about doing the same thing and mucking around with it have a bit of fun
i feel just all terrains and maybe a small lift and careful wheel placement these cars can go anywhere - throw yours into traction mode 2 and away ya go 🤙 a lokka only ever crossed my mind after some crazy intense wheeling in glasshouse - otherwise the rig has been unstoppable everywhere i've taken it as is 💪
This is cool. I prefer your reasoned/pragmatic approach with the kit you’ve got to the bullshit risks in some of the 4by content. I’d go wheeling with you blokes any day 🤙
Welcome to my backyard, I live in WANG (Wallerawang) and the park and state forrest is like 5Ks from home. I have a 2009 Rav4 (AWD) that I use for my town car and I also have a Holden Colorado 4WD ute. Good to see ya having a go. I have taken the RAV4 all the way to Lake Lyell from Links Rd of the Great Western Hwy. No mods on the RAV4 and road tyres only
The Gumboot of Truth : If your feet get wet.. You don't drive it! Loved it.. Keep up the Adventuring but.. might wanna upgrade the camping gear if you cannot handle the rain.. a Decent Double swag should allow you to stay out and dry in a pretty heavy storm. Mine allowed me to stay nice, Dry and safe when my mates tent ended up folding in on itself in a 45km wind gust..
it was just the intensity and wind that was unexpected - just all part of it everything dried easy but not worth dealing with soaked stuff day one in 🤙
yeah a big part of me was tempted, but this was after we got absolutely soaked with everything the previous night and already spent a fair bit of time checking out tracks - winch absolutely on the cards though 🤙 need to get a custom bar fitted first as there's nothing off the shelf for the Territory as it were
With drive to all 4 wheels, all you lack is low range & a bit more clearance, so you should be good to go many places. My standard Hilux's ground clearance is not all that spectacular in any case.
i've lifted the Territory as high as I'd like it and it's taken me everywhere so far 🤙 mates Rav4 just needs to pick his lines and crossings carefully but still manages great too - low range would be good for extended sand driving but tbh the rig has gone everywhere i've needed without investing in a more expensive fourbie for now 💪 your Hilux even stock will still take you to a tonne of spots too ez
Excellent video as usual
cheers mate!

Well done mate, good to see you stayed to easier tracks and had a good weekend.
cheers mate just all about knowing your limits 🤙

As always great vid. I had a Rav4 very underestimated machine. Weak point is the pipe running to the fuel tank, IT ROTS.
cheers mate they're such a capable rig 🤙 good to know re: the fuel tank pipe too!
Great video...
Nice RAV4 Gen 1.
Like your Territory too.
Great AWD venture.😊
thanks! the Rav4 is a cracking machine 🤙
Great vid 👌 mate Marrangaroo np is a top place to visit. Great camera work and some shenanigans along the way 😆👍 cheers and thanx for sharing
thanks mate was a great camp out 🤙

thanks mate just trying to have some fun in the rigs we got without getting ridiculously stuck 🤙 appreciate the support!
First track through the creek at 2 minute mark is similar to the crossing we used to do in the front wheel drive Telstar and Falcons as well.
how good! rocky bottom helps a tonne and would be cracker seeing a Telstar come across

sweet as great to hear - the Rav4 is a cracking car and it's such a wonderful area to explore

You could have made that track I reckon.
Someone needs a winch so you feel comfortable getting stuck sometimes.

@@alwaysAWD nothing was available for mine either.
@@dannthenitroman all part of the AWD life isn't it haha - it's half the fun though seeing how far can push these builds with bars and such too
@@alwaysAWD just gotta get the grinder and welder out. And go for it.
Are you able to share the route?
just head to Rydal 4WD area and you'll get a good idea of it 🤙

I like your style, when in doubt - don't. Great video.
cheers mate that's it just know your vehicles limits 🤙
