Sadly they probably spent more on World Rugby board member travel expenses. Why didn't WR embrace the online model they established with RWC 2019 that was pretty good coverage on YT.
Womens rugby has really improved tremendously in the last couple of years. I really enjoy the womens game. Some real skill in there.. well done ladies

Watched the highlights, wow what a game. NZ are absolutely brilliant to watch. Both Olympic champions Portia Woodman and Ruby Tui, absolutely fantastic players. Both were outstanding at the Olympics and they’ve transitioned to the 15’s game like a duck to water. Absolutely stunning try’s by the Black Ferns.

@@DarkMoonWayfarer that actually has more to do with Rugby Australia not paying the Wallaroos to play than to do with training.. the Australia players are just as fit and as well train as the black ferns and England players but are they willing to lay everything on the line when their counterparts are being paid to play, probably not.. anyways it’s time for these other rugby nations bosses to get serious and pay them!

Unfortunately, there are two other BF players who will let this team down when things get hard. They showed glimpses of mental weakness during this game.

Only watched the highlights, but saw multiple collars around the head but no cards given. Check the forearm to the face at 5:08. Given the officiating in the Men's games that would be a yellow card for sure.

Not bad. Needs to learn to transfer the ball to the other arm. Allblacks ex player Julian Saavea use to do the same and still managed to be selected. Watch Portia Woodman for the best example of how to do this in 2017 Woman’s Rugby World Cup against USA, you won’t regret it.

It would have great to see how the direct head-to-head contract by the Australian captain Shannon Parry was only a yellow compared to Kennedy Simon's contact against England in final (where people are saying that it warranted a red).

Pathetic. Opening game of the World Cup featuring the host nation and their Tasman rival and they can’t even sell out a small stadium. The Kiwis are only interested in the men’s team. Should have held it in Europe.
This was the largest crowd of all time for a women's rugby match, nearly doubling the previous record.
@@Bumble21 If that was at Twickenham or Parq du France, it would have been full. Some of the stadiums are absolutely provincial with grass slopes instead of stands on the sides! You show no respect for the teams.
There have been many wrwc held in Europe over the years. None have come close to Saturday's 34,000 in attendance.

South African women have very little interest in women's rugby. Bit of a stigma attached to it over here. They do enjoy the men's game though.
Women playing rugby especially in afrikaner tradition is a massive stigma. Although if boys don't play rugby in school you are called weak . Well that was in my days .
South African women have real potential if SA rugby invests proper money. Time to ditch the 19th century attitudes I think. It’s 2022; not 1822.
@@DarkMoonWayfarer There's the problem. Most women don't like to be referred to as beasts. We probably don't even have enough money to invest money in the men's game, which is incredibly popular. They will need a big investor to get it going, but don't know if they will find one locally.

I heard the governing bodies of rugby are going to allow NZ, OZ, and SA, to all play on one team when they face England its the only chance they have 45 v 15 sounds unfair I know ok lets have the Fiji woman in there as well 60 woman from the southern hemisphere v 15 English might just give England a game.
