A highlight of any visit to Lisbon is a ride on the classic tram route number 28. The route passes through many of Lisbon’s finest districts including Baixa, Graca and Alfama.

There is a point system for the wire called an automatic frog which is set so that any tram coming uphill towards the frog goes onto the left hand wire in the video and any tram heading downhill towards the frog goes onto the single wire above the tram.

At '0:42" how do the trams manage to go in opposite directions using the same trolley wire/rails?
