"This was all dry land before he stepped in"
Broke me
Same, man. Same.
I too reside on brokeback mountain
When you know Patrick, tou kniw it's true
Which is even funnier considering that lake dried up not long after they finished filming.
How did you manage to get the quote wrong?
"Fun Fact: This was all dry land until he showed up." left me wheezing.😂 RIP Patrick Swayze, you made everything better.
Got that right.
*wetter
😂
Wade Garrett, I once watched him kill 3 men in a bar using nothing but his mustache.
I saw people get scammed for reverse mortgages by frank Regan's mustache
🤣😂🤣😂🤣
What kind of fucking guy kills people with a fucking MUSTACHE!?
Oh my Gawd! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣@@youknowwhoyouare2269
....and his voice. You can't forget the voice.
Sam Elliot was 75 at the age of 35 and stayed that age for the next 40 years.
He's the white version of Morgan Freeman.
You know...how is this even possible?
Patrick Swayze could have easily claimed to be Kurt Russell's younger brother and nobody would have doubted him.
Swayze's the only guy that made homoeroticism acceptable for hetero guys
@@youknowwhoyouare2269
Rip Patrick
One of my FAVORITE childhood legends! I AM Patrick Swayze-the documentary-is worth a watch! Very touching! 😢🙏🏾❤🕊️
@@Chuck_ELOne of the greatest triple threats in entertainment history! ❤
Swayze was only one year younger than Kurt!
In the 80s, bouncers WERE famous! The first place I saw Mister T was on a televised bouncer competition where they had to do bouncer things like toss drunks and identify fake IDs.
Nobody puts Patrick Swayze in the corner !!! Classic 😂
This comment/quote above needs more upvotes. Nobody
That old guy from Ghost Rider look exactly the same since 1989.
What a legend !!!
Sam Elliot never ages. He was born a crusty old bastard and will be that way 'til the day the world ends... a true legend
@@jarrodbright5231 Nah dude. He's secretly a time traveller from the wild west that decided to become an actor. Motherf***er probably rode with Jesse James.
His moustache makes him immortal.
@@jarrodbright5231 doesn't he also do the voice-over for coors beer?
@@teamAang87Yep. “Coors. The banquet beer.”
I didn't realize, till now, that the villain in _Roadhouse_ is Jackie Treehorn from _The Big Lebowski._
Omfg I was trying to place him! Thank you!
Also The Natrator is here too
Who is damn near the same character. It's like it's in his contract that for every role he gets to be a rich d-bag who's always hosting topless parties
@@АртемКельш-ч6ч The Lebowsky-Road House Universe unfolds. I need more entries.
Here's another one for ya: the guy who plays Jimmy (the ripped-out throat thug) played one of the shuttle pilots in Armageddon.
"a polar bear fell on me" is my new catchphrase
Holy crap that Sam Elliot impression was great! "Ah there I go. Ramblin' again"
Please Say: "A wiser fella than myself once said. Sometimes you eat the bar and sometimes the bar, well, he eats you"
Sam Elliot is Cowboy Buddha
Is that some sort of Eastern thing

I haven't laughed that hard since Jeff Goldblum was called the Wizard of Uhs!
@@sandboxsub333 Far from it dude
Wasn't it "Don't eat the little white man??" 😆😆
"Choking Hazard: Me" is perfect
This was all dry land until he showed up 😂😂😂😂😂
🌈😔If only I was born ten years earlier
"Nobody puts Swayze in a corner." So true.
My favourite guilty pleasure movie of all time.
It's like they took every single, overused 80s movie action trope and combined it into a single film to celebrate the end of an awesome decade.
i don't think I've ever heard a better description of Road House then that. 👍😅
If it's on I'm watching. Every time.❤
I hate to give this comment a thumbs up. That would take it from 89 to 90 😉🤣
Why is it a guilty pleasure, I fully enjoy it unironically out in the open. Even my gfs love this movie, albeit more because of Elliot & Swayze but still.
And Total Recall was probably the transition period
I actually smiled at “cute little smirks”. What power!
"From a director so rowdy, it's not even his middle name" I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything just then
The old man putting his hair back makes the joke in hot rod make sense sooo many years later!!!
I know its played to say "why remake something already perfect". But in this case it really is hard to one-up Swayze or even come close
It should be a law in Hollywood to not remake Swayze movies😤🤬
They can make it, but will they come?
I am kind of thinking of Field of Dreams. Not a Swayze film, but same year.
Build it and they will come.
This is a remake it, and it will flop. Maybe. It won't be nostalgia that fills the seats.
@@youknowwhoyouare2269Remembered the Point Break remake? Yeah, neither does anybody else.
No remake of a Swayze film will ever come close to the original. There's no beating Swayze. I could see there being declarations of war if anyone tried to remake Ghost or Father Hood and actually expect it to be any good.
A fun cheesy action flick with two redeeming factors, the great sounds of the Jeff Healey band, R.I.P. Jeff. Secondly the effortless cool Sam Elliott delivery. It's a guilty pleasure, one i watch whenever it's on. The soundtrack is great.
Sam Elliott is great in everything, even over-the-top dumb movies like this one!
I gotta give it up for "The Rural Fuhrer". That is a sweet 30 Rock Reference right there!
The Rurr Jurr.

Teacher: Why were you late for class today?
Me: A polar bear fell on me.
Bravo on the Sam Elliot impression.
Called ai 😂
Between JCVD, Patrick Swayze, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, and Steven Segal, you have a goon with crushed testicles, no throat and two broken arms getting slapped unconscious, roundhouse kicked twice, lectured in stereo on the teachings of the Buddha, shot from four directions with automatic weapons, choked to death with a chain, and thrown out of a window while exploding seven times. I have never been happier to not be an action movie villain from my childhood than I am right now.
Please say “May thy knife chip and shatter.”
YASSSSS!!!!!! ❤
If they ever said that in the remake, l would totally forgive them for making a remake.
I watched this for the first time in decades and didn't recall that pool stick pole vaulting scene being that hilarious.

"This was all dry land before he stepped in"
FACTS, Patrick Swayze has that effect on everyone, and he'll be missed dearly.
I love this movie since watching it on Netflix, and I'm a fan of him since then.
Ooh, it's on Netflix? Got to see it this weekend!
I will never be unable to read this movie title in anything but Peter Griffin’s voice.
I did read it in not Peter Griffin's voice. But I read your comment in his voice. Also my comment in his voice. So there's that.
_roadhouse!_
Of course my friend. Of course
I wonder how many people watched this movie because of Peter Griffin. ^^
"Ghost" 😂
I am proud to say that I saw this film in the theaters when it 1st came out!!!! The whole audience laughed, cheered and YES, the ladies in the room sighed pretty much whenever Patrick or Sam were getting their "Cool" on which was just about every other minute. I bought the soundtrack too, on cassette, LOL.. Now I OWN this classic film on DVD. The 1980s were the last hurrah for fun, pop-corn eating, silly, fantasy escapist movies. Nowadays, everything is so self-important and preachy, scared to tell jokes, be sexy or have some balls. I'm so glad that I have so much Old School cinema options to watch & enjoy. PEACE!
So you've never seen any of the 10 fast n furious movies??

@@paulcanning4702 Especially when Red, Kelly Lynch's uncle and the auto lot owner could barely stop themselves from that man's line. Hahah.
Tinker wasn't that bad a guy, he just fell in with a bad crowd.
I wonder if this movie will still be popular after everyone who grew up watching it is dead and gone. This is one of those movies truly of its time. We must pass it on to the next generation somehow.
I love that the dumb Katana quote lives on. 😂

Makes you wonder, why would i want to go see a remake, if i can just see this one ?
They’re doing a remake? 🤢
This can be easily attributed to almost every remake of anything and I wish the entertainment industries would start trying some original ideas again!!!
Connor McGregor actually makes it pretty damn entertaining. Watch him show up in other movies to come. The remake doesn’t have the same production value though.
@@Maidenless007 There are only so many possible ideas, and a lot of the original ones they do try, fail.
@@DaDude2011 McGregor was way over the top in the remake, and someone said in a comment that throughout the movie he looked like he was carrying telephone poles...after watching the movie, I have to agree, and it is hilarious when you've got that in your head while watching the movie.
Honest trailer for

Sheez! Now I’m disappointed he didn’t say those awesome catche phrases! “Choking hazard! Me!”
5:40 I'll betcha when ole Tinker retells that story that polar bear only became stuffed after their battle.
that Al Pacino line at the end was amazing!
"This was all dry land" was the first time I've actually laughed at an Honest Trailer in almost 2 years. This was fantastic and reminded me of the good ol days when I'd cackle at these things. Nicely done
This would have been the perfect time for a MacGruber throat rip compilation
I love that anytime Patrick or Sam could have been in danger during a stunt that Anthony was the one holding the knife/gun. Stunt Man/Actor/Fight Coord.
Watch it again and look at how large Patrick Swayze's head looks compared to his body.
OG Short King indeed. 😆
Mr Skin has a view of Swayze's Head and it looks large compared with the rest of his body
@@youknowwhoyouare2269 Yeah. It's an easy way to tell how tall an actor is in film. Once you start looking for it, you'll notice. Of course, you can also compare a guy's height with his female co-stars in the right shots. It's surprising how many male actors are shorties.
I looked it up. He was 5'11", 2" taller than an average American man.
@@null6634 I see mentions of between 5'6" and 5'11". Yet why did his head look the size of Andre The Giant in comparison? Mullet effect? Lots of guesses involved.
Plenty of actors lie about their height and the number ends up on IMDB or wherever. You don't really know until you meet one -- and even then he might have the special shoes.
Ok, but why is Patrick Swayzy’s smirks so perfect?!??
You know how you can tell times have changed? The tough heavy in the original film was a pro wrestler, and in the remake he’s an MMA fighter.
Who was the pro wrestler?
@@jonathanw1019 Morgan was played by Terry Funk. An absolute legend in pro wrestling.
To me, that's a downgrade. I used to be a wrestling fan, and while it is "stupid fun", its at least done by charismatic performers that know how to entertain. Most MMA fighters, while doing actual fighting, aren't actors. So, no matter how much they think they're better than pro wrestlers, they're fighters. Not performers.
@@rodgerlang884RIP.
Terry Funk was not charismatic or threatening. He portrayed a dad bod hick. Conor should be WAY better in a crazy way, and I am not a McG fanboy. And Funk was just one of the generic goons, not the tough heavy.@@MikadoYuma
The whole movie is mullets and bar fights. I’ve watched it at least 20 times. I love it.
One of the greatest movies ever made.
Patrick Swayze is a legend gone far too soon.
"Bars that turn into the purge at the drop of a beer", that stuff is pretty standed normal where I come from, one moment you cheering at the winning team, next moment your face first into the pool table from the rival team.😑
I'm sending Willie Lopez to your location, stay right there
@@youknowwhoyouare2269 so far things going somewhat well....BUT WE NEED MORE MEN!!!!!!

Somehow I never knew Road House existed until I was 15 vacationing in Nicaragua in summer '97. I must have watched it like 20 times that summer. Immediately "liberated" a copy from my Blockbuster when I got back stateside, that I still have to this day.
Motivating your friend by hitting on that same friend's girlfriend was so much more dangerous than driving that spontaneously exploding car or clearing your throat with the help of the Throat Goat.
I didn't flinch when my friend's girlfriend stepped out of the shower in only a towel, wonder how she'd react to news that I'm a throat goat now
Another fun fact: at 7:20 that's the late Chris Latta, the original voice of Starscream and Cobra Commander in the flesh.
