I would not even put 5-guys on the list. they are trash for me. something about their oil bothers me in taste and smell. so no can do that chain at all. tried it several times because of how many people brag about them. but they are horrid. There are some amazing small chains I'd put on the list if they were larger, but they were tiny in the Dallas area (Brahms and JC Burger house) but then in general, it's hard to get bad quality burgers or steak in the Dallas area because of the amazing farm to table supply chain they have there, always fresh food.

I think the best burger I ever has was 5 guys, it was pricey but GOOOD! I had the double cheeseburger bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onion. I worked at Mcdonalds years ago and the reason they don't smash a patty is because if you smash, the natural greases are forced out and ending in a dry patty. It was savers the taste of the patty so that is the reason. I did try the smokey bacon double cheeseburger with Lettice, onion and tomato and i was pleased with it, well it did come from McDonalds.
This list sort of ends in the middle. There's a distinct difference between Fast Food places with a drive through and Fast Casual places like Five Guys. And if you're including those not having Fatburger on this list is a crime.

If you want to review the best from Burger King try the Bacon King with lots of bacon,american cheese Bacon Stacker which the Stacker sauce tasting like a Mac Sauce and Checkers the Baconzilla with Mayo,ketchup,lots of bacon, and cheese. For Wendy’s either get Son of a Baconator or Baconator with lots of crispy bacon,cheese,mayo,and ketchup. I have to agree that no Carl’s Jr. on here which gives a huge burger on the West Coast and is delicious. I’d sneak blue cheese dressing on my burger from their salad bar to top on my burger since I’m from Buffalo,NY. BTW McDonald’s does fresh beef for the Quarter Pounders now so the burgers are juicier if you order some semblance of a Bacon Cheeseburger. I love 5 Guys Burgers and Fries as my number one but it is quite expensive.
Imo Wendy's burgers are not as tasty as they used to be. In the past they were were mouth watering juicy and fresh. Now they seem drier almost like they've been sitting on the grill
You guys said Culver's had the best burgers. I went there today and their double bacon butter burgers weren't anything to write home about. Expensive and boring. Their fries were the type you can buy at the grocery store for $2 for 2 lbs. Crinkle cut and soggy. Had better a Burger King.
I'm glad they put Steak n Shake in here, but to be honest, it is to high on this list. And I'll reserve my opinion on Shake Shack, What a burger, and Smashburger until they are in my area. Sorry Shake Shack, but the Airport and anything outside of my county doesn't qualify as "close".
