The baby python party going on there in your play pen is just the cutest thing i have seen all day today.. loved that
Python party in the playpen! Sounds like the best party ever 🥺🤣
Awww, cute baby noodles! We love our playpen for the babies. I recommend it to all my snake loving friends. Congrats to everyone that will be welcoming one of these snakelets home in the near future!
I agree! I’ve got one and Marie & Darwin love it. I can’t put them in it together anymore because Darwin would try and mate but they enjoy it separately
Question: only ball pythons? Will it jeep in a Mexican Black Kingsnake?
@@loriw2661 same question....
Hey Bob, The playpen you use with all those different new objects for them to explore is really cool. It looks like they like hanging out there for a while. Another great, informative video. Ball pythons really starting to grow on me.
It’s so cool to see my beautiful little girl. She’s such a gorgeous Clown-Pied and I’ve got her new enclosure all ready for her! And Lane Labs has her food on its way❤
Edit: Oops. Layne, not Lane🤣
Hopefully she'll be ready to go for you this week!
Good luck with that baby menace 😆 She's beautiful!
@@toliscy Thank you! I’m so excited!
Bob!! I saw snake discoverys latest video: You still have a slight chance to join the build of 2024! CONGRATULATIONS!! I have my fingers crossed for your second chance, you deserve it!!
Thanks, I hope Elle is available to go but if she isn't I'll be happy to be there
I went to my first reptile show yesterday. It was the first time I had ever touched, much less held a snake, chameleon, and Satan’s gecko! Lol, sorry for triggering all the gecko fans. They are super cute but I have ptsd and it jumped right onto my chest. I didn’t scream, but we moved along quickly after it was retrieved from my person. I held a baby hognose that is a little spastic for my comfort. I held two baby ball pythons and I fell in LOVE! When we’re ready, I have no doubt that balls are for me! I held one who fell asleep on me. If I had an enclosure set up, she would have gone home with me. You, Snake Disc., and Clint’s Reptiles gave me the confidence to quash my snake fears! Thank you!💚🐍
Congratulations, best of luck with your upcoming snake!
Zachariah and I watched together. Very fun to see all the babies in the playpen. They are so beautiful! 😊
Thanks Mom! I'm glad you were able to watch it with him :-)
New father to a 1.5yr normal ball python.. Glad i found your channel, regert it wasn't sooner. Ive learned a little so far with lots lots more to come.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
That normal baby is super cute. I really love the colours of wild type BP. So underrated
Thats my favorite too. But i really love the ones w the white too. Don't know the name... i THINK pied.
8:44 - I think normals can be some of the coolest looking BPs. And that is damned near perfect. Thanks for showing.
I got my first ball python about a 9 days ago and fed her for the first time today and she ate!!! I fed her a f/t adult mouse using your tips and it worked! Thanks for the videos, I’ve learned a lot and continue to learn from them!
That's great, congrats on your new snake!
Number 1 is my girl!! Yay! So excited to see her!
She'll be ready to go soon!
@@GreenRoomPythons I am super happy you are working with her right now. She looks amazing!
@@matthewtracy8744 she's a bit of a challenge but she should be somewhat settled down by the time you get her :-)
Omg do you have an update on her? I’m getting my first BP in the next couple of weeks and she is also a female. I heard females are more feisty 😆💕
@Kxdmia she still has an insane feeding response, but only when the smell of rat is in the air. She is so calm now! And getting big! She's just shy of 700g now.
HOLY COW it is awesome to see how much the channel has grown. I remember when the patreon list was smaller and it was easier to find my name 🤣 but so stoked to see you getting all the support and hype you deserve!!!!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! I am super thankful for the people that support the channel :-)
Thank you for explaining your playpen method! I've seen a few people trying to advocate for cohabbing and it always seems to be people with habitats that are almost too small for one, let alone multiple animals...and little to no stimulus other than 'multiple hides' and the actual number never stated.
I really enjoyed seeing the care you put into socializing and providing for your little ones. I'm glad I saw your yt and gave a follow!
Glad you enjoyed this one!
The first baby striking is so adorable
Very interesting video, I haven't seen any other breeder show or tell that they socialice the baby snakes before selling. Really shows how much you care about the snakes you breed.
Thanks, I appreciate that!
promise you that banana boy made it here nice and clean. his name is Zenitzu and is super curious. Tried to feed him on 10/15 but he didn’t want anything to do with it. will try again on wednesday
That's a great name!
You are a legend 🐍
One thing for sure! When it comes to the snake community , people will say all kinds of ridiculous stuff of what you can and can’t do with a ball python! I have a play pen for mine and they both go in to exercise and while I’m cleaning and they are not trying to attack or eat each other. Love this video 😍😍😍😍
Yes, ball pythons do just fine together. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Super cute I really love the banana morph and Max it’s really nice to see them all exploring and adapting to the new environments so well.
It’s so cool how so many combos and morphs you can get not to mention personalities. 😂 even as someone whose really loved snakes most of my life it’s still new to me that they have personalities outside of pure instinct.
Baby snakes are beautiful ❤
I just got a 3 month old BP. He is super nervous but slowly he has gotten more comfortable with me. Im glad to know im doing it right! lol Love your content
I love seeing everything you do behind the scenes with your noodles and the care you take with your little snakelets while they are with you 😊 I can’t wait to get on the waitlist for Delilah’s clutch!
She's working on a clutch right now :-)
I know your room is escape proof but HOW do you manage to keep them all in those tubs haha!
Awesome video as always, admirable passion for snakes that I just love. ❤
Thanks so much, glad you liked it!
Love seeing all the babies! Hope they had a fun playpen time
Brilliant as usual, just bought a playpen (which I'm looking forward to "furnishing") for my little guy. Thank you for your videos, every one is as precious as the last.
Awesome babies bob 👍
One of my new bp is every on edge soon as I take him out and he doesn’t seem to calm down when I handle him.
It just takes a lot of patience sometimes
That first baby was the "bitiest" BP I've ever seen. Like my king snake was when younger. But still just beautiful. And, I don't know, I sometimes like my snakes to have some attitude (when small and harmless). Very cool.
Yea! A new video from Bob!
I love the playpen! That's a great idea! ❤❤❤ I'm going to have to get one for my girls!
I love your videos! Thanks for sharing good information on how you keep your snake babies. 😊
Thanks so much, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos!
Good morning Bob!
Thanks!
omg i needed this. both of my babies that i got from you are awesome but a little particular. i’m fully aware that ball pythons are not known for being social but these two have been so mellow and curious about exploring. but the oddest thing has been happening both will find ways to get out of their enclosure which is a 36x18x12 that has a divider so they each get a section while they are still little. they both escape their side of the enclosure and they literally sleep next to each other. i have to keep an eye out to get them back to where they belong. they have hides on each side that i’m planning on spraying black because they are a bit translucent and might not be cutting it for them. hot side set to 90 cool side to 80 humidity stable around 50%. i want to make sure that i haven’t missed anything because they are otherwise very gentle a little skittish as ball pythons normally do with no issues with eating. will be feeding the new banana boy today or tomorrow depending on what i see today. i thought i saw his eyes clouding up like he was going into shed.
I plan on getting a baby snake sooon!soon!! woohoo
Im so glad I saw u on snake discovery you are great, I really enjoy watching ppl that talk normal are aren't super loud
Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos!
Hey we use the same water bowls. Great taste
Haha ramekin team, unite! ✊🏻
Since they hatch as a clutch together, in the wild babies would interact more than adults. Also, they're more vulnerable to predation than adults, so they might be sticking together for protection.
They are so beautiful I love the video ❤🐍
Love watching your videos and seeing all your snakes. Question: What kind of playpen is it that you use?
It's a dog playpen that I got from Amazon, in the description of this video there is an Amazon affiliate link list with the playpen on it
Hey Bob. Thanks for another great video. Such cute and awesome babies.
Thanks so much, I appreciate that,!
I noticed that too with my ball python babies; they flock together when they're in their play pen / free roam area.
With my first clutch I got a tip to let them all live together for the first few days / separate them after their first shed. They had numerous hides, but I always found them all tightly tucked together in one when I went to check on them. Maybe it provides a sense of safety for them when they're that young and vulnerable, to stick together? Harder to be singled out by a predator maybe? Interesting to observe anyhow..
Love your videos btw! I felt like such an odd one for how I treated my ball pythons as animals and not objects, and then I saw your videos and how we have the same philosophy and approach to these lovely snakes, and found a lot of comfort and inspiration in that :)
Keep doing what you're doing, and thanks for sharing! You're inspiring a lot of people
I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! Yes, you definitely want to keep babies together until their first shed. They always pile up like that when they're first hatched and waiting to shed.
Ball pythons at any age are adorable, but babies are on another level of cute!! I got my girl when she was already almost a year old, I regret not being able to interact with her as a baby.
Love your video as usual, I probably should just contact you on patreon but could you do a video on what to do during a power outage and proper body shape for health.
Yes, those are very good subjects to discuss
Can you do a video on raising a retic?
Sure!
I have never seen a Ball python so strikey before lol In your youtube description it said your an actor what might I of seen you in?
Yes, I have an IMDb page that you can see what I've done in the past
These lil ones are so cute!! I had to laugh, because I use that exact playpen for raising and socializing my foster kittens. They're great pens! 😀
Has that super OD calico female been claimed?! 😯
Yes, someone has claimed that one already. I almost kept that one for myself, it's such a beautiful snake!
This was so great! Loved seeing how you did this. Thank you for this one.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Its so curious how some snakes are so timid right out of the egg. Especially ball pythons. They are some of the most mellow snakes in general.
Some beautiful babies!
Playpen full of baby BP #winning. That 1st banana and that calico are gorgeous. My next one is either going to be banana or pied.
Those are great choices!
Love this video ❤
aww baby snakes .yes that playpen be a positive out of tub experience ..not shure if I told you but I got a enclosure coming nxt week finally 🐍😘
That's great, congratulations!
Super cool hatchlings bro and great video
Very helpful video! Thank you 🙏

Nice vid, cause I know very little about baby snakes
Cool🐍
I like these type of videos. You're good. Like your channel👍💚
I really like the normal ball python the most
She's a really pretty snake!
Amazing ,,,,, Great content bro '
Ball python morphs are so pretty 😭 I want a corn snake but I feel like I'm gonna get a ball python as well just cuz theyre so pretty. And also your videos make me love ball pythons a lot XD
Corn snakes are great! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos :-)
Future Bob of the Fancy Hats edited this video just fine 🎩
Also, great info and lovely snakes 🐍💚
Thank you so much!
New Fan! Awesome video. I need a noodle playpen
Welcome and thank you so much!
As a person thats grown up from 5yo with multiple snakes ranging from ball pythons to kingsnakes and ratsnakes of different species and different types of boas. Im not a big fan of ball pythons im more of a boa person myself weither it be tree or regular boas. I love the banana ball pythons i have a banana pied and shes absolutely a dream snake. Perfect attitude beautiful pattern and color. MY first snake after moving out of my parents. All around great snake.
Hi! I am thinking about getting an adult ball python, but I have a question about putting snakes back in their enclosures. I remember in another video you had said that you don’t want a snake’s most recent memory of being out of the enclosure to be a negative one so you should let them calm down before putting them back, but here you mention that if you see them getting antsy and their body language changes, you should put them back. So how do you sort of manage that? Thanks!
Great video Bob, do you have any plans to upgrade any of the super dwarf enclosures?
Yes, they are ready for an upgrade now and they'll be getting it soon.
Love the video! I am curious what you saw that made you say “ohh, he’s ready to poop” when you were handling your holdback🧐
But helpful content, as always! Sometimes it’s really nice to just get a look at all the little in-between stuff! Like you wiping the containers out, or the way you place the snakes in the play pen! Or the tid-bit about helping their shed with a few drops of water. Thanks for everything, Bob!! 🐍😌
Just lots of thickness at their tail end :-)
When would you guys possibly be in stock again? I've been looking for a good place to get myself a snake
Check out my Patreon. All my baby snakes go to those supporters and I always announce on Patreon whenever a new clutch is hatching.
@@GreenRoomPythons alright. Might have to check that out
Hi! New snake owner here! I get my new banana baby next Friday and I am studying up like crazy! Your videos are extremely knowledgeable and helpful so thank you!
Question! For the first week of quarantine, do I change the paper towel in the bin if he’s peed? I can’t seem to find anything on this. I know you’re supposed to leave them be for the first week.
Congrats on your new snake! Yes, during the first week and all of quarantine, you can change their paper. You just don't want to take them out of the enclosure and be messing with them during that first week but if you need to pick them up to clean, you can do that.
@@GreenRoomPythonsokay thanks!
@@GreenRoomPythons I have another question for you! How do I keep the quarantine bin humid? I read that keeping the paper towels moist might not be a good thing for the snake? Would a humid hide work? Also at what humidity level is good for him overall? Thank you!
@@demiloren1915 a humid hide would be fine but you can pour a little water on the paper towel. You just don't want the snake sitting on a soaking wet area at all times but a bit of water on a portion of the paper towel is fine.
Thank you again for the info!
Hey Bob, thanks for the video. What baby rack are you using there?
I don't remember which one that is. It's either Cserpents or Black Box Cages
@@GreenRoomPythons ok thank you
You are so awesome, I wish you did boas too ❤ so informative and such a great person.
Thank you so much, I appreciate the kind words! I do have a boa and there will be more boa content in the future :-)
@GreenRoomPythons Hooray!! ♡ Going to binge watch to find it haha.
I found him!! Handsome Dan!!
@@mariahsart that's him! 😉
How do you tell very similar-looking babies apart? Do you ever put them back in the wrong enclosure by mistake?
No, I always can tell by their patterning but I also have a photo of each one in their files just in case things get mixed up.
This was a fun video. They’re all so cute! Someday I’m going to actually touch a snake.
Majority of the pastel I’ve seen online, and my own previously owned Pastel BP was a hisser and striker. Makes me wonder if it’s something particular to their morph…
Pastel is probably the most common morph. Most of mine have been very calm. There's not really any morph in ball pythons that has been proven to affect personality at this point
Not raising a baby snake anytime soon (my girl is a year old), I just clicked for the bebes🥺
If you actually watch them they just act like the others aren't even there.😂
Yep, they just kind of ignore one another
Where do you get your hatchling tubs at?
Hello!!!
I've been wondering this: doesn't the tub system require a heat mat or something similar to that? Or don't the baby snakes need it? I'm just very curious and want to know as much as I can!
Absolutely. They get belly heat in the back of their tub.
@@GreenRoomPythons Oh, so that's what it is 😄 Thank you for the answer! Love your videos.
I'm new to your channel, seen you on Snake Discovery. why don't you put a rough enrichment (small rough item like rock) for help starting the shedding process? I'm curious 😂 really enjoying your channel and hope you get to go to the 2024 build off. I heard you might get a opportunity
I'm glad you're enjoying the channel! Their water dishes heavy ceramic and they work great for helping with shed
Where can I buy one of your ball python’s I don’t see a link
All my snakes go to Patreon supporters. So if you're on the Green Room Python's Patreon, you'll get notified anytime I have a clutch available.
How do you know which snake is which after putting them in the playpen?
They all look different enough that I can tell them apart. And if I can't, each snake has a photo in their file :-)
i’m also looking for a banana ghost or banana clown ball python
Hey Bob, me again, I'm picking up a couple of 2500g breeder females this week and I want to give them the best home possible. If I'm using a rack system for now, do you think a fb40 is enough space? What would you recommend?
I don't know that tub size but I don't believe that's the largest FB tub recommended for ball pythons. You'll need to do some research on it but I believe you need at least one size larger
Not Bob, but I use 40s for my smaller adults. FB70s are the same length but a little wider so I use those for my biggest ball pythons, which are about the size of your new ones. just to make sure they have a bit more wiggle room.
I personally think I want to go maybe a bit larger when I hopefully get more room...but those are the tubs typically sold for larger pythons and boas after that.
My 2,5 years old dwarf boa is so sad he can't fit in kitchen paper rolls anymore... ;)
So we've got THREE baby snakes...i believe theyre babies. My purple passion is almost 6 months. Orange dream banana het clown is 4-5 months and an albino lavender corn snake (super fast, a little creepy. Lol)I have SO MANY QUESTIONS! Im only a mana to "sable the stallion" bc of my son...she was a gift from him and im in love. learning as i go. Thank you so much for the videos! What do you suggest as light/heating options? I have a 20 gal tank with a nice big hide, some 'leaves and vines' and her water bowl/Jacuzzi. I have an overhead flukers lamp with a 100w bulb that projects light and heat and also a 75w one that doesnt light up..only heat. I have been alternating. Id love to know what you suggest! Thanks a billion!!
You should definitely check out the most recent full length video I posted last Monday. Also make sure you watch my ball python care guide. That will help you with a lot of these questions
is it normal to notice a baby ball pythons breathing, do they regularly breathe heavy?
When you open their enclosure and see them breathing heavy, that's just a sign that they're a little bit on edge and nervous. You'll be able to tell that they are relaxing and settling in once they're breathing slows a bit
The babies maybe stay together to have better odds of surviving an attack than going off alone
That's a good theory!
So I rescued a juvenile ball python. Approximately little over 2 ft long. Would it be fine to keep in a 40 gallon front opening tank. That's all I have available. Or do I need to buy a 20 gallon front opening cage.
I never know the dimensions of fish tanks but my guess is a 40 gallon will be plenty big enough. Just make sure it's set up correctly with plenty of hides and clutter
@@GreenRoomPythons 36″L x 18″W x 18″H
You had mentioned being able to get hatchlings to frozen/thawed. Does thay include first meal or is the first meal always live?
Almost all my snakes first meal is frozen thawed. If they refuse three or four times, I switched to live
Do het pied clowns look different than a normal bp with no genetics? What other het genetics are visible in ball Pythons?
There's probably some subtle influence and there are some pied markers sometimes
The babies maybe stick together because of predators, like in a group the chance for one of them to get eaten is significantly lower if theress "that many other options" for a predator. Also groups look often a bit more intimmidating to hunters, and animals which would have no problem killing a solo baby bp, probably think twice about attacking the group. It's not even about the fact that bp don't fight together, it may be just because it gives them security.
Never thought of it but does that playpen make a difference
It keeps them contained and gives them a ton of new enrichment to experience.
Question, how much $ for 15 minutes in the baby ball python play pen?
Hey ive got a question about weight. What do you consider to be a healthy safe qeight for a male or female. And do you concern yourself more with how the snake looks ,body condition or how much it weighs, compared to its length, and age?
Body condition all the way, don't worry about the weight
Hey Bob have a question for you, just wanting to know when you're feeding how long do you wait before you feed the same snake it's second mouse? I feed my ball two mice every Monday by 6pm est. But how long should I wait between the first mouse to the second one? Is 5-10 mins to soon or is that okay?
I only feed two prey items if I've run out of the size they normally would eat. I always recommend feeding one appropriately sized prey item... But if you're going to feed two, just wait until the snake has moved the first one into its belly and then offer the second.
Is there a link to buy this playpen?
Yes, there is a product list in the description of this video which includes that playpen
...is everyone in the D&D Group a Yuan Ti? 🐍
For how long do you consider them babies? Until what age?
I don't really think about it, but maybe under a year
