Mosquito net is a great idea. Even if you're not wearing it when running and gunning, you need to prepare for your downtime and if you're sleeping outside at night, you're going to be VERY popular among the dudes if you have a spare mosquito meet or two, lol
It’s an awesome find and it has saved me multiple times from insanity
@@barrelandhatchetGod bless you and just pointing out the major scam section I watched emerge in less than 20 minutes. I’m sure you see it and can’t do anything. It’s the 75k bi weekly scam

Wow I'm amazed others here know about Mis English sir Name Genericson! I'm a Wal-Mart greeter, and she has helped my increase my savings to 3 million dollars a month!
@@Colonel1Bravo I just took it down thank for those who pointed it out
We called that a "sit upon". Not just for morale but a last ditch layer of insulation. You can sit up against a tree and be insulated from the freezing ground. If light conditions permit, A poncho and candle in that position can keep you from freezing.
As far as I know the sitting pad, which I assume is a translation from Russia, began in the Afghan or Chechen Wars where the SOP for mechanized troops was to ride on top of BTRs and BRDMs because they were RPG death traps inside.
I've seen videos of it being used in the trenches in the Ukraine War.
Loved your msg at the end. Don't stress, God will take care of you. Reminds me of something I heard years ago, "Worry is the sin of not trusting in God." After that, i never worry, God has my six.
(^^) 💯
I didn't own any gear last year because I thought the cost to buy in was so high, until I discovered things like the taps rig and buying used carriers etc. Now I'm almost all set. I just need a belt mounted ifak and I'll be good to go as far as belt plate carrier and chest rig.
My 5 kids are truly my biggest blessing, they saved my life and I believe God knew I needed that purpose in my life to make myself care about more than what I want in the moment.
God bless you all
Well, make sure you train with your gear. Know how to use it.
The AR setup is awesome. I’m somewhat tired of seeing all the Porsche 911 Turbo AR systems. Old school, simple and durable is what I’m after.
its def an amazing vibe for sure
It's literally the same thing just with a carry handle lol
@@BrooklynNick718 I was saying the exact thing whats the point of having a carry handle upper if your gonna put a red dot and a picatinny rail hand guard on

15:52 the 5.56 bandolier is absolutely perfect for guerrilla warfare. Load it with mags, perform a convoy ambush, E&E, if you can't evade dump your cheap bandolier and act like a non-combatant.
It does the same job as an expensive rig, but has the ability to be ditched with no real loss. That's incredibly valuable
Having a hard time right now with smaller hardships in severity, but many in quantity.
Appreciate any prayers
Praying for you, man. Seek out the Lord Jesus in this time and ask for peace and faithfulness to Him. I can't promise the hardships will go away, but I can promise that the hardships will feel lighter if you lean into God more and more. Have faith and heed His guidance.
Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Many men have stumbled over pebbles, but never over mountains. Give that some thought. Lighten your load one pebble at a time.
Prayers sent. Keep your spirits up the best you can. Don't self-sabotage. Forge ahead. Be careful when making decisions. Believe in yourself. Hypothetically, it may be a lot of work to chop down a large tree with an axe but if you keep at it, eventually the tree will fall. Work hard but work smart, too. Good luck!
Done
God has a plan for you ✝️
You wouldnt be who he wants you to be without first going through these hardships and trials
A sword doesnt become a weapon without first being thrust into the fire

M81 Woodland Camo: From experience and actually having been issued this pattern here are my opinions: Unissued or newer stuff is nice to find but getting harder. If you are in very wet environments or just sweat a lot this pattern when new and colors are not desaturated tends to appear much darker when wet. Because of the large splotches of darker brown and black in the pattern it tends toward black when wet. Not good if you’re in a low contrast (non-shadowy) but very green or brown environment. Repeated washes and sun-fading helps reduce this over time. It’s a good pattern and I have nostalgia for it. But it, like all other patterns, has strengths and weaknesses. Looking almost like a charcoal silhouette in non-faded M81 that gets soaked from sweat, rain or river crossings is one drawback I personally noted from my time in the army.
ALICE Gear: if you use the canteens, always have two. In a pinch, one can be used to collect suspect water, the other to drink out of once you have made it potable. This assumes you don’t carry purpose made collection vessels or all-in-one bag type filtration systems. Also carry two cups. One is to cook in or boil water for food, coffee, etc. There was time when MREs did not have ration heaters in them. We’d boil water, take it off the flame then set the sealed food packet in the water for a few minutes to warm - never boil an MRE packet. The other cup is for making coffee, cocoa, Kool-Aid or whatever drink you want. It’s a morale thing to not have your ramen flavored with MRE coffee aftertaste and your hot cocoa not have a twang of spicy Korean mix packet from the ramen. You can also use one of the cups to collect your water instead of a canteen or to boil suspect water but I’d use the other one for actual consumption until I could properly clean the one used for collecting/sterilizing. Also carry and use electrical tape or something similarly strong. We used it as a way to eliminate ringing metal on metal contact the clips made if you bumped something. You also need to tape the clips to lock them. ALICE clips are very sturdy and last a long time. But with enough weight on them and enough times humping with them they can loosen up. The tape prevents this or can be a field-expedient fix.
BONUS: If you have a helmet as a piece of gear keeping sweat out of your eyes might be an issue. I’ve found one thing that hands down beats bandanas, Buffs, rags, and balaclavas if you are not worried about covering your face are welders’ caps. They are very light, thin skull caps meant to be worn under welders hoods. They are inherently fire resistant, cheap and you can find them at welding supply stores, Tractor Supply/Rural King, online and almost anywhere that sells any kind of welding supplies. I recommend the fitted ones over the ones with elastic because you tend to feel the elastic once you put on a helmet. They can be had in solid, natural, muted colors or commercial camo patterns. They pack smaller than the other items I mentioned and can be wring out easily when soaked.
What a blessing you are. To use this channel for ministry is such a blessing. I love watching the training and weapon and gear videos, but the fact that you are witnessing and teaching viewers about Christ is great. I just hope that everyone watches the entire video and gets the message. Matthew 10:32. You will be blessed brother.
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the support Mark!
I have my old HSGI belt i incorporated into a rebuild of my H-harness LBE i used in recon while stationed in Vicenza MANY moons ago.
It works...Well.
I am a old Marine I was issued Alice and 782 and I still use it today. Trust in God and the Constitution. Keep your powder dry and your eye on the target God bless you and Semper Fidelis from Arizona
The little ones are our blessings, protect them with your all 🙏
The bandoleers have the white string for 20 round mags initially; expandable to 30 rounders to your point.
Extra gear can be made into "cache stash bags" and buried along your bug out route "way points" for resupply or to have if you lose your gear to get you to your bug out location.
Great video man! Thanks for being so humble. God bless and peace be with you.
The ending was the best part .
I pray to become closer to god and Jesus and not stray away from our lord . I really needed that , god bless you guys and thank you for everything you do
DIY waterproofing:
LeakSeal (flexible rubber sealant) from Home Depot in clear form to spray on my outer clothes, bedding, backpacks, boots, accessories to waterproof them; much cheaper and plentiful to use
For the people in the north. Level 1 and Level 2 ECWCS. Wool watch caps, wool liner gloves, and the extreme weather mittens.
I really love kislux bags. The fabric is very good. The golden embellishments add a touch of beauty. When I went to the church, I received some praise.
Claymore pouch can hold; 4-5 mags per side, a 2 mag pouch med kit like the TT one and a 16oz water bottle fit in each pocket, USGI canteen with cup and stand fits and 6 grenades. So you could carry 12 frags, 10 magazines, a med kit water bottle and 5 mags, 5 mags and 6 frags etc etc etc.
Claymore bags for extra ammo, trifold medic bags to attach to assault packs to carry extra medical for the team, milbank bags to help pre filter water for water filtration (these were the OG water filters for soldiers for centuries btw) and a military canvas water bucket.
Water sources are major ambush points. Being at one for the shortest amount of time is essential and using a canvas water bucket to quickly scoop a lot of water up and go elsewhere to filter is a good thing. The canvas slow leaks so it can be used as a less efficient milbank bag, or even better use both!
Carrying binoculars is often overlooked. Carry them in an easy access pouch.
Cylume stick shield lets you carry an activated light stick but can cover the glow and has an adjustable opening to determine how much light is exposed according to need.
Sniper veil can double as a mosquito net and a shemagh
And finally a WHISTLE!!!!
Before everybody had baofengs, individuals carried whistles. Just watch old ‘NAM flicks where in the heat a gun fight the NVA/VietCong used whistles to coordinate with each other
First time visiting your channel, I've got to say, great job!! I also work at a military surplus store in Gulfport MS and we just got some new surplus stuff in!! And I've a greatful believer of the power of Christ! Thank you
Been using a FLC set up to be used as a chest rig. Works well enough and dirt cheap.
I have several set up for different weapons - shotgun, pistol, etc. Slips over slick PC well if needed.
Getting the old HSGI padded belts that we all used to have back in 2015 is the way to run a belt kit, get some suspenders like the spiritus lbe expander kit and you can make that kit what it should be since it doesn’t work well with a 34A.
Also, the earlier LBVs have vertical mag pouches which I prefer. The later, 'improved' LBV has angled pouches. Frankly the Dutch LBV is the best.
Something I do is keep a combat load ready to go for each rifle in the ammo can bandoliers. Each gun has its own ammo it likes best for the job it has so, grab a rifle and the bandolier that go's with it. After that I just use a good ammo they all like with the secondary zero already figured out.
Every long gun has at least a shoulder bag as a complement. Spare mags/ammo, cleaning kit/lube and the 10 essentials of outdoor gear at a minimum. Most of this is hanging around the house anyways do it costs me time to organize it together. A possible bag that will support the gun that would support me hunting, on the trap line or other activities. Right down to the single shot 22.
As a former regular ass infantry scout I can say I love to spray paint shit lol! I did exactly as you say with the ACU gear. I bought 3 ACU ruck sacks with everything included (sustainment pouches / frame) for a little over $100 bucks! There was minor skuffs and what not, but everything servicable. I painted them rattlecan style with the tried and true laundry bag & leaves pattern. It's not as nice as having a brand new multicam ruck, but did I mention I got x3 of them for a lil over $100? You'd be lucky to get a single multicam ruck for that :) I actually like the rattlecan look anyway TBH.
Just a CDAT and 19D here, what paint did you use? I never found spray painted gear, other than a rifle to work with out standing out at night. I run NODs with a thermal clip on.
I rattle can everything, from cheap packs to expensive optics, it's an addiction
@@jb7483 There are 'flex' spray paints out now for materials like patio cushions, shade tarps and other flexible materials. The paint dries with a less 'stiff' texture. You can also dye gear - new products out for that too. Effective against NODs - not likely.
You'd think Multicam/OCP/MARPAT has 'gold' in it for what they charge! Really don't understand it. Maybe IR rated or something? Like you I'll stick with 'like new' UCP/ACU pattern and save a couple hundred bucks! 'Rattle on' bro!
If you don't mind combining country surplus, the LBV88 or the molle medic vest do pair pretty well with the British PLCE belt and belt pad. And if you have alice clips you can link molle to the belt more sturdy than with trying to loop molle straps or malice clips
So you scored a MOLLE ARMY MEDIC VEST too did ya? 👍They're very rare. I just got one from Gibson's outside Fort Benning, GA. Ordered online - heck of a nice guy! Anyway I call the medic vest the 'SUPER Enhanced LBV-88' as it uses MOLLE to attach pouches 'anywhere' versus the sewn on non AR P-Mag fitting mag pouches of the original. I use it for the AK loadout. Best feature of both is the ability to run an ALICE or any belt through the loops on the bottom - vest becomes a harness and you can really load the belt down.
Ive found that my favorite pack for use with the LBV-88 or regular LC-2 suspenders is the M81 2-day assault pack, although as Eric said some stuff in M81 is getting up there in price.
I just started with this kinda stuff, just got a bandolier for 6 more mags, I’ve got four in my chest rig
Btw, anybody in Milwaukee Wisconsin or the surrounding area, hmu
@@Wings_For_The_Weekends Check out practiscore. Schultz rod and gun club in Muskego has carbine matches throughout the year. Its kind of random as they pop up. TPP matches in Racine give you an opportunity to run more kit and even at night in the fall and winter months. Eagle shooting range in Cudahy has indoor training sessions during the week.
I really appreciate y’all sharing Christ, keep it up
Replace side strings with shock cord for lbv88 will give added flex
And the plastic cam locks are worthless. Just tie the cordage .
That's a damn good tip - thanks!
Some good advice and an altar call to boot. Good combo
Keep it up brother! Awesome use of the platform you have been given!
The old Chicom Type 56 AK chest rig is a good el-cheapo chest rig that can go over a slick carrier or BDUs. I modified mine with velcro patches on the flaps and a buckle from a dog collar on the waist strap. I haven't done this, but you could also spray paint it easily to make it camo.
Best bandoleer is the British MTP ammo bag if you can find them in the USA, you can import them from the UK total last month was 25.00
Thank you for sharing Truth at the end, its a breath of fresh air!
On canteens, they are cheap enough, just buy new ones. If you put drink mix in them be sure to wash them out after use. The drink mixes have sweeteners in them and that can promote mold growth after a few days if you aren't using them. If it will be a while between uses add a couple tablespoons of mouthwash to keep them "fresh". Just pour out the mouthwash before filling them again.
The Pilot LBV is the best. Just straps across the back. (you can have a back pack) Molle on the sides and the front, unzips easily. 40 bucks all day long. Rugged, and made to hold together after ejection. You can mount anything on it. Thank me later. Its also mesh for the summer
Literally went to the Saint Pope John Paul II Shrine today in DC, and his speech when he took over as pope was how he could be a better Servant to All of God's Servants. Lots of cool ideas on kit, and already building a list on Ebay and gonna build a bunch of buddy kits! Cheers, Brother! Great Video!
Came here to learn about surplus gear and left with my heart and mind refocused and God 🙏
Thanks so much for being here
Those 5.56 ammo bandoliers can hold one M14 magazine per slot too for those 7.62 boys.
Good on you for sharing the word of the Father
a good TAPS rig and a couple USMC sustainment pouches is a great way to gear up for under $100.
Seating pad is heavily underrated. One of the things not to many gear channels take into account is morale. When you’re cold, wet, hungry, weary from fighting, you are going to need something to keep you sane. Not sitting my ass on the wet morning dirt or grass will help that.
Edit: “the little things become big”
Really appreciate you sharing your faith, brother! It's nice to see that there are other warrior types passing on the mantle of leadership to others. It is refreshing to know that at 60 years old I'm not the only one who thinks this way and is preparing for whatever mat happen as the Father prompts me to. Love old school gear.
Keep up the good work and keep sharing the faith!
The Lord is a warrior. He prepares my hands for battle and finger for war. (Paraphrased)
I’ve been digging the idea of vests more and more lately. (And anything m81)
Hurry - don't hesitate! I've been buying mil-surp gear for a few years now (for use - not a collector) and the M81 'God's Plaid' is really drying up. You can still find USGI Woodland if you're diligent with online surfing the surplus retailers. Otherwise you'll be paying an eBay 'reseller' way too much. They're sucking the market dry and real soon eBay will be the only place to find good ol' Woodland. The vest he was referring to - LBV-88E ('Enhanced' with the slanted mag pouches) amazingly is quite available ($40).
If you can find them, USMC bandoliers with molle on the back are the best so the back side doesn’t go unused.
I was ahead of my time in the late 80s rocking a sweet Jimmy Z fanny pack. I kept my truck tool, spare bearings and T bolts in there. Wish I still had it.
I keep a variety of kit. I have an old school LBE with accessories. I have aplate carrier. I have a chest rig for both an AR9 and AR15. It's taken awhile, but having the variety allows me to choose gear based on any type of scenario. Great video! Thanks
As far as I know the sitting pad, which I assume is a translation from Russia, began in the Afghan or Chechen Wars where the SOP for mechanized troops was to ride on top of BTRs and BRDMs because they were RPG death traps inside.
That is why I stuck with my 782 gear and ALICE pack. best advice in that realm is from my dad, stick with what I know how to and trained to use. Although I did add the LBV88 vest, the vest goes with the 782 gear. Yes I"am a Marine Corps veteran and former Grunt.
Great message at the end. Thanks for sharing it!
Outstanding video. Thanks for posting and testifying. Soldier on.
Didn't come here for a sermon, but I am thankful for it. Love and fear the Lord, depart from evil.
I favor FLIC gear for pretty much the reasons you've given ... The MOLLE lets me stack pouches ... I wear soft armor in a compression vest and if I need my plates I drop a slick carrier over the top ... Traded the back plate for a camelback and molle an alice belt to the vest ... it's where the IFAC, 2 canteens, drop leg, a couple admin pouches, dump pouch, & mag pouches live ... So when I drop my ruck I'm far from naked ... Load out still wieghts around 130 but carries better ... I've also got many bandoliers... Been looking for the bug net hat ...
Good mag pouches for the d60 are the usgi surplus canteen pouches. Fit great
I found an IOTV with ballistic inserts 2 mag pouches and a frag pouch for $200
I've had good luck spray painting the ACU mag pouches, the used ones take and hold the paint a little better, but the new ones work just as well, and like you said, they are dirt cheap.
That eotech on the carry handle is a vibe
Love the American Pathfinders crest!
Thank you for sharing the word. May God Bless You Brother!
I use my old Web Gear from the Corps, It's Perfect for today's loadouts and can hold a Shit-Ton of Mags!
Replacing the shoulder pads of the LBV with a standard H-harness (I like the old M1967) makes it far more comfortable and it doesn't chafe the neck. Also, other countries like Korea and the Netherlands copied it, and they are even cheaper than US versions. The S. Korean version is VERY lightweight, and the Dutch version is the best IMO because it has a sort of MOLLE panel rather than stitched on pockets. It also can take the older web belt gear because it has grommets as well. Very versatile, and a decent camo pattern. I run Coyote USMC pouches on it, and use the RH one under my armpit for my sidearm. This will work well with any G19 size weapon although 1911s are a little too long and heavy. A shorter barrelled 1911 should fit though.
Portable butt pad! Genius!
AMEN Christian Brother. My mother suffered with Cancer for 10 years. She told me that she had a picnic with her father that passed away 30 years before with cancer. She said there was a Beautiful river with a Lion laying with a Lamb. She said there was a Angel in the room that was protecting her.The next day she went to Heaven with a Peaceful look on her face. I will see her again one day when the good LORD Calls me home. Thank you for being a Warrior for GOD.
This sounds like a generational curse. There is a lot of information for to break this curse so you, or your children don't get cancer
A uber cool camo that is cheep is the ABU tigerstripe
Yes sir! Works great in the southwest desert terrain - just like it is. A little hard to find here (Ironically - the southwest. We have an AF base here too! Go figure.)

I had both the ALICE Y-suspenders and later the LBV, the LBV was much more comfortable. while the Y-suspenders always left a sharp pain in the middle of my back.
One thief surplus has a deal on a 1qt canteen, cup and stove with a UCP canteen pouch for 22.99.
Do you have a video on mindset? I hear it all the time but it hasn't been explained. May GOD expand your ministry across the world!!! Thank you for sharing that you would be an ear for rough times! MAY GOD bless you and your family/company.
Love the Mathew parable. God bless you brother.
I pray about the gear I choose and the Lord led me to the M81 LBVE-88 for $25 with belt. Since then I've added a bunch of MOLLE ammo, canteen & GP pouches for next to no money, and that are excellent for what I need.
Thanks for bringing attention to this older gear that has a lot of life left in it.
More importantly, thank you for spreading the word about a God who gives life and gives it abundantly!
Interesting video. Information about military equipment combined with religion. You Americans amaze me. What you are facing in the US, is a problem of the western world and now even we have to prepare for the worst. In case of an invasion, I would be pretty close. If you can´t escape anymore, you have to fight. The mountains in my area are perfect for ambushes and guerillia warfare. Napoleon learned his lesson here already. So, I need to learn from you guys pretty fast. The fighting spirit is not the problem but my fitness, my knowledge and my shooting skills. Times changed and the knowledge from my grandpa about ww2 combat does not help me against drones, infrared, satelites and other modern stuff. Thanks for the video!
I'm a huge fan of the Eagle industries H harness. I prefer belt kit vs chest rig and you can still find some for ~$50
I’ve always said look at military surplus the same way your girlfriend looks at your hoodie. A little older and worn, but it’s comfortable and inexpensive. Thank you for bringing the love to the old LBV; had one for years. In a world of chest rigs, be a LBV!
ALICE gear, all the way. And I don't see myself "running and gunning" like a 3-gun competition. Cover and concealment.
Absolutely great love there ending❤😂😊
Amen on your message brother. Subbed!
Good pointers and Amen brother.

always good to hear you man. thankful for you
Cheapest LBE I’ve found is the British DPM from Kommando Store. It’s like $50
God Bless you, brother!!!
Keep on bringing the word of God.That's what we've been commanded to do
Thank you for the video and the prayer.
I'm a Southpaw(left eye domonite)also but I use a left eject AR.
Although I use both its just nice not having that eject in your face.
Hope to book training with you guys soon
The marine corps speed mag holders are great.
They aren't surplus, but the nalgene oasis canteen style bottles are pretty solid options for a surplus canteen replacement. They don't have the canteen flavor (IFYKYK), and they're somewhat translucent so you can see if there's funky stuff going on in there or just where you're at on water. As far as the NBC canteens go, I doubt nalgene has those. However, these canteens are the same size and shape, they fit in the canteen pouches with no issues.
Hey brother. Really appreciate how you put God in the forefront of your content. I’d ask that you pray for me and my girl. I’m more like you in my mindset and general MO. She’s not so sure on spiritual matters or even her understanding on the current environment of the world. But she trusts and follows me. I just pray that I can be used to influence her and my community well and for God, that I can protect us should it come to that, and that I can be wise as I try to guide us towards truth. Appreciate all you do and appreciate any prayers.
Condor stuff and highland tactical have outlived their expectations by ridiculous margins
I have several FLC rigs. I think they are better than the LBV in that they are more modular. You can get a Coyote Brown one and pouches for about the dame coin as the LBV.
Im so glad I came upon your channel a couple months ago. I'm talking to God again, he is giving me that peace your talking about. Thank you.
The more I hear about the lord and scripture the more I like this channel bless all of u my brothers
God bless you for the short sermon at the end. It was totally unexpected.
The old school military surplus is all I use
Only down side to the snap bandoleers is you can’t close it with two pmags
