The deaths where characters fall off the bridge can be considered deaths because most bridges are so high up that fall from them can kill you even if there is water below 😅
That scene where the kid on the bike getting flattened out changed my life. It was the first movie death I ever saw. As someone who lives in NC it's always special to me that this movie is one of those few actually good horror movies filmed here... Also I love AC/DC... But I still think the funniest thing about this movie is the mental image of Stephen King being mad at Kubrick for 'ruining' the shining, so he decides "I'll do it myself" and it backfires horribly
This movie will always be special to me. My dad showed this to movie as one of my first horror movies, we watched it during the pandemic and I fell in love with it. We were even lucky to see the full restored Goblin Head at our local comic con once the pandemic ended, It was awesome!!Ever since then, my dad and I have made it a yearly tradition to watch this the week, or even day that it takes place. We think this movie RULES!
I’m so glad you said this movie rules, I first saw it when I was a kid and it terrified and intrigued me. The concept is actually really good it just wasn’t properly delivered!
While Midsommar gave the most accurate depiction of a mushroom trip I've seen, this movie gives me the best depiction of what it's like to be high on cocaine...but like, not a scene in the movie. The entire vibe of the movie itself. This is like the "Dude, what if-" movie that we come up with while smoking and drinking and whatnot with friends in college, but existing as evidence of what would happen if someone listened to our script ideas lol
A fact you forgot to mention: The ice cream truck was supposed to do multiple rollovers, but the special effects to make it roll didn’t fire correctly, causing the truck to land on its roof & slide for a bit, nearly hitting & killing the camera operator

i love you james, been tuning in every week for the last 4 years i can’t imagine my life without dead meat, y’all are seriously amazing
The deaths where characters fall off the bridge can be considered deaths because most bridges are so high up that fall from them can kill you even if there is water below 😅
That scene where the kid on the bike getting flattened out changed my life. It was the first movie death I ever saw. To have it be a kid riding a bike after a baseball game made me terrified during my little league days. Anytime I heard a loud noise I’d always think it was the steamroller looking for me. Great movie tho. 😂
i hate it when evil space dust makes my car evil
Evil space dust? 😰
Real as fuck lmao.
@johnsonsharon81 the dust from the comet.
@@jesusromanpadro3853 😱😱
Well sometimes. It is bit inconsistent (like wedding car didn't try to kill them.)
19:30 SHE SAID IT!! 🎉
19:29 Yes she did
Sorry about the issues with copyright but thank you for covering this movie
I've been waiting for the next Kill Count for months! The fact it's my favorite Video Game Series and how Zoran treats his videos. I am so excited to see how it comes out.
I saw this movie far earlier than I should have as a kid.
That steamroller scene stuck with me for years!
RIP Olivia Hussey
“CURTIS DON’T YOU MAKE ME A WIDOW ON MY WEDDIN DAY” I fuckin love Connie 😂
I cannot wait to see the RE1R kill count. Video game counts is something I've been hoping y'all'd do for years and years.
YOU CAN'T DO THIS! WE MADE YOU!!! 24:13
I would just love everyone to realise and or think about the fact that James has had such a disdain of "bastard skellies" so vehemently that he would rather count sentient cars, FUCKING CARS, before basic ass skeletons, (and also dogs, other than cujo.) That takes a lot of commitment.😂
Time to shift into Maximum Overdrive!
I knew I should have gotten the turbo... -_-
@@PhantosTheHedgehog HYAHHH!!!
@UTTPBABYKID what the fuck??
Why didn’t you get THE TURBO. THATS MORE IMPORTANT
@ I knew I should’ve got the turbo
A personal memory I have connected this movie is that me and my now boyfriend were watching this together. At the end of the movie when we were getting ready to both say goodbye for the night. I confessed to him, strange movie to confess your love to someone but hey, it made it an unforgettable film for me
Aw that's so sweet
Hey when ya know ya know!!❤ I just ordered & bought this movie for my hubby for Christmas cause he mentioned he hadn't seen it on in awhile & we had watched it yrs ago on a date night, then within that week James announced he'd be covering it...blew my mind w the freakish coincidence! Heck, maybe there's magic to this movie lol! ❤💞❤️
A massive reason I love Dead Meat is all the little behind the scene info we get
Dead Meat is one of the very few channels on TH-cam that I have enjoyed consistently. I've been watching these guys since 2018.
Former Southeast Michigander now living in the south, have learned people call each other bubba as a term of endearment. its what one guy will call another in a friendly way similar to bro or dude.
It’s also a bit of a thing older folks say to younger people in particular
Bless your heart.
@@andiward7068 that one has never been said to me, but i did once get a " go bak ter were ye came from yankee!" it was a new employee...they didnt last long.
Congratulations for getting this out of Copyright hell

OH HELL YEAH!! Maximum Overdrive is finally on the Kill Count. Thank God James and the rest of the Dead Meat crew fixed the copyright issue.
😃😎💯
For a second I had to check what time this came out to make sure the video game kill counts would come out soon.
Dead Meat is already a part of my weekly routine (y'all usually post when I'm at physical therapy/the chiropractor) but a Kill Count that had to escape from Copyright Hell? A Kill Count on a sunny afternoon? I am SEATED. Plus, you had me at an AC/DC OST! Let's do it! Happy Holidays, y'all! ❤️❤️❤️
Loved the Curtis Count segment! That was perfect 😂
Same here. Wilmington has changed so much sense then.
Im so hype to watch uncle zoran count these video game kills HELL YEAH
"This machine just called me an asshole!"
I’m so glad you said this movie rules, I first saw it when I was a kid and it terrified and intrigued me. The concept is actually really good it just wasn’t properly delivered!
Happy New Year to James, Chelsea, Zoran and the rest of the Dead Meat Crew!
19:13 deep deadmeat lore. bravo!
I had a chuckle at the inclined plane joke. Good one, James!
man, these are some of my favorite types of kill counts. Older films which are just pure schlock and silliness
Damn, crazy fact. Cool to know tho
@@maxx115 yeah. I only recently found it out after all these years
I've only discovered you guys this year but you've very quickly become one of my all-time favourite channels. Thank you so much for all your hard work. ♥ Can't wait to see what you have in store for 2025. 🙂 Happy new year, everybody!
“No, not that coke machine!”
Most out of pocket Stephen King roast☠️
It passed through! Studios need to learn that you're essentially promoting their films and they're preventing them from being known by copywriting and gatekeeping them, then not releasing them themselves.
James throwing shade at nitpicking gun nerds gives me much joy.
“God Speed Spider-Man”
-The Goblin
"I offered you premium gasoline, and you spat in my face."
You know I’m something of a Truck Driver myself
Congrats to the Dead Meat team on a successful 2024 going on 25, and to James for finally pronouncing "Giancarlo Esposito" correctly after saying it wrong in the MaXXXine Kill Count.
I learned!
So I've been pronouncing it wrong this entire time? It's not pronounced "eh-spo-SEE-toh"?
26:50 bro turned into Beetlejuice
As a kid I remember watching Maximum Overdrive on Christmas Eve afterwards they showed both Santa's Slay & Jack Frost. What a childhood.
0:21 pls do silver bullet dawg🙏
The green goblin truck is iconic.
Just imagine seeing that in your rearview mirror
The green goblin face is the first thing I always think of when this movie is brought up.
the shade at the gun accuracy enforcers had me dying. also OMG RESIDENT EVIL NEXT WEEK?!
Chonk, chonk! Happy New Year James, Chelsey, Zoran, Lucy, Chloe and the Deadmeat team.😊❤
Love how James just casually tells us that he's buddy with a member of INK
He’s been in several INK music videos and had Spencer appear in a couple to the numbers bits as well!
11:09 NOT THE CURTIS COUNT JAMES AAAA
One “Curtis” every 4 minutes. 😧 that’s unnecessary
final KC of the year! so proud of the entire team for this incredible year. grateful to you all!
hell of year. amazing job everyone. so proud to be a longtime viewer, you guys are the best.
“The Curtis Count” damn it James 😂
James (and/or Dead Meat crew) if you happen to read this please do more funny bits like that in future Kill Counts, cuz that was hilarious 😂
1:54 Don’t wore, James, I’m a Canadian who prefers Football over Hockey. I am also a disgrace to my culture.
And I’m a Coloradan who doesn’t like skiing
Canadian or American?
Football, I mean.
@@samos4924Probably American because TSN Bardown group wore NFL jerseys during an quiz.
