London to CAIRO, EGYPT 🇪🇬 and ST. REGIS HOTEL

- Off to EGYPT!!!
This was a trip that was supposed to happen a month ago! Unfortunately, Raul did not have enough time left on his passport to get the visa. But we are finally ready to head to Cairo for several days in north and south Egypt!
We started our travels at a nearly empty JFK airport in New York City. From NYC we flew to London where we purchased what we thought would be a business class upgrade on British Airways. Unfortunately they performed a bait and switch at last moment-more to come on that in a later video.
We flew from London to Cairo, and proceeded relatively easily through security before heading to our hotel in Cairo-the brand new St. Regis Hotel, right on the Nile River!
Before bed we went to the Singaporean restaurant in the lobby called, Tianma, marked by 6 giant horse sculptures at the entryway-check it out toward the end of the video.
The long journey to Egypt left us quite exhausted and therefore we went to bed quite early after dinner.
Stay tuned for the next video where we walk around Cairo, and head to the Egyptian Museum to see the Mask of King Tut!

Absolutely enjoy your videos. They are candid, show travelers the current state of things, post pandemic and inspire us to get back out there! That stinks that your upgrade became a downgrade. Thanks for the tip on the e visa. Did they give you any issues with your camera gear? What a long journey!!
Cedric had to stay home (the drone) because they told me I couldn't even bring it through the airport. Camera equipment other than that was fine. I was told I couldn't bring it into the pyramid (wait to see if I did...) but yeah, the British Airways fiasco is gonna be featured in another video. Stay tuned!

We would LOVE to! I planned a trip a few years back to Kathmandu and Lukla, but the trip fell apart and I never made it there. I would love to see Nepal though!
