Discovering this movie on vhs was on of the best feeling ever. Me and my friends watched it so many times.
if you were a male born between 1980 and 1990... this entire film is committed to memory and considered a sacred viewing document.
I still have it on VHS and the player to go with it. 😅
Watching this and, Remo Williams: The adventure begins, with my dad were two of the best bonding experiences we've ever enjoyed!
It's admirable how Van Damme can still do splits in his 60s.

for me, Bloodsport is the one movie thats gets the message 'strength comes from within' across the best. I also love the theme of honoring your mentor.

Like why they are mad at him, it makes no sense before the final fight.
I think it's more like it's OK to kill someone in the fight but doing it after you've clearly already incapacitated them is distasteful.
Thank you Honest Trailers for never losing your touch and making us laugh for all these years. But most importantly, for never letting the “Alan” scene from Jurassic Park 3 ever be forgotten.

One time I was in the storage room for all the Mechanical Engineering Senior Design Projects. One had a complex truss structure made up of 2 x 4s. One of the planks was lying horizontal. I first saw this movie around the time Snopes was new and blowing everyone's minds, watching this with my buds and being amazed by Dux, then reading up on him straight after was one of the funniest things ever
I just love the part about how a 60-round, single-elimination tournament would have had something like 27 quadrillion people in it.
This honest trailer made me want to watch Bloodsport again after years! Thank you, guys!

I was so scared we had seen the last of "Alan". This brings a smile to my face.
Every time I close my eyes I see it. The island will always haunt you.
You can worry if Hollywood ever decides to never film another airplane scene or bad dream scene, but until then...
I still use the line "Very good, but brick not hit back.". That movie is an absolute classic.
That line just riffs off Bruce Lee's line "boards don't hit back" in Enter the Dragon (1973) - which also starred Bolo Yeung - when O'Hara smashes a short plank.
This is one of my all-time favorite episodes and there have been so, so many great ones.

Jean Claude Van Johnson is basically the finest film made by this dude.
They only did 1 season...yet the comedy and stunts in that form is just epic. I truly love that show. The amount of self awareness and the absurd premise is beyond inspired.
I rewatched thismovie last year and its still badass. It sucks that we dont get these types of movies anymore.
Definitely a fun one in Van Damme's catalogue of movies. Especially for the faces the fighters make.

Epic Voice Guy's rendition for the MORTAL KOMBAT scream was spot on. My brain kept waiting for the sweet music. In fact, I'm going to listen to it now.
I've never seen Bloodsport but I had to pause this video several times because I was laughing so hard. Now I have to watch it!

Yeah, this movie was so awesome and the characters were so iconic, we ignore Frank Dux for being a complete troll. Maybe that's why this movie worked so well because it was completely made up!

This is the #1 martial arts movies ever made, I met Frank Dux onetime. He seemed nice and took a picture. Don't know if he ever did anything he says he did but Bloodsport is great.

"Okay USA!" is one of the few movie lines I have had everyone recognized when using it randomly in day to day events.
Someone watched this closely to catch both the Giants thing and the guy falling in the wrong direction.
Guy falling in the wrong direction is one of my favorite moments of this film.
