Does it tighten up the low end? I use(d) a TS9 volume maxed out and zero gain in B standard. It goes into a JHS Crimson fuzz and works fine, though I wonder if the JHS Screamer does the same trick (and maybe even better)?
I believe the asymmetrical is more like the SD1 overdrive pedal by boss. That’s what makes it have so much but is it adds just a little tiny bit of game but it will make it sound like there’s more than they are actually is. Really cool video my friend!
I have the plumes they sound and feel different to me. Plumes adds low end and this has the typical low end suck of a tube screamer. Plumes also has way more volume and gain on tap and 3 modes instead of 2.
"Think about it" The Plumes is, what?, three years old or so? According to JHS, the Series 3 Screamer is based on TS mods Josh Scott was doing fourteen years ago or more. If anything, the timeline suggests the Plumes is the JHS modded TS, not the other way around. Plus: The EQD pedal has three modes, the JHS only two and the pedals don't sound alike in any demo I've heard (I haven't heard either pedal live).
maybe i am just not sophisticated enough in the ear department, but i hear no difference between either setting and i doubt anyone would hear it in a full band mix. think i will just stick with my Joyo Vintage Overdrive i got for $20.
@@shredaintdead9323 again, that is really small potatoes in the grand scheme. Especially playing very gain heavy styles, "feel" and "subtle" is not worth spending money on or splitting hairs over.

It's definitely a subtle tone difference and more of a feel difference between the 2 modes.
