- Located near Eminence, Missouri is one of the most scenic locations in all of Missouri. Alley Spring and the historic Alley Mill is home to the 7th largest spring in Missouri.
Nearby are the popular canoeing and kayaking rivers of Current River and Jacks Fork River, which are part of the National Park Service of Ozark National Scenic Riverways.

How many times I walked around that spring as a child. Then with my own children years ago. The camping area was on that side then. Also an island in the spring branch people camped on. That was before Scenic Riverways!

When I was very young you could camp at the spring. The mill was a gift shop and they would open and close the damn. I can’t remember if they gave a warning but once the flood gates opened and my father and uncle went chasing our melons down river. We had them rocked off in the spring to cool them down.

Alley Springs is a beautiful place. It's amazing you can be there by yourself. That is one of the things I love about Shannon County. You can be alone.
Absolutely! There are times that it can be busy, but with most scenic places the best times to view are early in the morning and later in the evening.
