    Found the mold at a vietnamese store for $20 locally who just got these in. Everywhere I looked online wanted 35 or more. I made the cookies the next night. Turned out great! Thank you Nana!
    Also made these for our family Christmas party. Everyone loved it.

    I love this batter compared to the other ones using rice flour because the overall look and taste are on point without the oiliness. Love your cooking, Ms. Nana!

      jihae7 have fun! You can make these several days ahead of time so you are not rushing at the last minute. If you keep them in a good container after they cool down they will stay crispy for a few weeks.

    Nick, my sister-in-law lives in Fresno and she sells some of the desserts (kanom maw gang, purple rice, steamed cassava, and others). She's very good, and I get some dessert tips from her. I live in Merced.

    Yumocupcakes12: I'm from Merced. Thank you for your comment. I try to make my videos so that non-Lao-speaking people can understand too because I want everyone to enjoy. But sometimes, I feel more comfortable when I'm speaking Lao, but my Lao is not close to perfect either... Maybe I'm just hoping more people will understand Lao the more they watch my videos. ;)

    I loved this! Made it right away after I saw ur video! I have a question... Mines didn't stay crispy... I did put in into bags after about 30minutes... I don't know if maybe that would've made them not crunchy... Or maybe my oil wasn't hot enough.. I had it on medium... Maybe too much oil got into them so they were crunchy?? Any ideas? I'm going to try again tonight and not put them in bags and see

    • @CookingwithNana
      @CookingwithNana  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      SkKreationz Was it crunchy before you put them into bags? Also you have to make sure they are completely cool before you bag them or they will get soggy when they cool down.
