  • Crunchy and delicious deep fried flower cookies.
    This tutorial is made especially for those that have requested and of course anyone else that is interested.
    This recipe requires a special brass mold. Check Amazon for Dok Jok brass mold. There’s two types, what I have and one with a star in the center, either one will work. Happy cooking and be creative with this recipe.
    Watch tutorial for detail instructions.

    Hi sis I really like your recipes and I been trying many times but the cookies turn out soft not crispy. I try actually what you showed it in here but still not crispy. Any ideas what I should do.

      I’m not sure why yours are not crunchy, try frying a little longer.

    How long will they stay crunchy and fresh? If I have to make it ahead for a party.

    • @ZoeyandVFam
      @ZoeyandVFam  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve made and ate them 1 week later, it was still crunchy and fresh. Make sure to keep the cookies in a tight close lid container or if in bags tie the bag tightly.

    Can i put the batter in the fridge and use it next day?

    • @ZoeyandVFam
      @ZoeyandVFam  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, you can but the batter may thicken so add a little more water if needed. Make sure to cover it well.

    I bought the mold. How do you prep the mold before using?

    • @ZoeyandVFam
      @ZoeyandVFam  ปีที่แล้ว

      Clean with soap and water then dry well. Some people place in oil until using but I don’t.

    My cookies stuck to the mold, they would not come off in the hot oil. Can you tell me why this happened? Is my mold defective?

    • @ZoeyandVFam
      @ZoeyandVFam  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, did you place the mold in the hot oil until it was hot prior to dipping into batter? Usually if the mold is not hot enough the batter will stick on. Sometimes this happens with the first dip in batter but better with rest.

    Why wasn’t the cookie crunchy after it cooled down? Did I not cook it enough? I mean it was golden on color? So like how long is each cookie suppose to cook for? You only mention 30 seconds and each side? HELP.

    • @ZoeyandVFam
      @ZoeyandVFam  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, it could be related to temperature of the oil. Try cooking at medium high heat and longer. What I mention in video is after releasing the cookie from the brass mold let it cook for 30 seconds then flip. Let it cook 30 seconds on other side then flip again. Cook another 20-50 seconds until golden (time may vary on heat). Hope this helps.
