  • Just about 12 miles north of Kremmling, Colorado a hidden paleontological wonder is waiting to be explored: The Kremmling Cretaceous Ammonite Locality. Acres and acres of Ammonite, Baculite, and Clam fossils await the rock and fossil hound. In this episode, I explore the protected area of the site, and then I go outside of the protected area and collect fossil Ammonites, Baculites, and a Clam or two. And be sure to watch til the end for a surprise snowman...in JULY.

Living in Steamboat Springs I've been to that Ammonite protected site 4-5 times. Its an amazing location! And yes, mid summer can be quite buggy! Fall is a good time.

Sorry it bothers you. I come from an entertainment and film background, most productions have a soundtrack. Some love it, some don't.
